00:00Over 600 hours dedicated by more than 35 of our wonderful volunteers from Port Macquarie.
00:20It's just a huge effort. Many of our volunteers were personally affected by the flood event,
00:25so to give their time to the community, put themselves second and support their local members of the community was just outstanding.
00:34As an agency, we've spent a lot of time over the last two years just growing our capability in flood response.
00:40Through the development of our state operations group, it's really enhanced our capability to support the whole government response to flood events.
00:47We've seen it in this recent event, we saw it in Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
00:51It's just really wonderful to see how much we've grown as an agency, but also the effort that's gone into this from all of our volunteers.
00:59Monday week, we had reports that we were going to be getting heavy.
01:05Monday week, we had reports that we were going to be getting heavy.
01:10Monday rain, when it did start rain here in Port Macquarie.
01:13On Wednesday, our SOG team were activated and we become part of the combat agency in the Mid-North Coast and Port Macquarie area.
01:24I'm very proud of the team. They've done 620 hours out on the water.
01:29We also had the LOs over at the EOC liaison.
01:32And not only that, the fundraising team were also committed to keeping our members fed and morale high.
01:39I'm very proud of the team.
01:42We worked 24-7 throughout the whole duration, right up to the recovery stage.
01:48There were a lot of hours put in.
01:50People just kept coming forward, putting their hand up to do more and more and more.
01:53As it is, every mission that we were tasked, we completed and succeeded and no lies for loss.
01:59So we're very proud of what we've done.
