00:14I know of recent instances where despite egregious behaviour of councillors elected unopposed, they remain in post regardless of the wishes of their community and their council.
00:24Well we want to see high standards in public life, that includes in local government and for councillors as well, and we are looking at how we can take steps and bring forward legislation to continue to raise standards in local government.
