00:00Here's John McGuinness on the TT Legends bike, a little bit of a spot again there as he went
00:12past the podium. Guy Martin on the Taiko Suzuki went wide towards the scoreboard but much more
00:18central this time around, the blue and white leathers, the yellow helmets of Guy Martin away.
00:24Here's the man of the meeting, Michael Dunlop. He's carrying on the black, front wheel popping up in the air again as he strokes the pocket of Kepp Lane.
00:38Belting start from this man, he really did fire that off the line. He always does so aggressive off the start and for the first few miles he just gets stuck straight in.
00:47Look at this. They all got in their minds about the melting tyre, it won't be at this section of the court but yeah, it is quite
00:54spectacular isn't it to set off without any practice warm up or anything. Looking back now, John McGuinness.
01:00Yep. Looks as settled as most people when you get that on board sort of looking back at the rider. Again, Kurt Michael, that's what it looks like from the front of the bike.
01:09These guys giving it ever. This is the big one really, we said it before, it's like the Wimbledon, the Grand National, it's LeMond, it's the trophy that everyone wants to be on.
01:16Yep, you want that one on your mantelpiece if you're going to have any. This is Haley at Malafa. That's a really nice jump, you can do a lot of damage there but not a lot of gain.
01:24Yeah, absolutely, the more time you're in the air, the less power you're putting down. Correct, John McGuinness.
01:30And I'll tell you what, there's been some cracking starts, there's about a second and a half in six riders at Glen Helen.
01:36That was a bigger jump, it's not like John, that's an indication I think of how much he's pushing on. He was determined to make a good start.
01:42Sure, and I think it's Gary Johnson just in front as they get to this point, but in front of this guy and his brother William, they're all so close, there's just a second in him.
01:49Yeah, and I think that's a steadier jump for Michael and John over Belaf, that's unusual.
01:54And here is Gary Johnson hard on the brakes on the link listing machine and got to get it all nicely straightened up.
02:00Second gear, nicely done, very smooth. There you can see, Michael Dunlop has just crept in front of Johnson now, just 0.3 of a second.
02:07Yeah, Johnson had led by a fraction at Glen Helen, look at this, this, it's Michael Dunlop trying to get past Broussaint.
02:13Ooh, they didn't see each other there, did they? Not at all, and it might look a wide road, but when you're doing 175, 180 miles an hour, it's like curve to curve.
02:21And the helicopter can't keep up, we keep saying it, but it keeps not being able to keep up.
02:26Yeah, up the top of the mountain now, and again, look at, man, many people are up here.
02:29Yep, we've got James Hill here, I think Cam Donald's just come flying through there, this will be John McGuinness.
02:34And he's in the hunt as well, he's fractions of a second behind, er, well, there's Gary Johnson in second, Michael Dunlop later, this lad is now third, but there's not much in it.
02:44And there goes Dunlop, let's have a look to see exactly what's going on at the end of lap one, and it is, we know Dunlop is leading, but McGuinness now up into second place.
02:53Look at that, Johnson, Rutter and Martin behind.
02:55Lap two of the senior race, and you can see from the leaderboard, it's 1.38 seconds that Dunlop has over McGuinness.
03:01And there is Dunlop on that screen there, trying to get past Cam Donald, he is absolutely flying.
03:06He is, and he's going to do it at Rink Cullen.
03:08Now this is John McGuinness, and look who's stuck to his rear end, that's, he started first at James Hillier, this is good for James Hillier.
03:15Dunlop here, still trying to get past Cameron Donald, he's probably losing a bit of time here in fairness.
03:19Yeah, we're looking forward from Bruce Anstey's Padgett Honda.
03:23He squeezes through, he got past, and that's his job, and he passed with him.
03:29Towards Balaf, down through the gearbox, we ride with Bruce Anstey, and that's Michael Dunlop in front, let's check him out, straightens it up and over again.
03:36Look at this, McGuinness is closing in, so, well I reckon Dunlop did get held up, now McGuinness is 0.5 in the second behind.
03:42John McGuinness climbs the mountain, and I tell you what, I'm impressed with James Hillier on the Kawasaki there.
03:47The court drop by Kawasaki, because he hasn't been shaken off too, and this is going to help his goals as well.
03:52Yeah, we're riding with Bruce Anstey, you can just about in the distance see Michael Dunlop, and we'll get you some times from Ramsey Herpin as they blast up towards the goose thing.
04:01And there it is, look at that, the old Warhols, McGuinness is in front of Dunlop, 0.23 of a second.
04:08Right, John McGuinness through Brad, and he goes through there, and after that electric pit stop, his lead now is 6 seconds, and that's impressive.
04:16His crew is second to none of the TT, Steve, and they never make a mistake.
04:21Anyway, now we'll see if this man, number 3, John McGuinness can respond, and if he responds, then he's going to respond with James Hillier again.
04:27Exactly.
04:28There's number 14, Dean Harrison on the Kawasaki, the RC Express Racing Machine in the top 10 having a great week.
04:34Michael Dunlop in second as it out, and look how quick Steve.
04:38Wow.
04:39Bruce Anstey's got right in the back of Michael down towards the creek.
04:43On board with Hillier, and we know he's now gone up into fifth place, and that's courtesy of John McGuinness doing everything he can.
04:48Drag him up, look at their faces, they can't believe what they're seeing here today.
04:52I don't know whether McGuinness knows he's helping it, but he certainly is.
04:55He can't get rid of him, that's right.
04:56He can't, he can't shake him up.
04:57McGuinness through the bottom of Bray, oh, shakes in the bottom.
05:01At the end of lap three, John McGuinness Dunlop, Anstey now has moved up in front of Guy Martin, Hillier and Rutter.
05:08Yeah, you can see how close Hillier and McGuinness are there from that shot.
05:13Now looking back from Guy Martin, and I can tell you, Hillier's now into fourth place.
05:18He has displaced Guy Martin, the man we're riding with, looking back at Michael Dunlop and Bruce Anstey, because Hillier is getting dragged along.
05:26Yeah, here we go, Slipstream City, and there is Michael Dunlop.
05:29He's on the inside, it gets tight there, but he's got down the inside. He might be dropping Bruce off now.
05:34Yeah, this is the end of Cronkibody, that's Molyneux and Newlyneux.
05:37Oh, ho, ho, ho!
05:41Short-circuit stuff into, er, into Kregner Barkers. It's the corner you learn first, it's the corner you watch after.
05:46Oh, my goodness, did you see that? John McGuinness, the spectators nearly fell off the bank there.
05:52In to Governor's Dip, it's tight, and there's back markers in there.
05:55Always feels like you're just going to fall off and tip over, you've been doing 190 miles now.
05:59Back markers getting shoved out of the way by Hillier.
06:02On to the Glen Crookshire Road. We haven't seen a bad pit stop from certainly the Honda Legend side of the garage that looks after John McGuinness yet, all week.
06:11Right, the clock's ticking, and there goes Bruce Anstey, he's away, is he away before Michael? And he is, look at that.
06:18And you can see Michael, look, shaking his head, he's annoyed, he's got to re-pass Bruce Anstey and get back in front of him to go fast.
06:26And it's lap five, John McGuinness there, number three, leads this race. We're not exactly sure what it is, but somewhere around ten seconds.
06:32Still towing, don't you?
06:34Yeah, John McGuinness has been nicking time on Michael, don't look the whole way around, good ride from Hillier.
06:40Kelsak is still saying it is good, and here he comes, Michael Dunlop coming into the bungalow.
06:46And it is, it is ten seconds.
06:48Ten seconds.
06:49Thirty-seven, three-quarter miles for John McGuinness to take his 20th TT, if he can keep this up.
06:54Here's the man that's chasing him, but it does look like that, John McGuinness has done it.
06:58Here we get confirmation of that, look at that, fantastic, 9.8 seconds that he has over Dunlop.
07:04Now then, that's the man, John McGuinness.
07:07What's going through his mind?
07:08Yeah, I'm hoping that the bike keeps running, that's what's going through his mind.
07:11Yeah, this is going to be his 20th win, this is Bruce Hansen.
07:13Now he has, he's got past, he had to go past Michael Dunlop.
07:16He'll have got the signals, possibly at the gooseneck, I think.
07:18Yeah, I would have thought so.
07:19And you cannot not be tired now, you've done five and three-quarter laps, you've got to be worn out.
07:24And there he goes, it looks like Mallory Hairpin through there, he's got it laid on its side.
07:28But there goes John McGuinness, he is going to take his 20th TT win, 41st podium.
07:34What a result from him.
07:35A lot of people wanting him to win, but everyone thought Dunlop with his four wins was going to do it here.
07:39But John McGuinness comes back strong.
07:41That's really emotional for me.
07:43Everybody thought that the tide had changed.
07:46Oh, look at that.
07:47Yeah, Dunlop goes.
07:48He knows, he knows his race after it.
07:50To win a six-lap senior TT, in these conditions it's red out there, the tarmac's melting, it's just lovely.
