Transcript
00:00for five minutes. Thank you, Madam Chair. I also want to recognize that we have the Chairman of
00:04Doge Texas, Giovanni Capriglione, is with us today. Ms. Yentl, you're currently the, I want to get
00:10this right, the CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits. Am I right? Yes, that's right. And
00:16you were former president of the National Low Income Housing Coalition? Correct. Okay. In your
00:23current job as the CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits, are you familiar with the non-profit
00:28that has been mentioned here up on the dais, the Power Forward Communities? I am. You have, okay. Yeah.
00:33And that five organizations led the Power Forward, and one of them was, were you familiar with
00:40Rewiring America? Yes. And do you know that Stacey Abrams was their counsel, lead counsel? I believe
00:47she was an advisor. She was. Well, I have it right here. It says that she was, this is from their
00:52press release. She was their senior counsel. Okay. Okay. Stacey Abrams ran for governor of Georgia.
00:59What party? Do you know? Are you aware? Yes, she's a Democrat. Okay. And in 2022, she was also the
01:06Democratic candidate for governor of Georgia? I think that's, I'm sure it's true if you're saying.
01:10And she worked with, as we just mentioned, Rewiring America in 2023. Power Forward had a
01:17balance of, do you know what the balance was in 2023? We mentioned up here earlier, it was $100.
01:23And then, and of course, we know in 2020, are you also aware of Stacey Abrams' campaign for Joe
01:28Biden for president? If you say so. Yeah. And she's a Democrat. So, Ms. Yendel, you're-
01:35Would a gentleman yield? No, I don't have enough time. I would. If you would, give me an-
01:39Thank you, my friend. Okay. Okay. Ms. Yendel, CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits.
01:44Yes. How much did Joe Biden, his administration give, who's Stacey Abrams' campaign for Joe Biden,
01:51how much did they give to Power Forward? So, I'm so glad to have a chance to address the-
01:58Do you know how much it was? Egregious mischaracterization. Okay. Was it $2
02:02billion? I don't know the number. Okay. It was $2 billion. Okay. That's quite a bump from a C-note
02:06to $2 billion. How did the Biden administration justify this gift? Do you know?
02:10So, what happened? Thank you. So, many of these organizations-
02:15Well, ma'am, do you know how? I don't have the time.
02:16I don't have the time. Okay. You don't know?
02:18No, I would love to answer the question.
02:19Was it for green? No. Well, I'm trying to help you because I don't have enough time.
02:24Green Energy Grants?
02:25May I answer the question, sir?
02:27You got 10 seconds. Could you answer the question? Do you know what it was for?
02:30These were coalitions of longstanding organizations.
02:33Okay. So, you're not going to answer the question. It was for Green Energy Grants. Once Stacey Abrams
02:37got that money, it just so happens that two other nonprofits that she founded, Fair Count,
02:45have you ever heard of that one?
02:47So, I'm here to support the work of nonprofit organizations and to oppose efforts to target
02:53organizations with views separate from the administration.
02:57Please freeze the time. You're here to testify and answer questions, and you will not answer
03:03the questions. You don't know what Fair Count is. I asked the question. Do you know or not?
03:07No.
03:07Have you ever heard of it? You've never heard of it. Okay. It's a voter mobilization group
03:10for black voters. That does nothing whatsoever to do with green energy. And you know, it just
03:16so happens, it's a mystery of the universe. It's a coincidence that the president of that organization
03:21is a gal named, let's see where her name is. Her name is Janine McClain. Her middle name
03:33is Abrams because that's her maiden name. She's Stacey Abrams' sister. It's a miracle. You want
03:39to talk about incestuous. I mean, the Tide Center also was running an organization called Southern
03:51Economic Advancement Project. They got money as well, and they fund a lot of Hamas protest
03:57groups across the country. So this is incestuous, Madam Chair. It's backdealing money laundering
04:02from nonprofits. Everyone up on this dais supports true charitable nonprofits, not political
04:07nonprofits, or basically government organizations, because it's funneling money into the pockets
04:13of democratic activists. Nothing more. Case in point, Ms. Yentl, what is your total annual
04:18compensation? I don't see how that's relevant. But if you're interested, it's public information,
04:23which is evidence of the accountability and transparency that nonprofits adhere to.
04:28Yes. Your predecessor made $583,000. I suspect you get something similar.
04:34I do not. You don't. That is not my salary.
04:37You can Google it. It's public information.
04:39Because as you said, it's publicly traded or publicly available information. Yes.
04:43When you were the president of the, ironically, national low-income housing coalition, what was
04:48your annual compensation? That's not quite right, but would you like to speak to executive salaries
04:56and nonprofits? It was $399,000. Was it not? Not right. No.
05:00It was not. That's what it says. You're under oath. I see that it says that. That was not my salary.
05:05Thank you. Okay. So, all right. Well, we'll check that out. Madam Chair, I yield back.
05:10I now recognize Mr. Garcia from California. Thank you, Madam Chair. We're obviously here for another
05:16hearing. We're
