Snap CEO unveils new smart glasses after $3 billion bet

Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel revealed the company’s $3 billion investment in next-gen AR glasses while speaking at Augmented World Expo.

00:09That's right, we've been building AR glasses since before Snapchat had chat.

00:16We're obsessed with making computers more human.

00:21And with advances in AI, computers are thinking and acting like humans more than ever before.

00:27But if we want to unleash the true potential of AI, we need to bring it into the real world.

00:36So we're on our fifth generation of Spectacles.

00:39They're fully stand-alone, lightweight, immersive, see-through AR glasses.

00:45There's no bulky headset, no puck, no tether, no phone required.

00:51And they're powered by Snapdragon.
