00:00It's a pinch me moment. It's just a huge honour to have his Manchester King bestowing me with this honour.
00:07My mum's here and she's been emotional since it was announced during the first and today's just a great day for the family really.
00:14Well, I've got the pleasure of working closely with the King. We were just comparing who's a bigger workaholic.
00:20He was very chuffed that he'd managed to personally give me this honour and he actually apologised for it taking so long, which is not a problem at all.
00:29Obviously from my background being the son of immigrants, my parents coming here from Pakistan, it's a big deal for us.
00:35But also it's a recognition of, I think, the way which public service can be recognised and I'm really grateful.
00:43There's lots of things we've done which we're really proud of, making sure every child who goes to a primary school in London gets a free school meal,
00:48cleaning up the air is really important, making sure that we invest in housing that people can afford, council housing,
00:56increasing the amount of cycle lanes, really important, freezing tube fares for five years, bus fares for six years.
01:03What I'm really proud is the chance to work with Londoners, like his majesty.
01:10Will you join me?
01:13I'll see you next time.
01:15I'll see you next time.
01:18Thanks.
01:20It's 5 years.
01:23It's a good time.
