00:30Bonjour, Holger, congratulations.
00:48Can you tell us what happened with the towel fan next to your box?
00:53I was on my towel and I put my towel like this down in the box and the guy was getting aggressive with me.
01:01He reached out for me and I thought this was very strange because I didn't do anything against him
01:04and he should not interact with the player on the court.
01:07It's a bit embarrassing, I think.
01:09So I told the supervisor that I would prefer him not being there because it was a bit uncomfortable.
01:15And they said they're going to check the video and I guess if it was true what I said they were going to get him away.
01:21So yeah, I guess they checked and I didn't see him for the rest of the match.
01:24So that was good because it's not a nice feeling when the crowd is getting aggressive with you
01:29when I basically did nothing.
01:31I'm allowed to, you know, hit the towel into my towel box.
01:34I didn't do anything against him.
01:39Just to follow up on that, was he getting aggressive with you for a particular reason that you knew about?
01:43And also, you went like this to the umpire, three I think.
01:49Three?
01:50You made a gesture when you were talking to the umpire shortly.
01:54I know, I just said, I was just, you know, because it happened at, I don't know, 5-4 when I was serving for the third set.
02:02And we played three more games and nothing really happened.
02:05I asked to get him removed three times, so that's probably why I did it.
02:09But yeah, you know, again, I think maybe he got annoyed that I threw the towel in my towel box.
02:16But, you know, I can do whatever I want to with my towel box, you know, as long as I'm, you know, keeping respect for everyone,
02:21which I believe that I did, and the umpire believed so, because I didn't get any warning.
02:25So, I think, you know, a guy like that, it should not be about him.
02:30You know, we're here to perform, we're here to play, and they should try to respect it as much as possible.
02:34And I think, you know, I was actually very happy about the rest of the crowd.
02:40I think they were very, you know, respectful.
02:42I think, obviously, when it's, you know, like 5-4, 10th moment, they were supporting him a lot, but it's normal.
02:47And he actually said, like, sorry for the crowd after the match when we shook the hand.
02:51And I said, don't worry, I don't think it was anything crazy.
02:54So, yeah, just happy to win.
03:00Ciao.
03:01Ciao.
03:02Well done.
03:03Thank you.
03:04It is already the third time that you lose the first set in this tournament, correct?
03:10No.
03:11No?
03:12Second.
03:13Well, Rune, 6-7 against Bautista.
03:17Try to get your facts better, man.
03:19Okay.
03:20Then, okay.
03:21Second.
03:22All right, sorry.
03:23So, second time.
03:24Musetti said he also has lost first set today, and he said he cannot afford against you to give a set of advantage to his opponent.
03:34I'd like to know why it's difficult sometimes to play the first set.
03:42Because there are many players.
03:43In Monte Carlo, Musetti lost every time the first set, and then he went to the final.
03:48So, is it more difficult to concentrate at the beginning, or it depends on the wind, on the weather, on the opponent that you don't know?
03:57What is the reason?
03:58Yeah, I think that today, my first set, I was actually serving well, and I was doing one bad service game on the wrong moment, and that's what really made the difference.
04:08So, I don't think I played bad in the first set today, and, you know, again, we all, you know, all players, we can't really afford, you know, to give, you know, games like this away.
04:21I mean, I almost could have lost today, probably because of that as well.
04:24So, I think, again, as he said, he can't afford to give me the first set, and the same me, I can't afford to give him the first set like this.
04:32So, I think, looking forward to that match, it's going to be, hopefully, a great battle.
04:37He's in great form, so I'm looking forward, yeah.
04:40Holger, congrats.
04:42Thank you.
04:43Could you take us through this special shot, one of the best shots of the tournament?
04:48Of the year.
04:49Of the year, okay.
04:50Okay.
04:51Of the century, maybe.
04:52Yeah.
04:53Yeah.
04:54I was going to say, actually.
04:55How does it work, like mentally and physically, your arm, your wrist, how is it possible?
05:02Very talented.
05:03No, I'm joking, but it was, I think he made the drop shot, and I went up, and I hit a little bit lucky shot on the net court, and he hit actually quite ridiculous shot cross court.
05:14And I'm fast, so I went there, and I thought, okay, there was an opportunity to play around the net.
05:20And actually, once you are there, it's not the most difficult shot, because you can hit it like really low.
05:25It's like, but it was more that I read it, and I found the right position to hit it, but it was quite amazing.
05:32I saw one million clips of it already, and it looks quite cool, so I'm very happy to hit a shot like that.
05:39Last one.
05:40Yeah.
05:41Holger, do you experience losing the first set differently than you used to?
05:48And also, you're getting the assignments on the big court two days in a row now.
05:53Yeah.
05:54It wasn't long ago you were drawing a map to your court at the US Open.
05:57It must feel good as well.
05:59Yeah, yeah.
06:00Again, as I said after the first match, I don't think the French Open did anything wrong with putting me there on the first day.
06:07I think, again, it was more the US Open who definitely did something wrong.
06:11But, yeah, I'm very happy and privileged to be able to play two matches in a row on Philippe Sartre.
06:18It's a beautiful court.
06:20It's definitely, I've said it many times, the best clay court in the world by miles so far.
06:25So, yeah, it was beautiful and a very hot day.
06:30Not so much wind, and I definitely felt the heat, yeah.
06:35Thank you.
