00:00Welcome to the Power Hour. This morning we're going to take a look at the dangerous alliance
00:04and tag team competition. It will be beautiful Bobby and stunning Steve Austin taking on the
00:08former U.S. Tag Champions, Flying Brian and the Z-Man. Plus, Missy Hyatt does the mail.
00:15That and more this morning on the Power Hour.
00:30Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is set for one fall. Introducing first, being
00:56led to the rift by the Executive Director of the York Foundation, Alexandra York, Atlanta,
01:04Georgia. Weighing 229 pounds, Thomas Rich. Thomas Rich of the York Foundation. A lot of rumors
01:16circulating about Terrence Taylor of the York Foundation wanting to make an exit from that
01:21group.
01:26And wrestling fans, his opponent. He is from New York City. He weighs 290 pounds. Heavy
01:36metal, Van Hammer!
01:40As heavy metal, Van Hammer makes his way to the ring, everyone. We'd like to invite
01:52our fans in the Atlanta area to join us this Monday, 7 o'clock at Center Stage. And then
01:59Tuesday in Gainesville, Georgia at the Georgia Mountain Center. That'll be Tuesday night.
02:06Both those events start at 7 o'clock. All the top WCW stars. Over 30 of them, as a matter
02:14of fact, good to promote Center Stage and Gainesville.
02:17Heavy metal, Van Hammer and Thomas Rich will both be involved in Starrcade. As a matter of
02:26fact, through the lethal lottery, they could conceivably be tag team partners. As you know,
02:3240 names will be put into a hat and drawn out at random to form 20 tag teams that will be
02:43involved in 10 tag team matches. And heavy metal, Van Hammer, giving a t-shirt to one of his little
02:49hammerheads. And he says that effectively. I want some mom to say, Jim Ross called my kid a hammerhead.
03:00The veteran Thomas Rich from Atlanta, got an elbow tie up with heavy metal, Van Hammer. In this hour, we're
03:09telling you about the event in the Omni on Christmas night. Also about what you can expect to see
03:17tonight and tomorrow here on TV. WCW later today and main event tomorrow. Thomas Rich grabbing a
03:28double handful of hair and taking heavy metal Van Hammer down. Van Hammer and El Higante will be
03:35joining forces in the next few weeks in tag team competition to take on Cactus Jack and
03:41Abdullah the Butcher. Sunset flip by Hammer and Rich able to keep his balance and follow up with the
03:51right hand. Hammer and Cactus have really been involved in some serious problems in the last few
04:00weeks. Wouldn't it be something at Starrcade if they were tag team partners? Thomas Rich
04:08in a rather chaotic environment right now in the York Foundation, it would seem. Put to the face. Right
04:18there. Good move by Rich. And Thomas Rich with using the tape with a blatant choke hole. Referee Nick
04:30Patrick saw that one. Again choking heavy metal Van Hammer. The fabulous Freebirds are going to be
04:43at center stage Friday, the December 20th for a concert. More on that in the hour.

06:16Bobby. Two men that not too long ago were bitter rivals over the World Television Championship,
06:20and they'll be taking on the former U.S. Tag Champions, Flying Brian and the Z-Man. But right
06:26now, I'd like to send it to the ring. He's one of the most flamboyant, one of the hottest wrestlers
06:30in WCW, and he's without Peanuthead. He's Johnny B. Badd.
06:36The following contest, it is set for one fall. Introducing first, from Macon, Georgia, weighing

11:44You have to remember that he does not have
11:46a great deal of in-ring wrestling experience.
11:50But his raw abilities are certainly,
11:52I think, easily identified.
11:55About 6'4".
11:57Anywhere from 360 to 375 pounds.
12:04I do not think you should be allowed
12:06to wear his sunglasses in a match
12:07of any intensity.
12:09I think that his wrestling boots
12:13are very substandard
12:14and very, very dangerous.
12:17But this is an awesome man.
12:20And I am under the impression
12:22that he will soon be forming a tag team
12:25with Big Van Vader.
12:29Vader 445.
12:31Hughes about 360 to 375.
12:33And they would make an awesome combination.
12:36And from a couple of informal talks
12:38I've had with Harley Race,
12:39that man,
12:40he says that he can put Race and Vader,
12:45or put Hughes and Vader together
12:47and beat the Steiner brothers.
12:50So we'll keep our eye on that situation as well.
