00:00So my name is Roger Hydes and we are today opening officially the new Tobal Seniors Club
00:07which is a main member of the game is to provide a facility for social gathering for the elderly
00:14and those that are either suffering from anxiety or nervous points and want somewhere to chat
00:20and they come along here and with a grant from the council of £4,000 we hope to run the system
00:27so that every Tuesday from around about 12.30am to 3pm they can come along and we will provide them with free food
00:35and light refreshments, tea, coffee, that sort of chance.
00:39They get a chance to put the world to rights as a chat or just generally meet other people
00:44and get out from the normal mundane of staying indoors.
00:49And to open it today we've got about 11 to 12 people that came along with the Golden Oams representatives
00:55who provide this facility for free. We can have that on any day of the week we want
01:00providing we can have a small booking. We've then developed this nice community garden
01:05where local residents and ourselves have sort of taken away all the unsafe kit, replanted it
01:12and have planted in fruit trees, perennials and that sort of stuff so people can benefit from the use of the garden.
01:18Okay so hopefully we want to grow the numbers from the current time of 11 up to around about 25 people
01:25and that is because of the building's structure we can't have any more on that
01:29and then encourage other people in other parities to do the same.
