00:00Hello friends welcome to Pyaar Bhi Hindi. In today's video we will talk about some features of Microsoft Excel which are needed in daily life or daily work environment and can be a great time saver for us.
00:30That if someone has given us normal data which is not a part of Pivotal where we do not have the option to choose the Pivotal option by right clicking, then what can we do in that case, so here today we will tell you a different method of Microsoft Excel
01:00If we want to make any changes in these, then first we select the entire data range. If we want to select the black, then our first requirement is that the entire range is selected.
01:18Where we just have to select blank, okay for that how will we do it, we will go to home menu, go to find and select, go to go to special and here we
01:30After coming to go to special, you will choose blank. As soon as you choose blank, now you will see the selection changing here.
01:38You must be seeing that in all the cells, the ones that had values got separated and the ones that were blank remained here. In the same way you can choose the cell on the basis of formula or on any other basis as well. Even now we have chosen the cell but now I have to write 0 in all of them simultaneously, so I will manually type я┐╜
02:08So here we will use another shortcut of Microsoft Excel, that is we write the value in any selected cell, we will get 0, okay and now after entering it directly here, if I press enter, then the value will be written in this cell, I will press control here and then press control and enter in the keyword, then you will see
02:38You can see a dash here. If you change its formatting then you will see it in normal format. If you change the currency or number then you will see zero format or zero value written here. So for now let us keep it in accounting format and you should enter the currency symbol in it.
03:08This data is not presentable, so in this case, you would want to shorten it, so while selecting it, you have to pay attention to it because the level of the row is different or your matters header and then the grand total after that is also in its own place, so we will need both of them there.
03:38We selected all the data from top to bottom. Now after this we will go to the home menu, go to short and filter and go to custom short.
03:47ok after going to custom short I will go to option here and here you have to choose whether short top to bottom or short left to right, okay and according to which row, that is according to row number 1, okay and when I do ok then now here it is asking whether to show the number as a number or number and text separately.
04:17After that you will tick it and press ok, you will see here that now your date has been properly shortened to September, October, November, December, then from January till August 2019, so in this way your data has been shortened month wise without disturbing the total and in a proper manner and you
04:47So please comment and let me know so that I can know and the rest of our viewers can also know. If you have seen this for the first time and you feel that it is useful then do not forget to try it and if you like the video then like and share it, thank you.
