00:02I started Morbid Metal a few years ago as a solo dev,
00:05and what began as a small passion project has evolved into something far more ambitious.
00:10It hit Steam Early Access this summer, and I can't wait to show you more.
00:18Morbid Metal is a fast-paced, rogue-lite hack-and-slash
00:21that is built for intense combo-driven combat.
00:24You play as an advanced AI, trapped inside a deadly simulation.
00:28Your mission explores beautiful and brutal iterations,
00:33grow stronger, and prove your worth to your creator.
00:38You'll control up to three characters.
00:40It's a bit like switching weapons in a shooter,
00:43except here you're switching full-on play styles.
00:47Each character has their own unique combat style and active abilities,
00:51which are unlocked as you explore the simulation.
00:53You can even chain attacks between different characters.
00:58Start with Vector to quickly dispatch enemies,
01:00switch to Flux for a flurry of hits,
01:03and finish your combo with Echo's Special Attack.
01:07Mastering each playstyle will be essential,
01:10as you'll face a variety of powerful enemies,
01:13each with their own attack patterns and weaknesses.
01:15And at the end of every biome, you'll face powerful bosses.
01:19These are dramatic, high-stakes encounters,
01:22designed to be tough but rewarding.
01:25Each new run reshapes the world.
01:27Layouts shift, enemy types change,
01:29and you'll have to adapt and make strategic choices to succeed.
01:34Choose character upgrades, buffs, or curses that change how you play.
01:38Some of these choices push you to take risks,
01:42others offer abilities, rewards, and modifiers,
01:45which alter your combat style.
