00:17confirming the patients showed significant improvement using medical cannabis without any severe side effects.
00:23The findings also reported a significantly reduced rate of their depression in regards to severity.
00:30The researchers wrote,
00:31Patients reported a clinically significant reduction of depression severity.
00:36Medical cannabis was well tolerated and dropout rate was comparable to those in clinical trials of antidepressant medication.
00:43Forbes reports depression is often treated with antidepressants and mood stabilizers.
00:48And with further research, perhaps medical cannabis could be an alternative treatment for chronic depression.
