00:00Hey.
00:02Yeah?
00:04Are we okay?
00:06Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're looking at 10 unfinished storylines in Stranger Things
00:12that need to be closed in Season 5.
00:14And now this cult is protecting its leader, Eddie, hiding him.
00:21The Invasion of Hawkins.
00:30Four times max.
00:35Let's get the most obvious out of the way first.
00:38The Invasion of Hawkins will need to be wrapped up.
00:40Duh.
00:41The fourth season ended with major fissures erupting in the town's streets
00:45and virtually destroying the entire downtown core.
00:48These fissures were initially passed off as an earthquake,
00:52but that explanation is seemingly thrown aside once the Upside Down begins invading the town.
00:57It's been less than 48 hours since a 7.4 magnitude earthquake rocked the quaint town of Hawkins,
01:0480 miles outside of Indianapolis,
01:06in an event that seismologists are calling a natural disaster of near unprecedented scale.
01:12Our heroes can only look on in shock and horror,
01:15as giant pillars of smoke emerge from the ground and tower into the sky,
01:20a biblical site straight from the apocalypse.
01:22Where this storyline goes from here is anyone's guess,
01:25but it's sure to be the most major plot point throughout Season 5.
01:43Callie.
01:44Sister.
01:47Sister.
01:48We know you probably tried wiping that episode from your memory,
01:52but surely you remember Callie?
01:53She appeared in Season 2, which seems like it was 20 years ago at this point,
01:58alongside a group of silly punks.
02:00While her episode was widely hated, it did introduce some interesting elements,
02:05like Callie choosing a path of revenge against the employees of Hawkins' lab.
02:09If he's alive, Jane will find him, just as she found you.
02:13Do it, Jane.
02:16Do it.
02:18Eleven ultimately decides not to continue down her wayward route,
02:21and departs for Hawkins,
02:23leaving the fate of Callie and her group ambiguous.
02:26It'd be nice to get closure in Season 5,
02:29with Callie returning as either an ally or an antagonist in the fight for Hawkins,
02:33and offering thematic resolution to her and Eleven's respective paths.
02:37Your mother sent you here for a reason, remember?
02:40We belong together.
02:42There's nothing for you back there.
02:43They cannot save you, Jane.
02:45Nancy and Jonathan.
02:47This loving couple has been a pair since Season 2,
02:50when Jonathan went with the pullout.
02:52A pullout couch, that is.
02:53So, Jonathan.
02:56How was the pullout?
02:59I'm sorry.
03:01The sofa.
03:03Oh, yeah.
03:04Yeah, it was good.
03:07I bet.
03:08Unfortunately, things were pretty rocky between the two throughout Season 4,
03:12with both taking different paths in life.
03:14The two are suffering under a long-distance relationship,
03:17with Nancy in denial about their future,
03:19and Jonathan expressing his intent to break up with her.
03:22What is your approach here, man?
03:24To just slow motion break up with Nancy?
03:27I guess.
03:28No, man!
03:29The two are also unknowingly clashing about college.
03:32Nancy believes that they're both going to Emerson,
03:35but Jonathan has secretly accepted a spot in Lenora Hills.
03:38Their final scene together is a telling one,
03:41with Jonathan lying to Nancy and continuing the charade of applying to Emerson.
03:45We can't wait to see how this tension boils over in Season 5.
03:48Your application letter.
03:52Not that it matters at all anymore, but did it ever come?
04:02No.
04:03No.
04:04Not yet.
04:06Hopper and Joyce.
04:07I'll tell you everything over dinner.
04:09I was thinking, you know, Enzo's tonight, 7 o'clock.
04:12Hey, before you say no, I'd like to make one thing crystal clear.
04:16This is not a date.
04:18If there's one question we need answered in the final season, it's this.
04:22Will Hopper and Joyce ever go on that date to Enzo's?
04:25Come on.
04:26He dressed up in his finest Magnum P.I. shirt and everything.
04:29That's a lot of color for you, Chief.
04:31It's cutting edge stuff, all right?
04:35It's cutting edge!
04:37Romantic tension first appeared between the two in Season 3,
04:40with Hopper asking Joyce out, getting jealous of other men that she talked to,
04:44and getting upset when she expressed her desire to leave Hawkins.
04:48And while they are both clearly broken from their respective traumas,
04:52they do eventually share a kiss in Season 4.
04:54It's not a flashy romance by any means, but it's an authentic one.
04:58So say yes to Jopper.
05:00This time, it's gonna be different.
05:04It better be.
05:08I am not having another funeral.
05:20Vecna and the Mind Flayer.
05:22We need closure on another relationship, but it's not one of the romantic sort.
05:37No, we're talking about the weird, symbiotic relationship between Vecna and the Mind Flayer.
05:42This was very briefly hinted at in Season 4,
05:45with Vecna slash Henry seemingly creating it from the particles that are flying around Dimension X.
05:50But there are still plenty of unanswered questions left about the villainous duo.
05:54I saw a means to realize my potential, to transcend my human form, to become the predator I was always born to be.
06:09Were those particles intelligent or sentient before Vecna got there?
06:13If so, did the Mind Flayer allow itself to be controlled, or was that all Vecna?
06:18Is the Mind Flayer completely loyal to Vecna, or does it have its own agenda?
06:22Heck, what exactly are those particles?
06:25We'd love if these questions were explored in some capacity.
06:29That was, that was you.
06:31The Upside Down.
06:33We just tell our parents we have a V-Club after school.
06:35That'll give us at least a few hours for Operation Markwood.
06:38You seriously think that the weirdo knows where Will is?
06:41Just trust me on this, okay?
06:43The problem with expanding a story's mythology is that it opens more and more questions.
06:47In season one, we were perfectly happy with accepting the Upside Down as some creepy alternate dimension.
06:53But as the show expanded its scope, so too did the mythology balloon.
06:57And we eventually learned that Eleven inadvertently created the Upside Down when she made contact with Vecna's hive mind in Dimension X.
07:05All I needed was someone to open the door.
07:10And you did that for me.
07:13Without you even realizing it.
07:16Or something like that.
07:17It's all a bit unclear.
07:19Did Dimension X transform into the Upside Down?
07:22How did Eleven making contact with Vecna create a perfect physical copy of Hawkins?
07:26And what exactly is Dimension X anyway?
07:29We just don't know.
07:31But we would love to.
07:32At first, I believed you had sent me to my death.
07:37To purgatory.
07:38But I was wrong.
07:42I was somewhere new.
07:45Eddie's reputation.
07:46I didn't run away this time, right?
07:50No.
07:51No, no, no, no.
07:51You didn't run.
07:54You're gonna have to look after those little sheep for me, okay?
07:56The fandom loves Eddie Munson, but the people of Hawkins certainly don't.
08:01We obviously know the complicated truth about Eddie, and that he was a hero for saving Hawkins.
08:06But the citizens still believe that he's some kind of murderous, satanic cult weirdo.
08:11That's dramatic irony, folks.
08:13These murders are ritualistic sacrifices.
08:17We've all heard about how satanic cults are spreading to our country like some disease.
08:22And Eddie Munson is the leader of one of these cults.
08:26We later see that satanic imagery has been drawn onto Eddie's missing poster,
08:30signaling that his reputation around town is still in the gutter.
08:34Dustin knows better, and he tells Wayne the truth in regards to his nephew,
08:38bringing him a semblance of closure.
08:40Will he do the same for the entire town and help restore Eddie's reputation as a good guy?
08:45Or better yet, a hero?
08:47Only time will tell.
08:48He fought and died to protect this town.
08:53This town that hated him.
08:58He isn't just innocent.
09:02Mr. Munson, he's...
09:04He's a hero.
09:06Russia
09:07It's obvious that Russia has plans with the Upside Down.
09:16It all started when they built a hidden facility beneath Starcourt Mall
09:20and tried to reopen the gate to the Upside Down with a giant laser thingy.
09:25Why?
09:25And how did they know about the Upside Down in the first place?
09:28Well, that has never really been explained.
09:30And season 4 only added to the questions.
09:40We learned that Kamchatka Prison is holding its own creatures,
09:43including a demogorgon and what looks like the particles that make up the mind flayer.
09:48It's clear the Russians have had successful access to the Upside Down
09:51and are actively studying its inhabitants.
09:54Why?
09:55Scientific curiosity?
09:56Or perhaps something more nefarious?
09:59This is the Cold War after all.
10:01What the hell are they doing?
10:12What the hell are they doing?
10:13Wills can...
