“Kashmir to kanyakumari connected” Loco-pilot on first Vande Bharat passenger train to Kashmir

Katra, J&K, June 7, 2025 (ANI): Praveen Kumar, loco-pilot of the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express, described the train's launch as a historic moment, connecting India’s railway network from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. He said “"This is a historic moment that India's railway network from Kashmir to Kanyakumari has been connected... Adequate security has been deployed for the train as well as the passengers, all along the route... The track is the same, but since this is the world's highest bridge, we have to maintain a speed limit of 85 kmph... This is an all-weather train and has been built to maintain temperature..."
