00:00You must have realized the intent of this government over the last 10 years,
00:03some of the most unexpected decisions taken, which were not even demanded for,
00:08like, for example, opening the space to the private sector,
00:12and also this year the announcement to open the nuclear sector.
00:18Now, these are two departments which had reconciled to function behind a wheel of secrecy.
00:23There was no demand.
00:24Those working in these departments were reconciled that this was the way how it should be.
00:28The nation and the society also felt that, look, these are the departments.
00:31They have to function like that.
00:33But when it was realized that to move on from where we were,
00:38we could not wholly depend on the government's sources and resources,
00:42Prime Minister Modi allowed us to open up to the private sector.
00:46And the results have been miraculous.
00:48If you take even the example of space, we were just a minimal economy until about four or five years back.
00:53Today we are eight billion U.S. dollars,
00:55and the pace of its ascent is so fast that the next eight, ten years,
00:59we hope to grow five times more to 45 billion U.S. dollars,
01:03which means that in the years to come,
01:06space economy of India is going to be a very important component of India's growth story.
