It's recess time for Parliament. But that doesn't mean MPs are having a holiday - far from it, as Farnham & Bordon MP Greg Stafford explains.
Transcript
00:00This week in Parliament, it's recess, and I absolutely love recess, but not for the
00:04reasons you might think, because as the Member of Parliament, I don't just put my feet up
00:08during recess. I'm out here in the constituency, going to local events, talking to local people,
00:13and making sure that there are things that you can talk to me about in the constituency.
00:18If you don't know how it works, generally I spend Monday through Thursday in Parliament,
00:23raising questions with ministers, talking to key charitable and industry sectors,
00:29and making sure that your voice is heard by the Government. But in recess, it means that I can
00:34spend so much more time here in our wonderful constituency, talking to local people, going
00:39to local events. So if you'd like me to come to see something that your group is doing, or your
00:43business is doing, or even if you just want to talk to me about something personal, I'm here to help
00:49and serve you. So do get in touch, and I'd love to see you this recess and every recess in the future.
