00:00it's yet again another wet pattern across parts of the northeast here over the coming days we've

00:09had a lot of those this spring it was accurately highlighted before ahead of other sources by

00:15AccuWeather's expert long-range team we knew there'd be lots of setbacks as we head through

00:20the headed through the months of April and May and that's certainly been the case let's show you

00:24how to best track that the wet weather here over the coming days and the dull weather

00:29in the AccuWeather free app and I'm going to show we've got a lot of tools as you know to

00:33help you optimize your health safety and comfort one of the tools I want to talk about today is

00:38the AccuLumen brightness index you can get that by going down to the daily tab on the bottom of the

00:44app and then tapping on any day so we're going to go over to Thursday here in New York City

00:49by way of example and notice the AccuWeather AccuLumen brightness index a one dark on the scale

00:56which this is a very unique tool because it's a more descriptive and better way of

01:01characterizing the brightness of the day it's measured on the scale from one to ten

01:05where dark where one is a gray dark and dismal day and ten is a very bright day with blue skies no

01:12clouds no pollution and a high level of glare at sunrise and sunset and of course obviously with all the clouds

01:19and the rain that we're going to be dealing with into the day on Thursday that's a one I'll tap here over to

01:26Friday and notice it's a two dark on the scale Saturday four dull so a bit of improvement and then by Sunday

01:34times of clouds and sunshine and we get to a seven on the AccuLumen brightness index this is just another one
