00:00A chance to speak a little bit at your convention tomorrow, but the thing I would leave it with is we're in fellowship tonight, we're spending time, we're sharing our values, but this is the work that has to be done.
00:14Nobody's riding in to save us. No great orators going to come and make it happen. Nobody's going to have a consultant that gave them just the special word that all these people are going to say, oh, yeah, I'm going to vote for Democrats now because they came up with a special word or a way.
00:30You know, they keep telling us we have to learn how to talk to people. Yeah, you got to go talk to people. That's, you know, that's pretty obvious, but we got to make sure that we're talking and listening at the same time.
00:43So I'm out here to listen to where folks are doing. I came here actually to listen to Wes Moore like all of you are going to. But this is noble work. Nobody's going to do it for us. And there is going to be a time.
00:58These petty, cruel people who are in D.C. right now and in some of the state houses across this country, there will be a reckoning and they will be pushed into the dustbin of history.
01:12And the folks who are here and you may not know their names are going to be the ones that are out there working and get somebody elected who's going to cast a vote to improve somebody else's life, not looking for glory, not looking for a pat on the back, but simply doing the right thing.
01:29And I said this, I don't I don't want to live my life with regret. And that day when we're sitting on that porch in that rocking chair and our grandkids and great grandkids are going to be saying, what in the hell were you people thinking?
01:45Electing that guy. And you're going to be able to say, oh, no, no, no, no. What I was doing is making sure when that guy's gone, things come back better. So South Carolina, let's do that. Thank you for having me and enjoy the rest of your meal.
