00:00Oh
00:30wow this is picturesque india really has it all though it really does yeah you ready selfie
00:39is that better no i missed you which is good
00:44gear national park the only place outside of africa where lions still roam in the wild
00:52these big cats were hunted close to extinction before 1900 when the navab of junaga turned
01:01his hunting ground into india's first wildlife sanctuary
01:08and today it's home to a thriving population of lions once more oh look down there it's beautiful
01:16it's just an oasis of calm and it makes the stress of the race so worth it being on a safari
01:26it's amazing not thinking about the race just yeah having this experience together
01:31it's lovely just to drive around it's lovely isn't it really it is being the
01:35tree to feel the wind in your hair how fast can lions run 60 60 kilometers and how fast can this go
01:46oh my gosh oh there's a there's a lion in a cup that is so magical that is so gorgeous
02:00that's incredible i didn't think we were going to see this at all lying down on a snooze in the middle
02:07of the road wow
02:09oh my god that was superb it was wasn't it mate it was great that that that is genuinely a serious
02:20that once in a lifetime i think excited it just surprised me yet again
02:25good morning sir 5 25 am this is for you thank you thank you so much sir as brian and melvin were
02:46first to reach the checkpoint they're now first to leave all right we'll go and have a look
02:52in the penultimate leg just six and a half hours separate the brothers and last place
03:00the closest the race has been so far
03:04see where we're going hey ready
03:07your seventh checkpoint is panadji panadji panadji never heard it
03:19it's here bloody hell mate well spotted oh it's on the coast that could be sea sand and beer
03:27almost 1500 kilometers south of sasangir
03:30panadji the capital of goa india's smallest state until 1961 it was under the yoke of portuguese
03:43colonial rule now its palm fringed beaches are visited by both nesting turtles and millions of
03:50tourists each year the decision we've got to make is do we go back on ourselves using the same route
04:00or do we cut across the bay their first decision how to get off the kartyavar peninsula
04:09they could opt for a ferry but with only two crossings a day timing the connection is key
04:14or retrace their steps north on land before heading south to goa the ferry brings you all
04:24the way south to south it's going to save you 12 hours today it's a day once off the peninsula a choice
04:32skirt the concan coastline via the mega city of mumbai
04:35a more direct but popular route where demand for tickets is high
04:43or veer inland through the deccan traps one of the largest igneous areas of the world
04:50here they may avoid the crowds but could add mileage to their journey
04:55the mumbai is one of the busiest cities in in india beat beat blah blah smog smog you don't want to
05:02get a mumbai i'm not that bothered about it i would sooner go in the countryside yeah i'm well up
05:08for that right okay we've got a very early start which gives us a chance to get to the ferry port
05:15we need to get there as quickly as possible okay if we're going to win this race we've got to take a
05:22chance we could stretch a lead by taking the chance now thanks very much my thank you if we can get to
05:29that ferry port knowing that let's say there was only one ferry and another couple turns up as the
05:34ferry's pulling away they'd be cruel wouldn't they we're away okay let's go leaving the checkpoint two
05:45hours behind the leaders wow we're going down wow okay caroline and tom right what i really want to
05:53do is go the most direct route to checkpoint straight down i think mumbai might be a really
06:00good option um possibly a time to try a train yeah i think we have to brave it it would be good for
06:07connections i know we're a bit threatened by bigger cities but this is leg seven it started off as a
06:13marathon in china and we're basically now on the sprint so i think this is really important that we
06:20face our fears so rather than being worried by mumbai and avoiding it we're actually going to try and
06:25use it as the best connection for our race i'm feeling weirdly excited about this leg i've no idea what
06:33mumbai has in store for us but i'm keeping my mind open right what are we doing to try hitch
06:43hi could you take us into the bus station please
06:45we've already relinquished our first place and that doesn't feel good
06:51we really want to battle to get that back so we will have to really dig deep
06:58this is a good start great start
07:00where do we buy tickets from tickets thank you thank you already at the ferry port current race
07:15leaders brian and melvin well at least we made it well i'll let you know when i've got a chicken in
07:20meander on it yeah we don't know how much it is so whatever it is this is the gamble we're taking
07:31hello hello can we please have two tickets to get over the water just a rat two class available
07:38eight five zero business class one ticket price second class slipper class nine double zero okay we'll
07:44take business then is that what's business yeah it's 850 business is what's the cheapest 850
07:56850 so 850 is the cheapest well figured out melvin when we were younger used to beat me up that's
08:02the fact i honestly do not remember you did you used to get me in headlocks well it's always worth
08:10tripling what about the second class the range of cities just said two classes available business
08:15or sleeping you're not listening you reckon i need me a syringe but nowadays we have had different
08:23opinions occasionally um we both support the same football team yeah but uh i don't think we're the
08:28bickering type i think we might have achieved our aim today i think we're in front on the first night
08:34how long would it take you do you think to get on the bus to go from where we were
08:40to surat by road how long or rail at least two days two days so in theory we could have sneaked a day
08:49it is possible other teams can make it here and capture this ferry well nobody else here it's early
08:56days melv i know it is so let's not count our chickens i don't think many will actually not do what
09:03we're doing i'm not so keen on the ferry yeah next to depart hello can we go to bus stop let's go
09:14bus stop yeah elizabeth and leticia let's do this we're only a couple of hours behind like anything
09:22could happen yeah i think the more i'm getting closer to the finale the more competitive i'm getting
09:28chela chela chela go go go go thank you thank you thank you thank you maybe we can get a train
09:35train to mumbai to go straight down yeah sticking to roads and rail the sisters plan to head north
09:44off the peninsula before picking up speed along the coast i feel like there's more pressure when
09:50everyone's so close like there's no room for mistakes there's no room for taking the wrong
09:55transportation there's no room for error right i want to do what we did last leg but faster ready
10:03to start chasing down their competitors let's go finn and seanette brian and melvin are first but only
10:10six hours ahead of us considering we just caught up about 26 hours that's easily doable it's all to play
10:17for and it shows that it's possible with what we've just done so for the next leg and the last leg
10:22first first all along the coast to mumbai i think is probably the fastest option hoping to replicate
10:33their successful strategy of back-to-back transport the couple plan to make for vedodara before the day is
10:40out go try hitchhike okay three three no no we know we need to be communicating with locals more
10:53i feel like i'm growing in confidence for the next two legs we need to ask a lot more questions to get a
10:59lot of people's help without asking questions we definitely wouldn't have got as far please stop
11:05please stop yay oh my god to the bus station oh wow yay thank you very much thank you
11:14that worked well though that was unbelievable we should be proud of ourselves for that
11:22hello we're trying to get to the bawnaga yeah bus bus two tickets perfect thank you sir
11:32bus hopping their way along the coast towards bhavnagar caroline and tom have made it to diu
11:3998 kilometers southeast of sassangir
11:44linked to gujarat's southern coast by a bridge it's home to a 16th century fort standing watch over the
11:51arabian sea i like things like this obviously restoring this yeah it's lovely though thomas
12:00should we pop a squat yeah yeah pop a squat the further we get the closer we're getting towards
12:07the finish line now i think we should try and just work on helping each other as much as we can
12:12because it's only going to get more stressful it was easier to start with because i felt i had a more
12:18maternal role so i was helping you and now i don't know if i'm frightened making the wrong decision
12:22last leg that was one point where i was kind of left to make a big decision and then you didn't
12:27help me as much as i would have liked you're a very confident person but but when it comes to making
12:33a decision i feel like you're kind of holding yourself back a little bit but thomas you must be
12:38aware at home i'm not used to making decisions the last 20 years i haven't had to make them i think you're
12:44worried that when you go home it was going to slip back into normal life yeah i have been perhaps
12:51getting a little bit stuck in a rut i'd like that to change i want you to back yourself a bit more
12:58you're still my amazing mum
13:03i'd really love to know that i am capable of doing whatever i choose to do in the future
13:08we're going to goa beach because i was quite capable before and i'd like to feel i am capable again
13:15just feels really tropical already it does wow oh my golly look at this
13:21it's incredible isn't it and we were in jungle only two hours away
13:24oh my god it's beautiful it is lovely you inevitably sacrifice so much to be a parent
13:32you willingly do it but it often takes a toll on you and i think that contributes to making you a
13:37little bit old and possibly in my case boring thomas oh no way yes way look look he's going up
13:48i don't know how many summers i've got left it would be shame not to live life to the full wow
13:54that looks so fun do you do you think you'd ever do that god yes definitely would you yes
14:00maybe i don't have to do what others think might be expected of me
14:07tell us we've got to be at the bus station
14:14well let us off first which is good yeah i'm gonna feel like any minute i'm gonna get run over
14:18my motorbike after catching the last ferry of the day brian and melvin are the only team to have
14:26made it off the peninsula my gut feeling is that we're still ahead at the moment we didn't see
14:33anybody else on the ferry and we've got to capitalize on that job done yes
14:38four hundred and seventy kilometers north
14:47finn and sean ed are trading sleep for speed on an overnight bus to vedodara
14:53we're loud but we can't complain oh right now it was about 2.50 each for the tickets yeah
15:01there's so much going on whoa it feels like i'm in a horror girl i'm so tired
15:18i don't think it's worth going to the ferry plotting their route and we already have a solution
15:23staring us in the face barring disaster we get there tomorrow morning we're exactly where we want to be
15:28let's do it caroline and tom have found a 15-hour bus ah we're going to be in mumbai tonight
15:34that is bloody good i think that will take them all the way to mumbai
15:40at last we're on the go on the move on the way to mumbai
15:46let's go to the bus station last to secure transport off the peninsula
15:51did you say straight maybe we can ask along the way yeah
15:54elizabeth and leticia are determined to reach palgar a town 87 kilometers north of mumbai
16:05hello is there direct please to palgar direct okay surat and then palgar
16:13how long time 10 hours 10 hours 10 hours
16:21well we know there's a bus to surat in 15 minutes but that would require us changing again
16:29yeah so it's not really ideal
16:33should we just go to a train station okay maybe that's a direct train yeah yeah i have a good
16:39feeling leticia with the gut instincts yeah i feel like that chat the last leg definitely um
16:46benefited us and yeah i feel like we are more comfortable around each other we are communicating
16:51we are um yeah cooperating yeah it's working out for us yeah ready let's go searching for a better
17:00option leticia's hunch take a gamble on the trains hello we want to go to howard gar
17:12that's good okay yes we want to get that ticket i definitely think that literature has changed
17:19from the younger sister that i remember when we were growing up well this is smooth i feel like
17:28you've definitely got a knack for it she is more determined than i thought and maybe even more
17:34determined than she thought as well now she can't even go back on herself she can't say that she can't
17:39do things because it's very very clear that she can do a lot i was so confident in that so it's a good
17:46decision okay that's good your confidence gave me conscience
17:53i think it worked really well yeah if it's first leg we would have jumped on that bus i felt yeah
17:58i think i still would have jumped on the bus if it wasn't for you so yeah yeah feeling happy we have
18:07booked on would travel so we're on the move
18:17plan of attack is to get to nashik the wine capital of india i'll leave the wine to brian
18:23i think on this i'm quite happy with that you've got your paracetam
18:27keen to swerve mumbai brian and melvin are the only team heading inland
18:31to a region known for its 175 000 acres of vineyards
18:38maybe england is popular for their football yeah uh we support derby county in india
18:44people only know manchester city and manchester united yeah that's the trouble you see they need to
18:48learn about a proper football club hey so you guys are visiting india yeah so we're going down to
18:55there panji goa panji goa oh on the way you're going to um valoon vineyard yeah
19:04when you reach nashik uh there are local buses
19:12we've got the whole bus involved everybody's helping these guys are going near igatpuri place
19:18they will help you thank you there's a plan the plan is formulating right brilliant that's very
19:24helpful without people like you we we get lost you're brilliant thank you so you've been very
19:30helpful thank you thank you i'll see you soon happy journey for you thank you thank you
19:37we're getting close i can smell the wine quite a way actually isn't it yeah
19:42it was a five-hour bus trip it's eight hours all together
19:48long day it is what it is bro we'll get there today but it's not that bad really is it could be snowing
19:54340 kilometers to the north the gujarati city of adhodara
20:14this means across india on myriad street corners chai valas serve up steaming cups of sweet
20:23spice tea from the roadside stalls vishnu has been serving his local community for over 30 years
20:32wow that's a lot of sugar hello chai and for finn and sean ed with the lowest remaining
20:39budget of any team it's an opportunity to earn some rupees
20:43that's good there we go okay one iced tea three chai okay
20:54how long are you guys in india about four weeks all together is this yours yes yes there you go thank
21:00you um so yeah now we're working our way to mumbai now nice yeah after mumbai uh after mumbai we're
21:05going to pan gym down south shirad's got on i think better than me she's got stuck in thank you
21:12thank you i already see that she is gaining confidence one i see three chai 18 rupees
21:19well it was hard for the start and i do think slowly she's overcome a lot of challenges
21:23good poor natural
21:26well there we go thank you there we go to try i've been chatting away to some customers and yeah
21:37it's been nice okay this race is off the scale something to be proud of
21:48it's nice to say i am proud of something because normally it's just i'm proud to be welsh
21:54finished
21:59hello hello how's your experience in india yeah it's really good so far we're going to goa that's a
22:05good thing is it nice i haven't been there you haven't it's a dream for all india really oh wow
22:12do you know if this train's from mumbai to goa yeah it's a there's a direct train direct
22:18it's always for you but you have to be booked like a couple of months ahead
22:22wow one of the reasons i cancelled my plans for goa was that i didn't got any reservation oh okay
22:32that's made me nervous now months months in advance
22:35bye bishnu i've got a bit of nerves about getting out of mumbai because of what the woman at
22:48the chai shop said i mean on this stage in the race it's really hard to make decision because you
22:54really cannot go wrong only 50 rubies 50 rubies perfect any holdups can cost us a lot
23:05while finn and sean ed consider their options
23:10so we go up with the ladder just 60 kilometers to the north
23:14oh it actually wasn't nice being at the top here you could see everything
23:19elizabeth and leticia are trying something new
23:24it's our first sleeper train on this race today where it's gone really really well actually
23:32i'm really learning from the dishes i think the dishes got
23:35it's magic instincts your feet hanging out a little bit oh i don't think i like that like
23:44just people walking past and they get a lovely stench
23:50it sounds actually more comfortable with some of the beds
23:52well i don't know what we let ourselves in for now neither do i no you don't after more than 10
24:01hours on the road it does seem a bit way out doesn't it completely off the beaten track i'm thinking
24:08how are we going to get away from here tomorrow brian and melvin have finally arrived at their
24:13destination hiya hi the valenay vineyards in egart puri on the outskirts of nashik
24:20we've made good progress today but it's been a very long day very tiring day this is your
24:28home sir please all right ah we've got a room with two beds no we don't have any i can uh give you
24:36some mattress uh the site and yeah can we have another mattress yeah no problem i'll do that we've
24:43paid four and a half thousand rupees for the room here it's the most expensive room that we've had
24:49in the whole of india do you get many people stay here the one single rooms in there we are taking
24:56only for the marriage well i'm gonna put the kettle on i'm gonna have a cup of tea
25:03all right let's roll the first team to set foot in mumbai are you ready let's go caroline and tom
25:20are looking for a way out have you seen anything like it this is really quite something
25:33once an archipelago mumbai was initially composed of seven islands that were joined together under the
25:40watch of the east india company in the 19th century today home to 21 million people it's known as the
25:49city of dreams is it possible to book tickets here please i want to go to panji as close as possible
25:59one way two people please not this it not here you can't do it here oh no sorry okay he's just told me to
26:11wait hello so do you speak english yeah i don't oh thank you hello so do you speak english trying to go
26:22to panji okay i don't think you get the ticket over here from this is only for local trains you can go to
26:27churchgate from churchgate you book a ticket lovely okay thank you so much you're welcome thank you
26:32mom i found the answer you can only go within the state at this station because this is a local train
26:40station okay but the train is not very fun but we are going to conquer it
26:45right platform five yeah oh it's quite a busy train station oh my god
26:56the pair must master a train network that carries over seven and a half million commuters every day
27:048 24. i'm glad you're feeling it churchgate
27:09oh for god's sake let's move down move down where i don't like this oh my god little man
27:20so i can't scramble with this lot i haven't got a home oh well okay let's go yes yes
27:29whoa come on thomas okay okay go go go go there you go first train
27:36whoo we're on the move this experience is just making me feel so alive
27:43i think that was the best overnight bus i've been on thank you
28:05oh 150 kilometers southeast after changing tag to avoid mumbai finn and shonid have arrived in the city of pune
28:19i feel like it was a good decision to make changing from mumbai to pune
28:23especially after what we heard from other people back in vatadara so i think i feel better about this
28:30decision yeah i'm just hoping that this this route is definitely benefiting our race and is a little
28:34bit quicker than mumbai would have been eager to keep moving hello hello do you go to pun jim
28:42they're searching for a direct bus to the checkpoint
28:44oh right that's not good is there anything earlier before nothing before seven seven
28:56okay okay okay thank you must be something do you go to goa panjim only night tomorrow
29:08everyone ah do trains go in the day no trains full full maybe we should have gone to mumbai then
29:19the earliest we could get directly to panjim from here is tomorrow night so
29:26we're gonna have to find another option we're here we could go to colapur which is like
29:34midway if we get in there we can take a taxi from there
29:43is that a ticket place i think so i think i've adapted and i'm actually getting used to how
29:50things work around here and how busy places are this one around there thank you i mean it's not
29:59going to change for me so it's either get used to it or go home so it's heads down and do the best we
30:05can yeah what time is to call i put tomorrow 12 30. oh yay that's what time does it get to
30:12kolaipur five o'clock can we book two tickets thank you
30:28it's great loads of great loads of grapes isn't it yeah in return for discounted accommodation
30:45and a chance to sample the produce so that needs to be up there like that brian and melvin are training
30:52vines whoa that's good we will train our wines so when sun goes from east to west the bunches are
31:02constantly exposed to the sunlight right at an altitude of 2 000 feet india's wine capital nashek
31:10is framed by the 150 million year old western ghats a mountain range older than the himalayas
31:18so we generally give our vineyard boys the target right so for you four rows four rows that's fine
31:29four rows okay i'm certainly a gold gold given man i will smash my target
31:36and normally i'd say i would go on to surpass it but maybe not on this one occasion
31:42brian doesn't like to come second he beat me at rummy cup and he's in your face with it you know
31:52and i like that about him do you know we've done about six now don't you melvin i've done eight on me
31:58own his determination and will to succeed i think he's made him extremely successful
32:05oh that's it well they're tucking don't you know the bride comes along like a bully in a china shop
32:13and knocks it out again i'm sorry right melvin's a grafter he's ambitious he's driven he has had a
32:23lot of jobs but he's done very well at them he's been keen he's got promotions and he's moved on
32:29yeah i'm proud of him um and maybe i should tell him i think we're doing our over quota well you're
32:38just enjoying it mel the best way to learn more about wines is to taste them and you mean taste not
32:47drink moderation is is good yeah yeah drinking in moderation is good thank you cheers mate well done
32:59cheers oh that is marvelous look at the view it's nice isn't it
33:10you've got a leg and a half to go and i know we're always conscious of the next leg and and
33:17it's nice to not think about it for an hour isn't it yes because yeah when we come to places like
33:22this and we think well we're going to do a little bit of work and then you think well
33:25we can actually chill for a few hours it's nice this race has has pulled something out of us i
33:34think i think i think it's it has brought us together i think the last few weeks we've found
33:40it'll be more similar than we think yeah similar traits we are sharing things more now we're not just
33:45brian on his own or melvin on his own it's it's brian and melvin yeah and and and as long as we
33:51remember that that we're all there for each other yeah which which which which we will we might piss
33:57each other off from time to time but the fact is we're brothers yeah i think it's a brilliant change
34:04in our relationship before the race i can't imagine brian and i do it talking the way we've we've spoken
34:11over the last six seven weeks our relationship will only get better now once this race is finished
34:17we'll speak to each other more doing something together whether it's if we hired a villa somewhere
34:23or other i'll bring all the kids over and then you come over um for a few days or whatever you want
34:29it'd be brilliant i'm not a bigger lovey-dovey bloke but yeah yeah i love him really i wouldn't tell him
34:37bring that to his face i don't mind that i've got to be honest jesus god i don't think i'd ever say
34:45to brian i love him even though i'm sure he knows i do i i am absolutely delighted to have done this
34:55adventure uh with you i couldn't think of anybody else i'd rather do it with no we've done we've done
35:04okay mel yeah we need to we need to shift mate because we're we're back in the races from now
35:13so let's go i should bugger off oh dear okay you know knack it
35:23passenger reservation office first floor still in mumbai with the correct station located
35:30hello we'd like to get two tickets to panji caroline and tom now face the trickier task
35:37of getting hold of tickets oh there's a train by 50 in the morning from csd it reaches maghav by three
35:44o'clock oh that's pretty good two of us please let's check but tickets are not available for tomorrow
35:52morning you can you can get your tickets in wedding list okay okay wait so now you have to put your
36:00tickets and then tomorrow morning go to the station one hour before the train depart you have to check
36:06whether they have got a confirmed or not and then according you have to travel the ticket isn't
36:11guaranteed yeah it's not that it's it's a bit risky yeah but if we wait it'll be another day
36:18i think we have to do that okay let's book the tickets obviously being on the waiting list is a
36:26worry we asked about trains later on in the day and they are fully booked i'm really hoping it just
36:33goes our way and we turn up tomorrow and they say yes you've got seats that would be amazing
36:37so we just had to take the gamble and we'll have to wait and see
36:40taking the risk on the 5 50 a.m train tomorrow towards panaji let's go come on let's go leave
36:49the pair free to indulge in some sightseeing mum look at that building i know it's beautiful it looks
36:56like it's got trees going inside of us and one of the city's most eclectic neighborhoods bandra
37:04where modern high rises sits side by side with crumbling indo-portuguese bungalows
37:09everything's so individual and different and colorful and graffitied streets are lined with catholic
37:17shrines and grottos what are these oh yeah it's called pani is like the street food these are like
37:25what walls with uh spicy and great water are they nice really nice you should eat some yeah
37:32try some yeah is it really spicy it's a bit spicy oh my god now on the race i think i've seen mum
37:49more carefree she's really confident excuse me could i taste the sugar cane please
38:04oh my god is that nice it is like a milkshake is it
38:07oh that is so yum it's not quite a coffee it's lovely isn't it i have to admit i really like
38:19numbai oh thank you very much oh at last
38:24it's just been the best day this race has given me newfound confidence that there are things i can do
38:46i would like to make some changes when i get home i've always felt a great sense of guilt if i
38:52wanted to do something for myself or perhaps not that the family first which most parents do under
38:58completely understandably but now i feel if i want to do something i can find something that
39:03i absolutely love and follow it through
39:08right should we get going i think we should get to bed because we've got an early start tomorrow
39:13tomorrow is going to be a a stressful day it's just the worry of not knowing
39:19for certain that we're going to get on that train and that we're going to make it to checkpoint
39:23tomorrow 12 hours from now the train leaves actually right
39:31while caroline and tom wait to learn whether they've secured tickets
39:34brian and melvin are competing with local traffic
39:47not almost three or four buffalo it's a bloody herd on it's honestly milking time in it the bloody daring
39:56whilst 100 kilometers west elizabeth and letitia have made it to the outskirts of palgar
40:02to work at a retreat run by the chavra family so lovely to have you they will prepare the evening meal
40:14for guests under the guidance of daughter ayana
40:18okay thank you that's so cute like cooking outdoors yeah it's really fun yeah in return discounted
40:32accommodation and a massage i love the architecture here like it's all open but you know you have some
40:40shelter it feels like you're in the jungle yeah that's what we wanted yeah very relaxing yeah it's
40:48it's mostly for people to come from the city and relax because like it's very chaotic there yeah
40:53and do you normally cook yeah i love cooking i started cooking when i was four years old wow
41:01yeah how old are you i'm 15 15 15 you're so good
41:08so you've grown up here yeah it's nice it's peaceful quiet no i love the idea of retreat yeah i've been to a
41:17a few retreats yeah and i would like to have my own retreat as well yeah i like that
41:26i've traveled a lot i've lived abroad and i've come back to my hometown and i've just been a bit
41:33stagnant really i've been a bit you know deciding what i'm gonna do with my life etc etc etc
41:39i started getting into going to retreats and it's definitely helped with understanding myself a
41:47little bit more being more confident in what i want to do and actually i would like to provide
41:53it for other people because i know how beneficial it's been for me i'm just excited for what the future
41:59i'll hold sit down yeah oh okay okay you're comfortable yes
42:13okay sorry sorry i'm relaxing
42:31i'm very comfortable thank you
42:35i guess seeing my sister envision her dream about starting a retreat it does make me think oh what
42:40should i do you know which i feel like i'm still trying to figure out for myself
42:48before the race i think i definitely had a cycle of starting things not finishing things and just
42:55being upset about that like university i mean i lasted until you know over last year and then i was like
43:03actually no i don't want to do it i couldn't stay in a job really so long i just had the fear of
43:12failure scared of just putting myself out there such a weird sensation i don't know what to do with
43:19myself i'll embrace it i'll embrace it
43:23being in a race there's so many things you can fail at small things like communicating with people
43:32getting rejected that's like a sense of failing and that was happening on the daily
43:38you just have to become comfortable with failure
43:41it's toughened me up i would like to have that feeling um just completing something that i've worked
43:54hard on and um i've tried my best on oh this is lovely
44:01it's so well being you can just yeah feel isn't it yeah i definitely wish we were here for longer
44:18right let's go 200 kilometers southeast on the outskirts of pune
44:24this place is absolutely beautiful this looks really nice finn and sean ed are embracing the
44:31great outdoors oh wow look at that everyone's chilling having a good time it's cute good vibes
44:39at pauna lake a popular campsite destination for locals seeking a weekend getaway from the cities of
44:47pune and mumbai i love being here with you yeah i mean we're together a lot of home anyway but
44:53we've not had a breather from each other no and somehow still kicking yeah i know do you think
44:59after in the finish line do you think you could carry on i don't think i'd want to go on for
45:03longer i think i'd want to go home for a little bit see everyone but then i do think i'll have that
45:10itch again to go traveling so i honestly think give me three days at the finish line i'll go again
45:17it just makes it just inspires me to i want to do more things
45:19i do just want to see more of the world yeah do a lot of fun things first
45:27then all the serious stuff we are still young
45:32before coming on the race all i was thinking was the house the family marriage all of that stuff
45:39the race has made me realize there's so much more that i'm able to do that i'm able to see
45:48i'm only 19 i've got the rest of my life to settle down
45:52oh my this is the kind of vibe going on here
46:02do you know the words
46:05between us you have come to show you go on
46:18the words you have come to show you go on here
46:20oh
46:23oh
46:25oh
46:27oh
46:31oh
46:33oh
46:35oh
46:37oh
46:39oh
46:41oh
46:43That wasn't meant to happen. Oh, shit. Surely.
46:45I don't think that was meant to happen.
46:49Good night, Sean. I love you. Good night. I love you.
46:54Oh, it's quite cosy in here.
46:56I need to pee.
47:05Mumbai, 5am.
47:07Good morning. Check out, please. Thank you.
47:09Thank you very much. Thank you.
47:12Yeah, I'm feeling really quite nervous
47:15just because there's still a chance
47:17that we're not going to make the train,
47:19and then we're back to square one, so...
47:22All I need to do is find out
47:24that we've come off the reservation list
47:26and we have reserved tickets,
47:28which is what we're going to find out
47:30in the next five minutes, I think.
47:31So it's...
47:33It affects our whole day.
47:36Why do we do this to ourselves?
47:38This is awful.
47:42With all other trains sold out,
47:44it's their only chance to escape Mumbai today.
47:47Passenger assistance.

56:14we've fallen behind again yeah yeah yeah yeah no we should be very happy with that at least we're not
56:2030 when i was behind again i know and we're not fourth anymore exactly okay after nearly 13 000
56:26kilometers only eight hours separates the top three teams going into the final leg
56:32for brian and melvin a 17-hour gap to close
56:40we didn't expect to be four i've got to be honest the only people that we can blame is us
56:45yeah um so we've we've we've we've cocked it up mumbai would have had an infrastructure of
56:51transport links and what we did is that we avoided that so we've avoided all of those fast
56:57transport routes it's all in last leg isn't it yeah we've moved from fourth to first before
57:04and we'll do it again it is what it is we're not despondent we'll get out there for the eighth
57:09leg and we'll hammer it well we'll give it the best shot it all comes down to now it does we've
57:16seen the world and now we're racing oh that's all right isn't it one mishap could jeopardize
57:25our position why can't we catch up 19 hours everybody knows that you can catch up time
57:31run sean edmund we just need to get that extra little push to win i think we can do it vote vote
57:37so if thomas and i can win this race it will mean the world to me i feel the pressure's on
