00:00In Diego, stumbling a little bit as of late after their historic start to this year.
00:05These two teams face off today up in Northern California.
00:08The Giants, a hefty favorite with their ace, Logan Webb, on the bump, minus 174, total of seven.
00:15What is the play for this California and divisional duel?
00:18Yeah, probably should go to the Giants.
00:20It is a heavy number, and I don't really love the Giants' bats all that much.
00:22You take a look at Stephen Colick on the season.
00:24He might say, okay, look at that, an ISO again, so of 086 and a weighted on base percentage of 297.
00:29Let's dig into those numbers.
00:30His first two starts of the season at Pittsburgh and at Colorado.
00:33Now, granted, it was Colorado, but still, you're facing the Colorado bats and the Pittsburgh bats.
00:38How about going 14 and a third innings pitch without giving up an earned run in those first two starts?
00:43Look at the last three starts.
00:45Seattle, five innings, five earned runs.
00:47Toronto, six innings, three earned runs, which wasn't bad, but gave up four total runs in that effort.
00:52Miami, five and a third innings, six earned runs in that.
00:55So he's leaking oil late.
00:56Maybe it's a chance for those bats to get red hot gear for San Francisco.
01:00Heliot Ramos, Matt Chapman, Willie Adamas, guys with high ISO power numbers and weighted on base percentages against right-handed pitching.
01:07Flip it over to the other side.
01:08You know I love Logan Webb.
01:09On the season, last 30 days, everything looks good outside of him being a little bit leaky now to left-handed batters.
01:14Those left-handed batters in the lineup that I anticipated, Louis Arise, Jackson Merrill, Jake Cronenworth, maybe an opportunity.
01:20But for me, I just think the cream rises to the top.
01:22The better pitcher, I'll take him in this game, even with a heavy number, similar to what we were just talking about with the Los Angeles Dodgers going up against the Mets.
01:29Just a better pitcher at home, hard to pass up.
