00:00Good morning, I'm Daniel Smith, Managing Director of Barrick David Wilson, Yorkshire East.
00:05This morning we're at our Wolvesview and Stewart's Reach developments at Pocklington.
00:12We're building 380 units from two beds all the way through to five beds.
00:19Our Barrick units are being built in timber frame and the David Wilson units traditional.
00:24Both sites here are the first in our Yorkshire patch to work on air source heat pumps with underfloor heating to the ground floors.
00:35We are delivering around 63% carbon reduction compared to a current building regulation requirement of around 32%.
00:43We've been building on site for around 18 months now and legal completion started to take place in June 24.
00:51From an affordable housing point of view, we're providing 30%.
00:57That's been delivered, the majority of it through Joseph Roundtree Housing Trust.
01:02And we have also got the benefit of a first home scheme where we can sell to first time buyers offering 70% of market value homes, which have been very successful.
01:14There are local requirements around that, which we've been meeting and supporting local housing needs.
01:21From a modern method of construction point of view, the timber frame units have been delivered through Barrett.
01:29They are constructed by our own in-house timber frame company, Oregon, who have a manufacturing plant in Derby.
