“This is the victory of public…” Allahabad HC Bar chief hails center’s move against Justice Varma

Prayagraj (UP) May 28, 2025 (ANI): President of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association, Anil Tiwari, welcomed the government's reported move to impeach Justice Yashwant Varma over alleged cash recovery, calling it a victory for public trust in the judiciary. He emphasized that the motion shows the people’s voice is being heard and urged all political parties to support the impeachment.On reports of the government to move an impeachment motion against Justice Yashwant Varma over the alleged recovery of money from his residence, Anil Tiwari, Allahabad High Court Bar Association President, said, "...This is the victory of the public at large as the trust of public is the foundation of the power of Judiciary...Because of this motion, the public will feel that the former CJI and the government have heard their voice...It is a step towards the victory of the public and the cause...I appeal to all the political parties to vote in favour of the impeachment..."
