00:07Start-up intelligence company Dealroom.co ranked the best cities in Europe and the rest of the world

00:13for investment, talent and innovation in the tech sector.

00:17Paris emerged as the top tech hub on the continent, followed by London.

00:22The two capitals are also fourth and sixth respectively in the global ranking.

00:28Brexit didn't help London to retain its top position.

00:32Last year, British startups raised just slightly more than 19 billion euros in funding,

00:39reportedly the lowest amount since 2020.

00:43Nonetheless, the UK remains a driving force of Europe's tech scene.

00:48The report says Cambridge has the highest concentration of tech talent in Europe

00:53with an enterprise value of over 162 billion euros and a population of just around 150,000.

01:02Cambridge is followed by Munich, Oxford, Stockholm and London.

01:07The report also ranks the top rising stars in Europe depending on growth in enterprise value and unicorns.

01:14Kyiv resulted as the top rising star thanks to a booming tech environment

01:19which saw the number of professionals growing from an estimated 75,000 in 2014 to over 300,000 in 2023.
