It's judgment day for the "Grandpa Robbers" gang of suspects accused of stealing $10 million worth of jewelry from a tied-up Kim Kardashian in Paris in 2016 ... 10 defendants received their verdicts Friday.

00:00Just moments ago, the verdict came in in Paris for the defendants in the Kim K jewelry heist.

00:07It sounds like we were just told back there most of them were found guilty.

00:12We do have an update from Paris.

00:15These details are coming in right now.

00:17Essentially, the ringleader has been convicted as well as seven others.

00:23Two people have been acquitted.

00:25This is the October 2016 jewelry heist in which Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel room.

00:34A $10 million worth of jewelry was taken.

00:37None of that jewelry has ever been recovered other than one piece of a necklace that was found on a Paris street the day of.

00:45Aside from that, everything else is still missing.

00:48I'm interested in who are the two people that were acquitted?

00:51We don't know who was acquitted just yet.

00:54There are some minor characters.

00:56The ringleader himself has been convicted.

01:02This man is actually, he's deaf, and he's been testifying by handwritten notes.

01:08He wrote a note to Kim during her testimony apologizing.

01:14He did that last week when she was actually in court in Paris.

01:17He did it again today, further apologized.

01:21It should be noted Kim did forgive him in court last week.

01:24Although she said she's forever traumatized by the situation.

01:36We're still waiting on the whole breakdown of what that's happening.

01:58They've been called the grandpa robbers in the press over in France, because most of them

02:02are in their 60s and 70s.

02:04I think the youngest guy is 35.

02:06Somebody else is in their 40s, and everybody else is in advanced age.

02:11Which is really interesting.

02:12I wonder what the judge does in terms of sentencing, because obviously they could sentence him effectively

02:17to the rest of their life.

02:18Do they do that?

02:20You know, if they're ill, do they not do that?

02:22I think 10 years was the maximum.

02:25A couple of the other possible sentences are between 6 and 8, so we're still finding out

02:30Are you telling me 10 years for kidnapping and robbery?

02:34I mean, kidnapping at gunpoint and robbery at gunpoint, that's a serious crime.

02:39No, you're saying that 10 years in this country, it would be a lot longer.

02:43You could get life sentences here are much more severe than the rest of the world.

02:50So we're just finding out right now, the ringleader got a sentence of 8 years in prison with 5 years

02:585 years are suspended.

02:595 years have been suspended, so it's still kind of unclear, but it sounds like the court

03:04took that into consideration, his old age and his infirmity.
