00:12this recycling program i started learning more about the deforestation of the rainforest and it
00:16became like a massive passion of mine and um and then i wanted to be go to school to be a marine
00:21biologist so i spent two years doing that got transferred over to wildlife biology but i've
00:24always been very very obsessed with the environment and wanting to help it and so it's really cool to
00:30be in a position now i didn't think i was gonna become an actor it was the last thing i thought
00:34it would be and uh but it's neat now to be aquaman and to be able to have a voice and for instance
00:39to be able to go to the un and speak on behalf of um small island nations ego our fear and our
00:46relentless drive for profits have made us the only species willing to force this harmony with the
00:51natural balance of our world oh doing the un speech was definitely the scariest thing i've ever done
00:58because it's you up there you're not playing some role it's my heart there's some real shit that needs
01:03to be said you don't want to piss off too many people but you want to piss off some people and you
01:06don't want to show your coat stuff i was very nervous i'm even nervous talking about it uh because it's
