00:13Bay stores officially closed.
00:15The company returned to court this morning to seek approval for a $30 million deal it
00:19signed with Canadian Tire.
00:21The deal allows Canadian Tire to buy the rights to Hudson's Bay intellectual property, which
00:26includes its name, its coat of arms, and its iconic stripes.
00:30Court documents have also shown the deal includes the Bay's distinctly home brand, its Hudson
00:35North apparel line trademarks like Bay Days, and the Zeller's catchphrase, the lowest price
00:40is the law.
00:41Canadian Tire was last, trading at $172.72.
00:47On the mining front, Vancouver-based Artemis Gold has officially opened Canada's newest
00:51gold and silver mine.
00:52Located in Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Blackwater mine was built in 22 months at a cost of $1
00:58billion.
00:59KPMG's 2020 impact study estimated the mine would contribute $13.2 billion to the provincial
01:05economy over its life.
01:07The mine is designed to be one of the lowest greenhouse gas-demiting open-pit mining operations
01:12in the world.
01:13Artemis Gold is down over a percent, last trading at just under $24.70.
