Senate pushed to convene as impeach court against Sara, slammed for delay
Advocates for the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte hold d a press briefing at the House of Representatives on June 3, 2025 to urge the Senate to convene as an impeachment court as mandated in the Constitution and try Vice President Sara Duterte who is facing charges involving the alleged misuse of government funds, among others. In a chance interview with reporters outgoing ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro said delay was a 'fishy' move by Senate President Francis Escudero.
