00:00Welcome to Pig Sky Doors!
00:07Sarah and Ali were siblings who shared almost everything except birthdays.
00:12Born two years apart, their birthdays were in the same week.
00:16But Sarah's was always a grand event, while Ali's was, well, forgettable.
00:22This year, things were different.
00:24Sarah, now 14, was busy with school, friends,
00:29and her art blog.
00:31She had forgotten one small detail Ali's birthday was tomorrow.
00:34Ali, turning 12, didn't say a word.
00:38He waited patiently, hoping some especially his sister would remember.
00:42But, as the evening before arrived,
00:44Sarah was too busy painting her new design for an online art contest.
00:48The next morning, Ali woke up early.
00:51No messages, no cake, no balloons, just silence.
00:57Still, he got dressed with a brave face, ate cereal, and pretended it didn't matter.
01:04But inside, he was crushed.
01:06Sarah finally looked up from her tablet.
01:08Ali, can you pass me the charger?
01:11Ali stared at her for a moment.
01:13Sure, he said quietly, then walked out of the room.
01:18It hit her then.
01:19She checked the date, gasped, and felt a wave of guilt crash over her.
01:24She had completely forgotten his birthday.
01:26Panic set in.
01:28There was no cake, no gift, no plan, no decorations.
01:33She had less than eight hours to fix it.
01:35She grabbed her bicycle and dashed into town with her savings.
01:39She bought colorful balloons, a small chocolate cake, and a t-shirt printed with a funny dinosaur joke, Ali once told her.
01:46She also made a quick stop at a stationery store and bought a plain white notebook.
01:51Back home, while Ali was out playing football with the neighborhood kids, Sarah got to work.
01:57She blew up the balloons, placed the cake on the table, and wrote on the notebook's first page,
02:03to my little brother, for all the jokes you made me laugh at, for all the games you beat me in, for being the best secret keeper and snack sharer.
02:12This is your book of memories.
02:14I'll fill the first few pages, you fill the rest.
02:17She drew a cartoon of the two of them fighting over the remote, then another one of them eating noodles at midnight.
02:23It wasn't perfect, but it was real.
02:26When Ali walked in, he froze.
02:28Balloons hung across the wall, and the cake had,
02:31Happy Birthday, Dino King, written in shaky icing.
02:35Sarah stood awkwardly with the notebook and gift in hand.
02:39I'm sorry I forgot this morning, but I didn't forget how important you are.
02:44Ali blinked, trying to look cool, but his eyes were glassy.
02:49You remembered, he whispered.
02:52No, she said.
02:55I almost didn't, but I made a promise a long time ago, to never miss your birthday.
03:01And I almost broke it.
03:03I won't again.
03:05Ali hugged her without saying a word.
03:07The rest of the evening was filled with laughter, cake, stories, and Ali reading aloud each page of the notebook.
03:14That night, before sleeping, Sarah added one more note to the notebook.
03:18Birthdays come once a year, but brothers like you once in a lifetime.
03:23Thanks for watching.
