00:00The Brew Crew, of course, had their eight-game win streak snap,
00:03but now they've won nine of their last ten.
00:05Milwaukee, five games above .500,
00:08and this weekend the Brewers will play host to the San Diego Padres.
00:12Minus 144, the number in favor of Milwaukee,
00:15over-understands at eight and a half.
00:17How does this Milwaukee matchup begin this weekend?
00:20Yeah, it's an interesting one because I'm not in love with either one of these lineups.
00:24Now, Randy Vasquez is one of the guys I like to try to pick on
00:26because he uses a high XFIP number, but he's starting to improve that.
00:29And over the past 30 days, you take a look at his number at a 4.22.
00:31He was well over five and close to six in a lot of his 30-day splits throughout the season,
00:36but improving and not going up against a great team here on offense.
00:40If there's one guy, take a look and say,
00:41Donnie, give me one RBI prop from a Milwaukee Brewers perspective.
00:44It's Christian Yelich because you do see the struggle with Vasquez
00:47as a right-handed pitcher against left-handed batters,
00:49Yelich from the left-handed batting side, batting in the middle of that order.
00:52That's where I would look.
00:53If we take a look at Chad Patrick, he hasn't been bad.
00:55You take a look at his ERA, 2.81, but a higher XFIP number over the past month
00:59that does get over four.
01:01He's had 25 and two-thirds innings pitched,
01:04and Vasquez 26 and a third innings pitched over the past month.
01:07He do have a good sample size.
01:08So for my money, I don't love this game.
01:11Maybe if you're looking for an abat here from the San Diego Padres
01:13going up against Patrick, he struggles a little bit with lefties.
01:16Then, of course, you see Jackson Merrill,
01:18who hasn't been great against right-handed pitching over the past month.
01:20Gavin Sheets and Jake Cronenworth, probably the two guys I'd look for
01:24in that Padres lineup, but I don't love the game overall here.
01:28What a series it was, by the way, between San Diego and San Francisco
01:33this week in Northern California.
01:35A four-game set, DRS, where all four games were decided by a single run.
01:41The Padres won the first two in the 10th inning in each.
01:45They dropped the final two against the Giants, losing 6-5 on Wednesday,
01:493-2 in the finale yesterday to split.
01:53The Brewers were four-game sub-500 on May 17th.
01:58They've gone 13-4 assists.
