Srinagar, May 30, 2025 (ANI): Meet Syed Fatimah Andrabi from Pampore a Class XI student from Delhi Public School, Srinagar, has earned a remarkable distinction by being selected for the prestigious Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (KL-YES) Program. Originating from Pampore, Fatimah is among only 25 students chosen from across India to participate in this fully funded international exchange initiative. The KL-YES Program sponsored by the U.S. The Department of State offers high school students from countries with significant Muslim populations the opportunity to study in the United States for one academic year. Her selection follows a rigorous multi-stage national screening process that evaluates academic excellence, leadership potential and commitment to cultural exchange. As a 100% scholarship recipient she will embark on her U.S. journey in August 2025. During her year abroad she will live with an American host family and attend a local high school. More than just a student exchange participant, Fatimah will serve as a Youth Ambassador representing not only Delhi Public School Srinagar but also the broader Kashmiri community and India at large. Her role will involve promoting mutual understanding between cultures breaking down stereotypes and building bridges between diverse communities.Through educational and cultural immersion she will engage with peers, participate in community service and contribute meaningfully to intercultural dialogue. Her selection marks a moment of celebration not just for her family and school but also for Kashmir. At a time when global connections are more important than ever her journey embodies the power of youth exchange in shaping a more understanding and interconnected world.

01:56Basically, the benefits is a lot. They are beyond words, because it covers all of my expenses as it is the 100% scholarship,

02:08And, beyond that, the real gain is the personal growth.
02:12The things I will learn from there, from their culture.
02:15And I will be representing our own culture proudly as well.

02:24My preparation, basically, it was a mix of dedication and passion.
