00:05of Lance Corporal Bernard Mungan. The 33-year-old was found dead in his captured garrison room in
00:11January 2020, three weeks after he was last seen. An inquest which is ongoing at North Allerton
00:18Coroner's Court heard the Lance Corporal told a colleague he felt manipulated by seniors
00:24and was being overworked in what he described as a hostile environment. The court also heard he had
00:31a history of depression and suicidal thoughts and had recently been treated by military and civilian
00:37doctors. A GP who saw him said he had reported drinking heavily, feeling low and having fleeting
00:44thoughts of suicide but later showed some signs of improvement. The inquest continues for another week.
