00:00I'm near Athens where a new prize draw is getting ready to launch offering what
00:07organizers describe as a chance to live like a billionaire the top prize a
00:12week-long super yacht experience for the winner and five guests all expenses
00:16covered including flights and the organizers have pledged a donation from
00:20each monthly draw to UK charity Naomi house children's hospice something that
00:24could benefit families back home it's part of a growing trend lifestyle based
00:28competitions that are attracting attention and raising questions about
00:32how they're marketed and regulated in the UK this is the yacht at the center of
00:37it all the winner gets to bring along five guests for a week of what's
00:40described as the ultimate in luxury high-end cabins meals from personal
00:45chefs sun decks jacuzzis and even day trips to some of the most beautiful
00:49islands in Greece for the summer and Caribbean in winter I spoke to Hayley
00:53sparks known for her work on ITVs this morning she's now lending her expertise
00:57to this project as its main representative Hayley thank you very
01:01much for joining me and what a location I mean look at that you've spent a few
01:05days on the yacht here what's that experience been like so far it has been a
01:09once-in-a-lifetime experience something that I never imagined I would have the
01:13opportunity to do and I will remember it for the rest of my life as I hope you will
01:18this competition is launching in the UK can you tell us more about it and how
01:22people can get involved so it is a paid prize draw which is happening every month
01:27and the main prize is to win a week-long experience all the crew all the
01:33shebang the flights everything on a super yacht not just for yourself but you
01:37get to bring five friends with you ten pounds a month to enter and there's
01:42also a subscription as well and there will be other monthly prizes that will be
01:46announcing later on so these type of draws usually focus on property or cash
01:51this time it's a super yacht so why I think this is a really aspirational prize
01:57for people something that unfortunately is out of reach for most of us isn't it
02:02so it's very unique it's unforgettable it's all about being able to make
02:07memories not only for yourself but with the guests that you bring that we hope
02:10will literally last a lifetime to people so the winners of this prize get to
02:14experience the holiday of a lifetime but it's not just them who benefit from the
02:18prize draw can you tell us about the charitable donation that goes towards
02:22families from the winners home of course it's very much about giving back as well
02:26so you're winning an incredible prize but you're also doing something that's going
02:30to benefit your local community so a percentage of the sales is going to go to
02:35Naomi's house hospice and not only that for example if the winners came from
02:40Leeds then the donation would be made into their local area so it's giving
02:44back and supporting the hospice in their local community and I think that's
02:48really special critics argue that these type of prize draws can blur the line
02:52between fundraising marketing and gambling what's your response to that I think
02:57it's really important to talk about these things and be completely transparent and
03:00open this is a paid for prize draw that as I mentioned previously a percentage will
03:06go back to charity and everything is regulated by UK guidelines and as a travel
03:11broadcaster you get to do these sort of things all the time but why this project I truly believe
03:16that everybody deserves to have a holiday everybody deserves to make memories and this
03:21is opening up the opportunities but also I love the fact that with the charity element
03:26local communities and hospices will benefit as well so for people seeing this draw for
03:31the first time what should they know before going into it and entering but I would encourage
03:35everyone to fully read what's involved but if it excites you then I'd say go for it because this could
03:42bring so much fun and adventure to your life this draw is one of several new competitions preparing to
03:50enter the UK market offering not just luxury prizes but a shift in how experiences are being packaged and
