00:22 A division bench headed by Justice MM Srivastava and Justice Ashutosh Kumar heard the matter
00:27 on Saturday and issued the notice to Gailur, directing him to respond within three weeks.
00:32 During an interview with reporters in Jaipur on Wednesday, Gailur remarked, "There appears
00:36 to be widespread corruption in the judiciary today.
00:39 I have heard allegations that some lawyers draft judgments themselves, which are then
00:43 delivered verbatim."
00:44 However, in the wake of criticism, the Chief Minister subsequently clarified that his earlier
00:49 statement did not reflect his personal opinion.
00:52 He emphasized his consistent respect for and trust in the judiciary.
00:55 In protest against the Chief Minister's comments, thousands of advocates in Jodhpur boycotted
00:59 their work in both the High Court and the Lower Court on Friday.
