New Delhi, June 09, 2025 (ANI): As eight passengers travelling towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) fell from excessive crowded train at Mumbra railway station, Railway Board ED (I&P) Dilip Kumar on June 09 informed that automatic door closer facilities will be provided for all rakes in the future for Mumbai suburban. “Information has been received about some passengers falling from a local train near Mumbra station. Through detailed, we found that these passengers were travelling on foot-board and that’s why they fell from the train. They were sent to the hospital for treatment and Medical team of railway administration were also reached to the incident site…To stop this type of incident, Railway Board decided to provide automatic door closer facilities for all rakes in the future for the Mumbai suburban…Automatic door closer facilities have been available to the rakes of all Vande Bharat train and Namo Bharat train. We will provide this facility in other trains also…” said Dilip Kumar.
