00:01Welcome to Ms. Mojo and today we are taking a trip down memory lane by spotlighting the
00:08absolutely iconic fashion moments from the Cannes Film Festival and we're starting with the 2025
00:15stars that didn't just walk the red carpet, they owned it. I feel lucky that I get to wear it
00:24and
00:24whatever story you want to make up in your mind that's the right one. Welcome to Ms. Mojo and today
00:33we're counting down our picks for the boldest most show-stopping looks at the 78th Festival de Cannes
00:38in France. Oh hello come get ready with me we're going to the premiere of my movie Eleanor the Great
00:44in Cannes. Number 15 Bella Hadid. With the Cannes Film Festival's new 2025 dress code people wondered
00:53what daring fashionista Bella Hadid would wear on the red carpet. I was still nervous about cameras
00:58and nervous about having a lot of makeup on and nervous about this slit was like thank god I think
01:04that maybe there was one little slip that happened. The model went viral after attending the opening
01:08ceremony wearing a black custom Saint Laurent dress with an asymmetrical open back. Although she kept
01:14it simple and elegant Hadid still delivered a bold look with a side slit starting at the top of her
01:19thigh. I also love to show a little skin I don't think there's anything wrong with skin. The Chopard
01:25ambassador added some glitz to her glam with 118.68 carat emerald earrings and two diamond rings from the
01:33Haute Joaillerie collection. A pair of black Saint Laurent Georgia sandals with rhinestone straps pulled the
01:39sleek ensemble together. Hadid also debuted long honey blonde tresses styled by Jacob Schwartz.
01:45Number 14. Viola Davis. EGOT winner and inspiring philanthropist Viola Davis may be a newbie on the
01:52can red carpet but the legendary actress is a pro when it comes to showcasing incredible fashion.
01:58I don't apologize for my beauty anymore. At all. I am absolutely proud of how god made me.
02:07She attended the premiere of the mastermind in an eye-catching custom Gucci yellow green silk
02:12chiffon gown gown with rouged detailing and a lace bustier. The L'Oreal ambassador elevated the look by
02:18rocking her gorgeous natural curls courtesy of hairstylist Jamaica Wilson. A beautiful blue gutty
02:24emerald choker and matching ring added some sparkle but all the radiance came from Davis's infectious
02:29positive energy and dazzling smile. Self love is the thing that helps you create boundaries,
02:37protect your peace, know who to work with and who are your best collaborators.
02:44Number 13. Scarlett Johansson. This isn't Scarlett Johansson's first can red carpet but it is the first
02:51time she's attended as a director. For her big night, the Eleanor the Great director served simple
02:56sophistication in a classic black dress by Prada with matching pumps. Collaborating with stylist Kate Young,
03:02Johansson. Johansson upped the glam for the V Privé premiere, wearing a Prada strapless chiffon dress
03:07with a ruched bodice. Although the hue of the flowing fabric looks like lavender from some angles,
03:13the official color is a dusty blue. Tonight I am wearing a custom Prada gown which is like a beautiful
03:20pale blue and yeah it's really pretty makes me feel like a princess. Using Johansson's vegan skincare line
03:29the outset, makeup artist Hong Van Gogh gave her a clean look with a bold lip. Finishing touches were
03:35De Beers's Essence of Nature collection, including a pair of teardrop earrings with over 13 carats of diamonds.
03:42Okay everyone, we're hitting the red carpet! So exciting! I'll be glowing out there.
03:48Number 12. Elaine Jong aka Jong Shushi. Elaine Jong had a princess moment at the Cannes Film Festival's
03:55Dossier 137 premiere and we cannot get enough of it. The Chinese actor gracefully stepped out of a
04:01fairy tale and onto the red carpet in a white Elisab strapless gown from the Au Couture Spring Summer
04:062023 collection. Featuring intricate floral and sequin embroidery on the bodice and as a L'Oreal
04:12ambassador, Jong repped the brand with subtle eye makeup and a bold lip, including some SPF for
04:18protection from the sunny French Riviera. She topped it off with a classic Hollywood hairstyle and beautiful
04:24jewelry. Pure elegance. Number 11. Julia Garner. The Fantastic Four First Steps actor Julia Garner
04:32attended the opening ceremony and the Leave One Day premiere wearing an eye-catching black silk
04:37chiffon Gucci gown with draped detailing and a modest train. The champagne-colored sequin underdress
04:42created an all-over shimmering effect that really popped under the lights. Garner brought even more
04:48dazzle with romantic jewels from the Pasquale Bruni high jewelry collection. White gold and diamond drop
04:53earrings with a morganite gem and a white and rose gold ring. Makeup artist Zoe Taylor gave the star a
05:00sultry smoky eye paired with a nude lip and Bobby Elliott styled her signature blonde pixie cut. Garner
05:05completed the edgy dark glam look with a pair of black leather platforms. Number 10. Halle Berry.
05:12As one of this year's jury members, Halle Berry had a lot to do with the Cannes Film Festival and
05:17that
05:18means a multi-day sleigh. I mean, this is a huge, huge honor. It's up there in one of the
05:24highlights,
05:24I think, of my career and as an artist to be asked to serve on this jury. The Oscar winner
05:30adhered to the
05:31new dress code at the opening ceremony, swapping a crimson red Garof Gupta Stunner for a bold striped
05:37gown from Jacques Mousse Spring 2025. However, the ensemble made an appearance at the Chopard Universe
05:43Dinner a few days later. And let's not forget the L'Oreal Paris Dinner for Women in Cinema,
05:48where she served effortless elegance in a blush pink gown from Illy Saab Spring 2025 Haute Couture
05:54collection. From the custom Gucci gown at the Caring Women in Motion Arts to the timeless Jacques
05:59Mousse number and serpent necklace at the Trophée Chopard Gala, Ms. Berry kept us fed. Cannes never
06:06disappoints. Everyone knows it's one of the best festivals in the world. Number 9. Margaret Qualley.
06:11Chanel ambassador Margaret Qualley's star has been steadily on the rise in film and fashion.
06:17And what better place to celebrate both than another Cannes Film Festival? At the film's premiere,
06:22the Honey Don't actress wowed in a light blush custom Chanel silk chiffon gown, adorned with a
06:27delicate camellia flower and black bow under the off-shoulder neckline. The creation was inspired by
06:33an archival look worn by supermodel Claudia Schiffer from the brand's Haute Couture Spring Summer 1990
06:38collection. A high slit in the middle showed off two-tone ballet flats from Chanel, proving you don't
06:43have to sacrifice style over comfort. Qualley's romantic updo and chic earrings tied it all together.
06:50Number 8. Araya A. Hargate. Red carpet regular and L'Oreal Paris ambassador Araya A. Hargate,
06:57aka Chompu, came to Cannes prepared to turn heads in more looks than one. My number one rule for getting
07:03dressed is I would be dressed appropriate for the occasion, respect the people who you're going to see,
07:10but always be yourself. For the screening of Nouvelle Vague, the Thai model and actress wore an
07:16Ilisab Haute Couture off-the-shoulder gown featuring an array of exquisite embroidery. I love the colors,
07:22it's very nice and the embroidery is like crazy. The way it opens, I love it. I love how they
07:30mix the
07:31different kinds of embroideries together. At the Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning premiere,
07:36Hargate donned a glittering blush tone dress from Armani Privé Spring 2025. On the Eddington red carpet,
07:43the fashionista wore an edgy custom city wanawari cream down with a leather and grommet corset top
07:49that flowed into a lovely tulle skirt. Hargate's three standout looks were each elevated with dazzling
07:55jewels, light makeup and sleek updos. Number two, I would say stay hydrated.
08:01Number seven. Dakota Johnson. Like several fashionistas on this list, Dakota Johnson had more
08:08than one stellar look at Cannes. She was a glittering stunner at the Caring Women in Motion awards in a
08:22sheer silver custom Gucci column dress with a halter neck. With the gown taking center stage, Johnson
08:28opted for a sleek ponytail and her trademark bangs styled by Mark Townsend. For jewelry, she showed off
08:33Boucheron's eye-catching serpent bohème solidarité diamond hoop earrings. The actor-producer also made
08:39an impression on the red carpet at highest to lowest premiere in another Gucci creation,
08:44a light pink sequin gown with a layered fringe skirt. Now that's how a star makes a memorable Cannes debut.
08:56Number six. Naomi Campbell. At the Fuori premiere, iconic supermodel Naomi Campbell dominated the
09:03Quasette in a black tulle ball gown from the Dolce & Gabbana Altamores Le Sicilien collection. Of course,
09:10the standout element was the gold corset with black crystals, a true work of Baroque art. Campbell completed
09:16the maximalist look with stunning jewels from Diamante Mimosa, including earrings featuring
09:21Mediterranean coral, pink sapphires, pink gold, rubies, and diamonds. We're used to seeing Campbell
09:27with her signature sleek straight hair, but here she changed it up with a fanned out fro,
09:32adding more drama to this opulent look. Number five. Elle Fanning. We love an Elle Fanning princess moment
09:40on any red carpet, and lucky for us, she served another one at this year's Cannes Film Festival when
09:45she joined her sentimental value castmates at the premiere. Styled by Samantha McMillan, the star
09:50donned a custom Armani Privé strapless gown in pale blue with a plunging sweetheart neckline featuring
09:56light pink floral embellishments from the bodice down to the small train. As always, Ms. Fanning was
10:02a vision of ethereal elegance, and the figure-hugging silhouette added a sultry edge. Makeup artist Erin
10:08Ayani and Monroe brought out her youthful glow with a fresh dewy look, complemented by hair stylist
10:13Jenda Alcorn's relaxed down-do. Minimal Cartier rings topped it off, letting the dress take the
10:19spotlight. This wasn't her only look at the festival, though. Fanning stunned with a few more before it
10:24closed. Number four. Eva Longoria. 2025 marks Eva Longoria's 20th time at Cannes, and the talented
10:32multi-hyphenate, along with stylist Maeve Riley, curated a series of gorgeous gowns to celebrate.
10:38At the Phoenician Scheme premiere, Longoria donned a shimmering blush-tone dress from Tomorrow Ralph's
10:43Spring 2025 couture collection, perfectly complemented by a similarly-hued Chopard
10:48haute joaillerie pink diamond necklace. She hit the Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning red carpet
10:53in a jaw-dropping Ilisab Fall 2024 haute couture teal sequin gown, and wore another Ilisab stunner to
11:01the Global Gift Gala. But our favorite might be the colorful couture masterpiece from Zuhair Murad's Spring
11:062025 to the L'Oreal Paris Women in Cinema dinner. Longoria was truly a walking work of art.
11:14Number three. Natalie Portman. We can always count on the radiant Natalie Portman to deliver
11:19incredibly chic looks on and off the red carpet. Attending this year's Cannes Film Festival, the
11:25Oscar-winning actress-producer went fun and flirty at the photo call for her film Arco in a black Dior
11:31structured mini dress with beaded floral embroidery. For the Eddington premiere, Portman stunned the
11:37Croisette in a beautiful recreation of the Christian Dior Fall 1951 haute couture Mexique gown.
11:52Featuring a black bow, the shimmering bodice flowed into a black tulle skirt with handcrafted silver
11:57beading throughout. Her chic ballerina bun and striking Tiffany and co jewels topped off the show-stopping,
12:03timeless movie star look. Number two. Praveenar Singh. Praveenar Veena Singh is known for effortlessly
12:10rocking gorgeous looks on any red carpet and the just-crowned Miss Universe Saraburi 2025
12:16seriously slayed her Cannes Film Festival debut. The Thai Indian model and influencer stunned at the
12:21Dossier 137 premiere in a luminous liquid metal silk Michael Cinco couture ball gown that reportedly took
12:281000 hours to craft. While the all-over metallic effect had its own shine, Singh wore aria jewels,
12:35including custom-cut diamond earrings, a set of rings, and a bangle, all of which complement the
12:40diamond knot statement necklace. Cinco said he was inspired by celestial goddesses when creating Singh's
12:46look, and it's safe to say we won't forget this iconic fashion moment for a while. Before we unveil our
12:52top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. Asia Naomi King. The Grosse Pointe Garden Society star was
12:59a vision in a pink Miu Miu Miu Mousseline Viseae creation. Irina Shaikh. The model served Morticia
13:10Adams' realness in a custom Elisa Black Mermaid gown. Ariana Greenblatt. A stunning Cannes debut in two looks
13:24from Contrie and Louis Vuitton. Elsa Hosk. This Anastasia Zadorina couture gown is giving old Hollywood glam
13:39and we're here for it. Alexander Skarsgård. The method-dressing pillion actor brought chaotic Cannes fashion
13:51energy in these kinky fits. Number 1. Alia Bhatt. Actress, activist, and entrepreneur Alia Bhatt finally had
14:09her highly anticipated Cannes Film Festival debut. And it's safe to say she made a massive impression.
14:15I truly thrive in this sort of chaos. Honoring her Indian heritage, she dominated the closing ceremony
14:22red carpet in a sari-style custom Gucci creation dripping in Swarovski crystals, featuring the iconic
14:29Gigi monogram. I mean, I think it looks so beautiful on a sari. They created this very sexy, very minimal
14:34silhouette, and then added this really dramatic drape, which I thought was really smart, a really modern way
14:40to interpret it. The all-over shine was elevated by a collection of Malabar gold and diamonds jewels,
14:46co-created by Bhatt's stylist Rhea Kapoor. The Gucci global brand ambassador wore her hair in gorgeous
14:52old Hollywood waves, styled by Amit Thakkar. While some have pointed out that this three-piece ensemble is
14:58more lehenga and less sari. The end result is still a history-making sight to behold.
15:03It's Alia's debut at Cannes. She's the first ever Indian Gucci brand ambassador. And I think to just
15:09celebrate those two worlds coming together, what could be a better moment than the closing ceremony at Cannes?
15:14What's your favorite Cannes look of 2025? How well do you think attendees followed the dress code?
15:21To 2022 we go, as we revisit all the fits from that year that still live rent-free in our
15:29minds.
15:30My relationship with the world has always been sort of through this lens of curiosity.
15:35Welcome to Ms. Mojo. And today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 best Cannes Film Festival looks
15:41of 2022.
15:47It feels so good. It's my happy place. Cannes is like, I'm always happy here in Cannes. Everything seems to
15:54go so perfectly. I love it.
15:56For this list, we're looking at the boldest and most fashionable ensembles at the 75th Festival de Cannes in France.
16:03What's your favorite Cannes look of 2022?
16:07Number 10. Katherine Langford
16:09Australian actress Katherine Langford made her Cannes debut in Custom Prada,
16:15literally shining as she walked to the red carpet at the opening ceremony.
16:18Styled by Molly Dixon, the Knives Out star was a vision in a silver sequined column gown with an oversized
16:25bow and sweeping train.
16:27Piaget earrings completed the overall glittery look, but the budding fashionista did not stop there.
16:33She attended the Top Gun Maverick premiere in a hot pink taffeta piece
16:37from Valentino's Fall 2022 Pink PP collection. Langford attended the annual event as a spokesperson for
16:44longtime Cannes sponsor L'Oreal Paris, so naturally, her makeup was minimal and flawless.
16:50Number 9. Alessandra Ambrosio
16:52Hot Pink had a moment in the French Riviera this year, being a must-have for several attendees,
16:58including Alessandra Ambrosio. The Brazilian beauty stunned at the celebration of Women in
17:03Cinema Gala in this romantic Elie Saab gown with a sweetheart neckline and floral applique.
17:09Celebrity hairstylist Dimitri Giannetos gave the supermodel a polished blunt bob,
17:14shortly after Ambrosio sported long waves parted in the middle. She took our breath away in a strapless
17:20mermaid-style gown by Alberto Ferretti, featuring a plunging neckline that showed off her sparkling
17:26boucheron jewels.
17:28Number 8. Emily Ratajkowski
17:30Never one too shy away from the daring, author and supermodel Emily Ratajkowski wowed the Cannes
17:36red carpet in a long black lace dress by Miu Miu. Beaded floral embellishments added some shine to the
17:42ensemble, as did the gold-buckled belt and emerald Chopard jewels. Ratajkowski also rocked a new set of
17:48French girl bangs, as her hairstylist Jennifer Yepes called them. She opted for clip-in bangs
17:53rather than scissors to achieve this hairstyle, creating a temporary but stylish look. The overall
17:59result is definitely on brand with Ratajkowski's signature blend of sultry and sophisticated.
18:05Number 7. Kristen Stewart
18:08Ultimate cool girl and Chanel ambassador Kristen Stewart repped the brand to the nines at the
18:13Cannes Film Festival. At a photo call for her new film Crimes of the Future,
18:17the actress wore a red tweed pantsuit straight off the runway from the Chanel Cruise 2023 collection.
18:24But in true K-Stew fashion, she made the look her own by foregoing an undershirt and leaving the top
18:29of the blazer unbuttoned. She also kept the accessories light, only wearing a couple of rings,
18:34letting the already embroidered ensemble have the spotlight. Stewart added a retro twist with
18:39tinted sunglasses and black platform boots.
18:42Number 6. Viola Davis
18:45Award-winning actress Viola Davis kept it fun and colorful with Alexander McQueen at this year's Cannes,
18:51donning not one but two bright pantsuits. But it was this bell-like off-the-shoulder canary yellow
18:57gown she wore to the Top Gun Maverick premiere that really caught our eye. The star looked absolutely
19:02radiant in the custom McQueen creation featuring an exploded neckline and corset with puffy sleeves.
19:08Davis rocked her beautiful natural hair adorned with an orange flower hairpin,
19:13topping off the look with Boucheron jewelry. The actress also made a bold choice of footwear,
19:18with custom Todd's chunky gold platforms underneath.
19:22Number 5. Bella Hadid
19:23The Hadid's are known fashionistas, and Bella really brought it for 2022. The talented Law Roach,
19:31who dubbed his client the Queen of Cannes, dressed his client in an assortment of vintage dresses,
19:37including a show-stopping piece from the Gianni Versace archives. Hadid turned heads in this black
19:42strapless gown from the late designer's spring-summer 1987 collection, complete with dazzling drop
19:47earrings and rings by Chopin. The ruched bodice and velvet skirt perfectly hugged the model's figure,
19:53with the draping taffeta and big bow adding some drama. Hadid's sleek bun allowed her black cat
20:00eyeliner to seriously pop. Number 4. Deepika Padukone
20:04Bollywood star and Cannes jury member Deepika Padukone kicked off the festival at the opening
20:09ceremony gala dinner, wearing this stunning sari-style gown by Sabia Saatchi. She complimented
20:15the sparkly black and gold striped dress with bold eye makeup and a crystal headband. Padukone recently
20:21made history as the first Indian brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton, and she continued to slay the red
20:26carpet and custom creations, including a gorgeous red peplum dress with a Cartier statement necklace,
20:32and a sleek black cocktail gown with all-over feather detail. While she made headlines for
20:37struggling to walk in an elaborate orange Ashi studio gown, the actress was still one of this
20:43year's best-dressed celebs. Number 3. Eva Longoria
20:47Like many of the celebs on this list who graced the south of France with extravagant fashion,
20:52Eva Longoria served multiple looks. Whether she wore a sheer black Alberta Ferretti dress with ruffles,
20:58or a mono one-shoulder black gown with a high slit and lots of leg, the Latina actress stole the
21:04red
21:04carpet again and again. But our favorite has to be this silver mosaic-tiled dress with off-shoulder
21:11detail by Christina Ottaviano and Acquazura heels. The star did a smoky eye and nude lip for her
21:17disco ball moment, complete with dangling earrings and a half-up, half-down hairstyle.
21:23Number 2. Elle Fanning
21:24Even though she plays Empress Catherine II in Hulu's The Great, the ever-elegant Elle Fanning had a total
21:31princess moment at Cannes this year. The actress wore a blush-pink Armani Privé tulle gown with a
21:37crystal corseted bodice. Strapless with a subtle sweetheart neckline, the dress accentuated her
21:42figure, fitting her like a glove. Fanning accessorized with a Chopard diamond choker and
21:48matching bracelet, adding a yellow heart ring for some color. She finished off the regal look with
21:53a delicate beaded bow in her blonde curls. Elle was absolutely enchanting, immediately earning the
21:59title of one of the best-dressed stars to grace the croisette. Before we unveil our number one pick,
22:05here are some honorable mentions. Amandine Petit
22:09Miss France 2021 brought elegance in a flowy gown.
22:17Sharon Stone
22:18The Hollywood icon radiated timeless beauty in a custom Dolce & Gabbana emerald green dress.
22:30Jessica Wang
22:32The fashion blogger had us mesmerized wearing Tony Ward couture capsule collection.
22:47Lori Harvey
22:48Harvey was the belle of the ball in a voluminous yellow Alexandre Vautier
22:52Couture gown. Jennifer Connelly
22:58Louis Vuitton dressed the actress in a Nicolas Ghesquière-designed metallic stunner.
23:12Number 1. Anne Hathaway
23:14Yes, Anne Hathaway is undeniably the queen of CAN 2022, with her series of remarkable looks. The
23:22Armageddon time star effortlessly slayed at the film's photo call, wearing a black and blue Gucci
23:28mini dress with embellishments, Bulgari jewelry, and silver platform heels. Her bump it beehive and
23:34cat eye sunglasses gave it a retro vibe. Hathaway's definite show-stopping look of the event was a
23:40white sequined gown by Armani Privé she wore to the premiere. The actress paired with it a jaw-dropping
23:46one-of-a-kind Bulgari necklace boasting a rare 107.15-carat cushion-cut Sri Lankan sapphire
23:54and matching ring, Miranda Priestly would approve.
23:57I never thought I would say this, Andre. But I really...
24:04I see a great deal of myself in you.
24:07It's now time to highlight the 2019 looks that define peak CAN energy.
24:16This is very likely the most glamorous festival of the year. Welcome to Ms. Mojo. And today we're
24:23counting down our picks for the top 10 best dressed at the 2019 CAN Film Festival. For this list, we're
24:30looking at all celebs who really brought it for this year's big event.
24:36Bella Hadid is one of the world's most sought-after models and a celebrity in her own right. Always
24:43stunning fans with her incredibly modern outfits. So it's no surprise that she made it onto our list
24:49for best dressed at CAN this year. While Hadid typically skews to more minimalist and contemporary
24:54looks, such as her red Roberto Cavalli dress, she decided to veer towards the romantic for the
25:00dress she wore to the screening of Rocketman at CAN. The pale-hued gown was by Christian Dior
25:05and featured a tiered design, which we'll come to see was actually something of a trend at the
25:10festival this year. Number 9. Dua Lipa
25:13Dua Lipa is one of the hottest pop stars in the game and she did not hold back when she
25:19walked the
25:19red carpet for the 2019 Amphar Gala at CAN. Her dress was a quintessential Valentino couture look,
25:26made in the designer's signature crimson hue. The asymmetrical one-shoulder dress featured a tiered
25:32design as well as a sky-high slit that let the singer reveal a matching red stiletto underneath.
25:38If there's one opportunity to dress like royalty, it's at CAN. And Dua Lipa took the chance and ran with
25:44it.
25:45Number 8. Julianne Moore
25:47Julianne Moore can basically do no wrong when it comes to her fashion game. Always appearing on the red carpet,
25:52looking elegant yet edgy. She proved once again that redheads look stunning in green in an emerald
25:58Dior gown with matching Chopard jewels. At the CAN premiere of Les Miserables on May 15th,
26:04she wore a simple black dress designed by Louis Vuitton. But what made the outfit memorable was an
26:09embellished leather capelet from the designer's Cruise 2020 collection. Finally, at the Rocketman premiere,
26:15she fittingly brought a bit of glitz with a flowing silver Givenchy haute couture creation with a pink overlay.
26:21Number 7. Asia Naomi King
26:24Asia Naomi King may not yet be a household name, but after her stint at CAN this year,
26:29we have a feeling she'll be getting a lot more attention. Though she had some memorable ensembles
26:34from last year's CAN, this year she made our jaws drop with one particular look. At the premiere of
26:40A Hidden Life, she wore a peach Zac Posen dress that made the starlet feel like a princess. With the
26:46subtle detailing, deemfy neckline and exaggerated sleeves, we think she looked like a 21st century royal.
26:53Number 6. Sara Sempaio
26:55Portuguese model Sara Sempaio brought her A-game to several CAN events this year. At the Amphar Gala,
27:02she wore a simple yet dramatic Armani ball gown with a strapless neckline and an over-the-top feathered
27:08skirt. She also looked like a princess at the screening of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood when
27:13she wore an apricot orange Georges Obéca gown in a similar silhouette. And at the screening of Rocket
27:19Man, she wore a thematically on-point silver suit with exaggerated lapels and a matching train,
27:26which Sir Elton John definitely would have approved of.
27:29Number 5. Helen Mirren
27:31Dame Helen Mirren always proves that great fashion knows no age limit, and her appearance at CAN this year
27:37was no exception. When she walked the red carpet at a screening of Les plus belles années d'une vie,
27:43she wore a lovely rose Elisab gown with full sleeves and an asymmetrical neckline. The entire
27:49dress was embellished with metallic material as well as beading near the neckline. But what really put
27:55her look over the top was her dyed pink hair, which coordinated with the ensemble and added an
28:00undeniably youthful edge to her outfit. Number 4. Priyanka Chopra
28:05Lots of major stars hit the red carpet for a screening of Rocket Man, and newlywed Priyanka
28:10Chopra was just one of them. She wore a stunning Roberto Cavalli couture dress with an interesting
28:15pattern of embellishment. The gown was mostly an inky scintillating black, but in the middle it faded
28:21into an ombre of pale pinks and reds. The color of her lipstick was subtle, but coordinated perfectly.
28:28She also made an appearance with her hubby Nick Jonas for a screening of Les plus belles années d'une
28:33vie in a white George Obeka gown that made her look like a bride all over again.
28:39Number 3. Kendall Jenner
28:40One of the most spectacular gowns of this festival was worn by one of the world's most famous faces,
28:46Kendall Jenner. And while most of the outfits we saw on the can red carpets probably cost much more
28:52than your monthly rent, this one is actually a collaboration between designer Giambattista Bali
28:57and H&M. The frothy pink number featured multiple layers in an eye-catching hue,
29:02and the cut-out silhouette, which put Jenner's legs on display, stopped it from being too one note.
29:08The collection will hit stores in November of 2019, and you'll have a chance to own this dress yourself.
29:14Number 2. Eva Longoria
29:16Some celebs made our list for one notable look, and others for consistently bringing it throughout
29:21the entire festival. Eva Longoria actually wore two very similar dresses to different can events.
29:28For the festival's opening ceremonies and the premiere of The Dead Don't Die,
29:31she wore a one-shoulder gown by Alberto Ferretti, which played with different materials,
29:37a pink satin, and a heavy metallic. She opted for a similar neckline and metallic
29:42a second time for a screening of Rocketman, where she looked statuesque in a full-on glitzy gown.
29:49Then at the Amphar Can Gala, she wore Ferretti again. This time, a white satin gown with a
29:55strapless neckline and a unique high-low hemline. Before we unveil our top pick,
30:00here are a few honorable mentions.
30:39Number 1. Elle Fanning
30:42She may be only 21 years old, but Elle Fanning stole the show at Cannes this year.
30:47Leaning into a modern princess vibe for this festival,
30:50she appeared in a number of beautiful feminine gowns at several events.
30:54For the festival's opening ceremony, she wore red lipstick and a caped Gucci dress,
30:59with floral detailing at the waist. At the screening for Les Miserables,
31:03she chose a floral Valentino dress, with flowing flutter sleeves paired with a braided crown.
31:08For the premiere of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, she went old-school vintage in Dior,
31:14a look we still can't get over. And for the closing ceremony, she sported perhaps her best look yet,
31:21a full-on fairy tale in a beaded ream aqua gown with a sheer cape.
31:26Up next, we are reliving the magic of the 2018 Cannes red carpet.
31:32Every step these stars took was a style flex.
31:37Come for the films, stay for the dresses. Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we'll be counting down our picks
31:44for the Top 10 Best Dressed Celebrities at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. For this list,
31:49we're taking a look at the boldest and most alluring fashion choices at the 71st Annual Cannes Film Festival.
31:57Number 10. Julianne Moore
31:59This Oscar winner sported a couple of different looks at Cannes this year.
32:03For the premiere of the Egyptian comedy Yomadine, Moore donned a black Saint Laurent gown that featured
32:08an asymmetrical cut, giving the dress a unique silhouette, almost like a mountain.
32:13Her ensemble came complete with a Chopard necklace, that could almost be mistaken for the heart of the ocean.
32:19Moore also showed off her fun side at the festival, sporting a striking fringe dress when she attended
32:24the Chopard gentleman's night. Moore wore her most elegant outfit to the Everybody Knows screening,
32:29showing up in a fiery Givenchy haute couture piece. This blazing cape dress was perfectly
32:34complimented by Moore's signature red hair, not to mention the red carpet.
32:38Number 9. Diane Kruger
32:41Diane Kruger never fails to impress when it comes to fashion and beauty.
32:45As a former recipient of the coveted Chopard Trophy, Kruger returned to Cannes this year to
32:50award the same prize to Elizabeth Debicki and Joe Alwyn. She paraded in a flowing purple
32:55Prada dress with beaded shoulders. What earns Kruger a spot on this list, however,
32:59is the ravishing Armani privé gown she wore to the Sink or Swim premiere.
33:03Draped in light blue, Kruger was the epitome of Hollywood glamour. The individual details,
33:09from the one strap to the reveal of a silver bodice, made the outfit more modern.
33:14But Kruger's waves and the subtle glimmer of her silver accessories made the look timeless.
33:20Number 8. Kristen Stewart
33:22Jury member Kristen Stewart wore a Chanel mini-dress to the Black Klansman screening.
33:26Although it was her Christine Nuboutin high heels that made the biggest statement,
33:29as the actress removed them on the red carpet. The young actress rocked various styles at Cannes,
33:35from a powder blue Chanel suit that felt equally casual and glamorous,
33:38to a striped dress at the Amphar Gala. Her ensemble for the Knife and Heart premiere was rocker chic,
33:44with a slicked forward do and shiny black trousers with a long blazer. In any case,
33:50Stewart's looks always appeared bold, fierce and powerful. However, her gown for the last night was
33:55much softer, with subtle gold details. Number 7. Irina Shayk
34:01This Russian model stunned onlookers more than once at Cannes 2018. The black gown she wore to
34:07the Yomidin screening was nothing short of fabulous. Although Shayk managed to top herself at the Sorry
34:13Angel premiere, where she heated things up with a red dress with daring cutouts. All eyes were on
34:18Shayk once again at the Chopar secret night, where she showed off her left leg in a green velvet cocktail
34:24dress. Her gown was only made more arresting with Chopar jewels decorated around her neck.
34:29Could the camera be more in love with this woman? Number 6. Cate Blanchett
34:34This Oscar winner classes up any event with her tasteful wardrobe. The jury president donned an
34:40exquisite black one-shoulder gown on the fifth day at Cannes for the Girls of the Sun premiere.
34:44However, it was her leading a women's march to call attention to the lack of female representation at
34:49Cannes over the years that caught eyes the most. Over the course of the festival,
34:53she donned anything from a black jumpsuit to a subtle black suit with an over-the-top red bow in
34:58the back, keeping all eyes on her. Some other standout ensembles were her optical Iris van
35:04Herpen couture dress, as well as her rainbow Givenchy haute couture creation. No matter what the color,
35:10Blanchett is always a vision. Number 5. Salma Hayek
35:14Along with Cate Blanchett and 80 other women, Salma Hayek also took part in the women's march,
35:19while wearing a gleaming blue dress. Hayek would show her support for women in film by attending a
35:25few other events, showcasing some more glamorous outfits in the process. At the Women in Motion
35:30program, the Mexican actress modeled a lace dress complemented by red ribbons. Her best look was
35:36displayed at the Women in Motion awards dinner, however. Hayek once again decided to go with blue
35:41in a sleeveless Gucci gown. As glamorous as the dress may be, it was the pearly necklace and
35:46boucheron jewelry that made Hayek the envy of everyone else in attendance.
35:50Number 4. Tipika Padukong
35:53Of all the ladies that can, this Bollywood bombshell perhaps took the most chances with her extravagant
35:59fashion choices. Fortunately, her ambitious wardrobe paid off with marvelous results. Padukong looked
36:05angelic in a white floral Zuhair Murad creation, though the plunging neckline made the look sultry as
36:10well. The Lorraine Schwartz and Ophira jewelry only added to this dazzling look. The Indian actress took
36:16an even greater risk for the Ash is the Purest White premiere, in a show-stopping pink Ashi Studio
36:21couture dress. Not everyone can pull off a dress with this much flair, but Padukong most certainly does.
36:28Number 3. Bella Hadid
36:30This American model was like a chameleon at Cannes 2018. Adopting too many stylish looks to keep track
36:36of, Hadid took a unique approach at the Magnum VIP party where she wore a gray mini dress paired with
36:42a matching blazer. She went bigger for an Ash is the Purest White screening, dominating the red carpet
36:47in a strapless pink gown. Hadid stood out once again at the Dior dinner in a scarlet dress designed
36:52to make heads turn, while Fashion for Relief was an opportunity for her to showcase her abs in a
36:57shimmery black gown. The stunning silver gown she wore to the Black Klansman premiere rounded out
37:02a diverse wardrobe unlike any other. Number 2. Lupita Nyong'o
37:07Lupita Nyong'o has yet to disappoint us with her stylish choices, and her appearance at Cannes this
37:12year further proved that she's one of the generation's greatest fashion icons. The Black
37:17Panther star was a regular swan princess while attending the Sorry Angel premiere. The reason
37:22Nyong'o places so high on this list, however, can be primarily attributed to the Prada dress she wore to
37:27the Chopard secret night party. Nyong'o swirled around in a magnificent pink gown with so much
37:32personality that it practically felt alive. Although a dress like this may seem untameable to some,
37:37it's an ideal fit for Nyong'o's signature passion, grace, and ability to rock virtually any article of
37:43clothing. Before we get to our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
38:03Number 1. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
38:06Designer Michael Cinco concocted a divine gown for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's arrival at the Girls of the Sun
38:11screening. Encompassing a smorgasbord of colors ranging from blue to purple, the dress gave off
38:16the impression of gazing into a kaleidoscope. The designer revealed that the spectacular 20-foot
38:21train was inspired by a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. The dress she donned for sink or swim
38:27might have been shorter on colors, but in more than compensated with glitz and polish. From the
38:32breathtaking train to the shimmering top, this gown couldn't have been more meticulously constructed.
38:37Between these two different, yet equally mesmerizing dresses, this Miss World title
38:42holder easily secured her place at the top of our list. All right, we are going to end things today
38:49by taking a look at the most memorable Cannes red carpet looks of the 2010s. Enjoy!
38:57When in France, you must always look chic. Welcome to Ms. Mojo and today we're counting down our picks
39:03for the top 10 most memorable Cannes red carpet looks of the 2010s. For this list, we're looking at
39:08the most iconic and beautiful outfits to appear at the Cannes Film Festival since 2010. However,
39:14we're excluding dresses from 2017 onward. Number 10, Nicole Kidman in Off-White Valentino.
39:22At a Cannes screening for the film Nebraska, Nicole Kidman wore a gorgeous Valentino couture gown that
39:27appeared on the designer's spring 2013 runway. The sleeveless mock neck dress featured a floral overlay
39:33in a creamy off-white shade. With her hair elegantly pulled back to give the illusion of a
39:38shorter due, the statuesque Kidman reminded us of style icon Grace Kelly as much as ever.
39:45Number 9, Charlize Theron in Yellow Dior. Charlize Theron looks fabulous in any color.
39:51And she proved that at the 2015 Cannes premiere of Mad Max Fury Road. Theron wore a canary yellow gown
39:58by Christian Dior Haute Couture that featured a strapless bustier design made with a silk crepe.
40:03According to Vogue Paris, seamstresses were specifically flown into Cannes to finish the
40:07gown in the days before the big event. And it was worth it.
40:12Number 8, Frida Pinto in Feathery Michael Kors.
40:16For her appearance at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, Frida Pinto was looking for a one-of-a-kind dress.
40:22And she found it in a Feathery Michael Kors gown in a pale nude shade.
40:26Channeling old Hollywood for the premiere of the film Saint Laurent, she turned heads on the red carpet
40:31with her princess-like A-line dress. Completing the look with a soft wave in her hair and a bold
40:36red lip.
40:39Number 7, Marion Coutillard in White Dior. As one of the faces of the luxury design house,
40:45it made sense that Marion Coutillard chose Dior for this big night.
40:49When debuting her film The Immigrant at Cannes in 2013, Coutillard chose a white Christian Dior gown
40:55with a high neck and long sleeves. And let us tell you, this may be one of those dresses that's
41:00better from the back.
41:03Number 6, Bella Hadid in Red Alexandre Vautier.
41:07This bold look put Bella Hadid on everyone's fashion radar.
41:10Her dramatic crimson gown was designed by Alexandre Vautier and featured a deep neckline,
41:16as well as a nearly waist-high slit, which showed off her toned legs and noticeable poise.
41:21Completing the look with black stiletto sandals, diamond jewels and a chic updo,
41:26Hadid proved that you can stand out while wearing red on the red carpet.
41:31Number 5, Zhang Ziyi in Black and White Stéphane Roland.
41:35For both the opening ceremony and the premiere of Grace of Monaco in 2014,
41:39Zhang Ziyi wore an edgy Stéphane Roland creation.
41:43The gown originally debuted on the Spring-Summer 2014 Couture runway,
41:47and contrasted a laser-cut leather bodice with floating white skirt that featured a dramatic ruffle accent.
41:54Futuristic and edgy on top, ethereal and elegant on the bottom, this gown shows us the best of both worlds.
42:01Number 4, Cara Delevingne in Black Lace Burberry Prorsum.
42:05At the opening ceremony of the 2013 Cannes Event, as well as the premiere of The Great Gatsby,
42:11top model and actress Cara Delevingne wore a floor-length Burberry Porsum gown with a plunging neckline and lace accents.
42:17With her signature smokey eye and glossy red lip adding to the ensemble's drama,
42:22Delevingne topped things off with sparkling Chauffeur diamonds to keep things classic.
42:26Number 3, Eva Longoria in Marquesa gown with train.
42:30Nothing says drama like a show-stopping tool train.
42:33For the premiere of the Wes Anderson film Moonrise Kingdom,
42:37Eva Longoria chose a romantic Marquesa gown in a pale lilac hue.
42:41The dress had a mermaid silhouette that hugged her curves.
42:44With the body of the dress featuring detailed embroidery and beading,
42:47as well as a dramatic cut-out back.
42:50But of course, the piece de resistance was that gorgeous train.
42:54Number 2, Lupita Nyong'o in Green Gucci.
42:57Not everyone could have pulled off that shade of emerald green.
43:00But Nyong'o looked radiant in this Gucci gown at their premiere of Standing Tall.
43:05Made from pleated chiffon, the dress featured a small capelet,
43:09as well as applique hand-painted silk flowers.
43:12The actress added even more color with a bright orchid-colored lip to complete the look.
43:16Also, you should know that this dress was made for twirling.
43:21Number 1, Blake Lively in Blue Atelier Versace.
43:24Blake Lively knows fashion, and she's proved it more than once at Cannes,
43:29having stunned with her white Chanel ensemble in 2014.
43:32Two years later, Lively was pregnant with her second child when she decided to
43:37don an Atelier Versace gown that hugged her curves and showed off her baby bump.
43:41The one-shoulder design and form-fitting beaded blue bodice definitely stood out on the red carpet,
43:46and proved that maternity style can be spectacular.
43:51All right, well that's going to do it for this special look at some of the most unforgettable
43:54looks at the Cannes Film Festival.
43:57Thank you so much for watching.
43:58I've been Matt for Ms. Mojo, and I'll see you next time.
