00:25awards at the 10th edition of the Star Golden Hearts Award on Tuesday.
00:29Star Media Group, Group Chief Executive Officer Chan Seng Fat said selfless actions of the
00:34winners have kept the group motivated in continuing its mission.

01:34The Chief Judge of the award, Tan Sri Lee Lam Tai, said the award reflects the collective
01:38efforts of Malaysians from all walks of life.
01:41The awards programme has remained resolute in its mission to recognise everyday Malaysians
01:49who go above and beyond in their contributions to society, often without seeking acknowledgement
01:58for their efforts.
02:00However, the Star of Golden Hearts award is more than just an award.
02:05It is a trophy or a title.
02:08It serves a deeper purpose, to inspire others to take up the initiatives in doing good work
02:16for society, the nation, the environment and at the same time to promote unity among Malaysians.
02:24The ten winners are Rimau, Reef Check Malaysia, Silatul Rahim Dahman, WWF Malaysia, Orang
02:32Asli Anti-Poaching Team, Food Aid Foundation, Professor Dr Thong Miao Keong, APE Malaysia,
02:39WWF, Malaysia's Sarawak Wildlife Conservation Team, Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia
02:45and Search and Rescue Dogs Malaysia.
02:48We are truly honoured and humbled to receive this award and I'm accepting this award not
02:55because of me as a founder, there are many people involved to make this work that today
03:01we are going to demonstrate in all parts of Malaysia so that we can reach out to more people.
03:08It's a wonderful recognition to be recognised today for the efforts that we do to save the
03:14Malayan tiger.
03:16To be selected among more than 500 people is truly a wonderful recognition, not only
03:24to our team here in KL, but more importantly to the 110 patrollers that are working day
03:31and night.
03:32I'm very happy and also my team, this is so meaningful to us because we never thought
03:40that we are going to win this award.
03:45I feel very honoured indeed to be selected as one of the winners and I look forward to
03:52serve this special community for many, many more years to come, not only in Malaysia but
04:00beyond Malaysia.
04:01We never could have thought that we would be so recognised, so that recognition is very
04:09important to us because through this we hope that more people come to know about us, more
04:19people may be interested to participate.
04:26The award ceremony was enlivened by a special musical performance by the Ideas Autism Centre,
04:31which was a star social impact grantee.
04:34Muhammad Darwisi Ukaisha Muhammad Azam Shah, a 12-year-old student from the centre, recited
04:39a poem entitled, Terima Kasih Perwirakami, to thank the winners for making a difference
04:44in society.
