00:11Come on.
00:12Head to toe.
00:13I've never worked with denim.
00:15You've never worked with denim ever?

01:13and a career-changing mentorship
01:15with the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
01:18This is Project Runway All Stars.
01:26Woo!
01:28Look at the redemption!
01:30I never in my life thought that Christian
01:33is going to use this save on me.
01:35Good morning, good morning.
01:37I was, like, ready to, you know,
01:39embrace the moment and just move on.
01:41The fact that Christian has given me
01:43this boost of validation and admiration
01:45for my work to give me a second chance
01:47gives me confidence,
01:48and I need that right now
01:50because I haven't felt that from the judges so far.
01:53Ooh, the vlog is hot!
01:56Christian sent us a text.
01:58Oh, my goodness.
02:00What did he say?
02:01All right, he says,
02:02Good morning, designers.
02:03Meet me at the Greenpoint Pier
02:05to find out about your next challenge.
02:12Hi.
02:13Hi, Christian.
02:14Isn't it gorgeous out?
02:16Yes.
02:17It's gorgeous.
02:18Your next challenge
02:19is one that all designers have to go through
02:22to make it to the finale.
02:24It's a Project Runway Darling
02:27The Real Client Challenge.
02:29Yay!
02:31I love a real client.
02:33Got it.
02:34That was the challenge I left from last season.
02:36Maybe it's because I didn't watch Real Housewives before.
02:39So for the bottom,
02:40this is definitely giving me, like, a grandma vibe.
02:43Anna, your look was not appropriate.
02:45You are out.
02:47But in the real life,
02:48there's no problem for me to make an outfit
02:51to make my clients happy.
02:53Are you ready to meet your clients?
02:55Yes!
02:56All right.
02:57Here they come.
02:58Oh, my gosh, is that Diddy?
03:00Oh, my gosh.
03:02I wonder who.
03:05Yay!
03:08The captains and crew of Below Deck.
03:13This is amazing.
03:15What was that?
03:16You've never seen the show Below Deck?
03:17Anna, you really got to get out more.
03:19We are talking about this show
03:21about a group of people
03:23that host different parties
03:25on the very super mega yacht.
03:28And then they go out
03:29and they turn the whole town upside down.
03:31Designers, please meet the OG of Below Deck,
03:35the stud-of-the-sea Captain Lee.
03:38Yay!
03:40Designers, as you can see,
03:42our formal uniforms need a serious update.
03:46I mean, it's boring AF.
03:48Yay!
03:49So take the 1800s style and bring it current.
03:53Yes.
03:54A little less Lee and a little more Z.
03:58Designers, you heard the captain.
04:00The formal uniforms need rescuing.
04:03They are all function, but no fashion.
04:06Your challenge, reinvent the formal
04:09white epaulette and black epaulette uniform
04:12for your Below Deck client.
04:14Yay!
04:15You have two basic colors to work with,
04:18black and white,
04:19but when it comes to trim, go crazy.
04:23And the epaulettes have to be there.
04:26All right, designers,
04:27do you guys want to see who you're working with?
04:29Yes!
04:30All right, Karasam, we'll start with you.
04:32You have the honor of working with Z.
04:35Z!
04:36Oh, hi, Z!
04:37All right, Bishme.
04:38You get Aisha to work with.
04:40Yay!
04:41Hi!
04:42Next up, Rami.
04:43Courtney.
04:44Yay!
04:45Courtney, nice meeting you.
04:46All right, Kato.
04:48You got Daisy.
04:49That was awesome.
04:50We made a connection.
04:51Rajay.
04:52Sandy.
04:53Yay!
04:56Brittany, you have Colin.
04:58Colin.
04:59Yay!
05:01Anna.
05:02You get Jason.
05:04Yay!
05:05And last but not least, that means Laurence.
05:08Yay!
05:09Designers, guess what?
05:12This is a two-day challenge.
05:14Yay!
05:16All right, designers,
05:17so you have 40 minutes now
05:18to brainstorm with your clients.
05:20I already got ideas.
05:21And remember,
05:23these are your clients.
05:24Work with them, listen to them,
05:26but don't lose yourself.
05:27Yay!
05:28Goodbye.
05:29Never in my life have I thought
05:31that I'd be meeting the crew of Below Deck
05:33even though I've watched them on TV before,
05:35let alone be designing something for Courtney,
05:37so I'm secretly kind of excited about this one.
05:41Do you like skirts?
05:42Do you like...
05:43Yes.
05:44Okay.
05:45We are over this way.
05:48I killed the last challenge.
05:50Did you?
05:52Tell me everything.
05:53Like, tell me everything about, like, what you do,
05:55your job description.
05:56Yeah, so this is to greet the guests.
05:58We do a lot of getting luggage on and off the boat
06:00for the guests.
06:01So it's an active...
06:02Yes, it's quite physical.
06:04So Z, let's just paint the picture of the moment.
06:07We can do anything we want.
06:09I like patterns.
06:10Yeah.
06:11A little bit flamboyant.
06:12Yeah, I love that.
06:13Like, hey, I'm here.
06:14Great.
06:15I'm thinking if we did a Shaw collar.
06:17I was an Air Force brat,
06:18so we traveled the world,
06:20lived in Germany, lived in the Philippines.
06:22My dad always went to these beautiful military balls
06:26in his dress uniform.
06:28I like that.
06:29You like that?
06:30So tell me what you're looking for.
06:33I'm the chief engineer on the boat.
06:35Oh, damn.
06:36So I'm in and out of the engine room,
06:37so black's good if I spill some, like, oil on myself.
06:39Versatility is really important as well.
06:41Maybe a few pockets or something
06:43that we can keep whatever in.
06:45If you trust me, I'll take care of you.
06:47I 100% trust you.
06:48Don't look at the sketch.
06:49What's your rank?
06:50I'm a chief officer.
06:51Oh.
06:52Watch the sail.
06:53Make sure that it goes up into the pre-feeder.
06:55So it has to be very mobile.
06:57We're always leaning down, picking up stuff.
06:59So what do you guys carry around?
07:00Like, you have a radio?
07:01Just a radio, yeah.
07:02That's what we carry around.
07:03And you clip it?
07:04Yeah, I just clip it onto the bow normally.
07:06For sure.
07:07And I just think, I don't know, man.
07:08I just think a jumpsuit would be dope.
07:09I like the sound of that, yes.
07:15So what do you like and what are you looking for?
07:17So I'm the chief stew.
07:18So basically, I'm in charge of the interior
07:20and, like, all guest relations.
07:22So one thing that I would really like
07:24is somewhere where I can kind of hide a phone.
07:26Because now that I'm the chief stew,
07:28I'm always on the phone messaging provisioners.
07:30I want to look professional, but I also want something
07:33that will show off the female form.
07:35This is not looking like a good tip.
07:39So now you tell me kind of what you like.
07:41Something definitely kind of flattering.
07:43Like, I think a lot of the uniforms for women are,
07:45they're not...
07:46They're boxy.
07:47Yeah.
07:48Yeah, I like the idea.
07:49You have a great figure,
07:50so just showing off your waist a little bit more
07:52and maybe accentuating it.
07:53I would like to know your daily activities.
07:56I'm pretty active as a captain,
07:58so I'm out and about with the crew.
08:00You need loose, light material.
08:03Okay, loose.
08:04Do you have to have two pieces,
08:06or you can have, like, one piece, like...
08:08Yeah, we could have a one piece.
08:10And I live in Bali now, so...
08:12I think we should.
08:13I like bling.
08:15I would change where you wear a belt,
08:17because I like bling on the belt.
08:19Right off the bat, Captain Cindy is saying
08:23she wants to add bling.
08:26So I was thinking maybe on one of the sleeves,
08:29we build this stripe going all the way up here,
08:32and then it gets smaller here,
08:33and then you get to the collar,
08:35and then recreate that.
08:36I want to feel like a queen.
08:37Like, that's how we bring in the bling.
08:39He's going to go Brian.
08:40You ain't going to tell me?
08:41No!
08:43I'm going to close my book just in case.
08:45I haven't won anything yet,
08:47so I really want this so bad to prove to myself
08:50I can win this grand prize.
08:52We're competing now, so I got to make sure.
08:54Oh, we're competing now?
08:55Oh, okay.
08:56That's it, all right.
08:57Challenge accepted.
08:58Challenge.
09:07Hi, guys.
09:08How were the consultations?
09:10Great.
09:11Good?
09:12Yeah, awesome.
09:13Remember, functional...
09:15Functional.
09:16...but fashionable.
09:17You guys have $400, 30 minutes to shop.
09:20All right, go.
09:26I need this in, like, black.
09:28For Aisha, I am creating a white-collar zip-up shirt
09:32paired with a black skort.
09:34She told me that she's always sweating.
09:36She does not want to be hot above or below deck.
09:40I have this a-ha moment for me to use neoprene.
09:45Do you have something matched to this black?
09:47Captain Jason lives in Bali, Indonesia,
09:50so I'm going to make a kimono-inspired jumpsuit.
09:5415 minutes, you guys.
09:56This is not a normal shopping trip.
09:58I think that's it.
09:59Leather? Is leather functional on the boat?
10:04He needs a jacket when he gets out and take the clients out.
10:06But a leather jacket.
10:08Perforated.
10:10Okay.
10:12Here's what I'm creating for Z.
10:14He needs to be able to move,
10:15but he really wants to make a statement.
10:18Tracksuit meets tuxedo.
10:20It is a track-see-doh.
10:23Track-see-doh.
10:24Attention, all shoppers.
10:25That is time.
10:26Please be at the register right now to sign this.
10:30Thank you, Moon!
10:31Bye!
10:32Thank you!
10:33Ugh!
10:34I'm not getting paid enough.
10:36It's quiet.
10:39Oh, my God!
10:42I'm good at what I do,
10:43and I've been working non-stop, different clients.
10:46Some of the great things that happened over the year,
10:49I opened my very own atelier and showroom in Philadelphia.
10:53Come and visit.
10:54Make an appointment.
10:55Don't just show up.
10:56Cindy, she wanted rhinestones everywhere.
10:59Not happening here.
11:01But there are other ways we can play around with the bling.
11:04I'm gonna jump ship from that.
11:06A double-breasted suit with a double lapel at the waist.
11:10Cigarette pants with some pockets.
11:12And I play around with the epaulette with fabric
11:16that is black and white to create some sort of patchwork.
11:20I think I just want Colin to feel super confident.
11:23Engineers work below deck, quite literally.
11:26And then he's up at the top greeting guests,
11:28so it has to be something that's very versatile.
11:31I want to do a classic black button-up shirt.
11:33This utilitarian pocket.
11:35Okay, I don't think so.
11:36Mm-hmm.
11:37My client, Gary, is a first officer on this deck,
11:40and he wanted something flexible, light, washable.
11:45We came up with a jumpsuit and a jacket.
11:48It's a hybrid leather mixed with wool.
11:51What is this for?
11:53A jacket.
11:54Ooh.
11:55Courtney is my client.
11:56Her position is deckhand, which is active,
11:59so it's important that she is comfortable,
12:01but at the same time that she's also fashionable.
12:04I'm thinking for a start as a pleated mini dress
12:07with shorts built in and a windbreaker type of jacket.
12:1215 minutes left.
12:13Whoa!
12:15Jesus.
12:20By the end of workday, there's still a lot of work to be done.
12:23Let's go, let's go, babies.
12:25I'm ready.
12:26All right, let's do it.
12:27I feel extra pressure now that I've been saved,
12:30and it would suck to be on the bottom again.
12:35So yesterday I was watching a video called Below Deck,
12:37but it wasn't like with boats and stuff.
12:39Okay.
12:40Just changed to Ian Deck.
12:42I'm extremely nervous.
12:44The real client challenge involves real-life people.
12:47You don't want to add all of yourself into it,
12:50and you don't want it to be all of your client.
12:52You just want to make sure I meet somewhere in the middle.
12:55She's falling off the starboard end.
12:58Hi, everybody.
12:59Hi, Justin.
13:00Is it smooth sailing in here?
13:02I don't know if it's smooth, but we're sailing.
13:04All right, I'm coming to see you guys.
13:06Rami.
13:07Hi.
13:08You're here.
13:09I'm here thanks to you.
13:11I really appreciate what you did.
13:12I just want you to know it was very heartwarming.
13:14Yeah.
13:15What a moment.
13:16It was heavy.
13:17It was very emotional, but also look how fabulous.
13:19See?
13:20It's what you needed.
13:22So Courtney, she's from Wales.
13:23She greets the guests usually.
13:25She also handles the ropes.
13:27She has to wear shorts under her skirt.
13:29It's a dress, but it's shorts in the back.
13:32Got it.
13:33I mean, the details are so amazing.
13:35Like this, the ventilation, all of the binding.
13:38The only thing I would think is that it could still be separate.
13:43A dress is a little restrictive.
13:46It is something that has to be functional and versatile as well for her.
13:50Yeah.
13:51I'm excited.
13:52All right, Bishme.
13:54Hello.
13:55This is your client.
13:56Yeah, Aisha.
13:57She's always on her phone messaging people before they come in.
14:00So I thought it'd be smooth to add an insert pocket for her so she can hide her phone.
14:04Yeah.
14:05And as far as the epaulettes, I did a little dedication to the stripes,
14:09using two going down and one going across.
14:12I mean, I love it as a fashion moment, but I think functionality-wise,
14:16it might be a little revealing.
14:18She said she like it.
14:19That's how she get her tips.
14:20If she's into it, go for it.
14:23Good plan.
14:24See you soon.
14:25See you soon.
14:26See you soon.
14:27Goodbye.
14:28Bye.
14:29Bye, Proje.
14:30So I have Captain Sandy.
14:31Oh, Captain Sandy.
14:32She literally wanted me to, like, bedazzle.
14:34She wanted something fun.
14:35Really?
14:36Oh, yes.
14:37What I wanted to do is to draw in the epaulette stripes down.
14:41It's a lot of look, and you're taking a big risk here.
14:44I am.
14:45But it might pay off.
14:49Hi.
14:50Anna, you need to really explain this to me.
14:53Who do you have?
14:54Jason.
14:55So he's wearing a kimono jumpsuit while being a captain on a boat.
15:00Yes.
15:01We are getting the inspiration from the Asian background because he's living in Bali.
15:07Oh, okay.
15:08So that's why.
15:09It is not easy to get a chance to show your Asian background and Asian references,
15:14and I know I'm taking a huge risk.
15:17I'm nervous because that's a big decision.
15:21Uh-huh.
15:22Very different than everyone else.
15:23Right.
15:24But it better be finished perfectly.
15:26Okay.
15:27Good luck.
15:30All right, designers.
15:31Models will be here.
15:32Models.
15:33Your clients.
15:34Clients.
15:35Your clients will be here.
15:37Great.
15:38Oh, perfect.
15:3928 minutes till clients come in.
15:41Over and out.
15:43Over.
15:44Tell Roger to mind his business.
15:46Over and out.
15:48Hi, everybody.
15:49Hey.
15:50Hi.
15:51Thanks for coming.
15:52Ready for your below deckers?
15:53Yeah.
15:54Yeah.
15:55Bring them in.
15:56Here they come.
15:57Anchors away.
15:58Wow.
15:59Good to see you.
16:00How are you?
16:01Do you want to go in the restroom?
16:02I'm not.
16:03I can just take it off, yeah?
16:04Okay, yeah.
16:05Sure.
16:06I'm being professional.
16:07So, yes, you can take it off here.
16:08All right.
16:17How are you?
16:18Good.
16:19Cute.
16:20It's cute.
16:21Do you like the color choice?
16:22Yeah.
16:23Is that the short length?
16:25We're going to see in a sec.
16:27Uh-huh.
16:28It's kind of short.
16:29It's pretty short.
16:30It's kind of short.
16:31It's very cool.
16:32I love this.
16:33Oh, yeah.
16:34Yeah, right?
16:35Right?
16:36Yeah, I think so.
16:37That's totally your style.
16:38It is my style.
16:39You know me, eh?
16:40Yeah.
16:41Isn't that cool?
16:42It is, Susie.
16:43He looks like a gladiator from behind.
16:45And he wears that hat.
16:46It just reminds me of when he did those stripteases on the boats for the Garcia.
16:51It's very you.
16:52Spicy, but with flavor.
16:54I love a fitting.
16:56How are you feeling so far?
16:58Me? Good.
16:59Yeah?
17:00Yeah, I'm feeling confident.
17:01Looks cool.
17:02Jacket looks amazing.
17:03Amazing.
17:04This fits so good.
17:05You would wear that?
17:06I would wear that.
17:07For our line of work, it's perfect.
17:08Yeah, it's super rad.
17:09It's just this size is driving me crazy because it's not done.
17:11Uh-oh.
17:12This is it.
17:14It fits weird.
17:15I never make menswear in my everyday life.
17:19During my season, I had a male model in a tuxedo challenge.
17:23I blew it.
17:25You are out.
17:26But Christian was there to save me.
17:29You're going to have to endure this a little bit longer.
17:32I need something.
17:34I'm terrified.
17:43You're going to open the collar like this?
17:44I'll just recut the collar to be a standard collar.
17:47Okay.
17:48You're going to get there.
17:49Yeah, of course I am.
17:50I know.
17:51Oh, my gosh.
17:53I really, really like this.
17:56This is so flattering.
17:57Isn't it?
17:58You don't mind all that leg out?
17:59No, I want it.
18:00You want it?
18:01I'm trying to make tips.
18:02Maybe there's one other unexpected thing.
18:05Something.
18:06Like extra something?
18:07Yeah.
18:08Yeah, all white is cool.
18:09Which one would you prefer me to wear?
18:10I kind of like those.
18:11Yeah, me too.
18:13I think that this length here for the shorts is good.
18:16See, it's still long enough.
18:18Yeah, I like that.
18:19Is this a shirt or a jacket?
18:21This is a jacket.
18:22There's a shirt that goes under it.
18:23It is.
18:24Practical.
18:25It's practical.
18:26It's freaking easy to take off.
18:27Freaking easy.
18:28Oh, snap.
18:29Oh, these are hard to walk in.
18:31I think this will be really, really cool.
18:33Sometimes I do come out and serve a plate of food or something.
18:36Yeah, exactly.
18:37You never help me.
18:38I'm always up there.
18:41Yeah, exactly.
18:42Anna's from China.
18:44I live in the Philippines and in Asia,
18:46so I thought something a little bit Asian.
18:48I totally love that.
18:50Outside the box.
18:51Outside the box.
18:52Yeah, it's going to be a last minute scramble.
18:54It always is.
18:55All right, designers.
18:56That's time.
18:57Say goodbye to your clients.
18:59I hear that they want you guys to have a drink with them later.
19:03Yeah.
19:04Yay!
19:05So that can be fun.
19:06But don't get wild.
19:07No.
19:08No.
19:09She's not like someone hung over.
19:11She doesn't.
19:12We're going to be OK.
19:17There's a lot to do.
19:18Bye.
19:19Oh, hell.
19:23I really thought this was going to be stressful.
19:25People are going to be crying, like the Real Housewives.
19:29Is that what happened on the Real Housewives?
19:31Oh, honey.
19:32Really?
19:33They was crying all over these hallways.
19:35Remember I said how I have new boobies and a new butt,
19:38so accentuate those parts.
19:39You made the girl cry twice?
19:42Housewife making people cry.
19:44Why?
19:45Because they didn't like their shit.
19:4730 minutes.
19:52All right.
19:53You better put an anchor on the back.
19:54I'm crying.
19:57Five minutes left.
19:58Five, five, five.
20:05Hey, y'all.
20:06It's time.
20:07It's time.
20:08Let's get some drinks.
20:10Let's get out of here.
20:19I made a jacket to go with the look.
20:22Here's to rocking the boat tomorrow.
20:26Our hands on deck.
20:27Below the deck.
20:31Hey, get out, Rami.
20:33Get out, Rami.
20:34Oh, do you want a tequila shot or a soda?
20:37This competition is very stressful.
20:39I'm not going into a bar to do my homework.
20:42I'm going to a bar for shots.
20:46Can we get two more?
20:50Yes.
20:53Show them how it's done.
20:55When does the drag show start?
20:58Just kidding.
20:59If I drink, I'm just have fun, right?
21:03No one's looking.
21:04No one's looking.
21:05It's not a kitchen like that.
21:07Bad divorce for two days.
21:09I want to party with you more.
21:10Okay, shall we?
21:11Yeah, we have to.
21:12Go get Anna.
21:13Not me.
21:14I already told y'all.
21:19See you tomorrow.
21:20Have a good party.
21:21Yeah, yeah.
21:22Yeah, yeah.
21:23That was so fun.
21:29Runway day.
21:33What a night.
21:34Four shots, no headache.
21:36Oh, my God.
21:37I'm so glad I woke up sober.
21:39No crash on Gary.
21:40No drama.
21:41No.
21:42Let's shine on them hoes.
21:44Okay.
21:48Yeah, it's okay.
21:49Yay.
21:50Two hours before Runway,
21:51we were literally rushing and getting stuff done.
21:53But I do think I am taking a huge risk with this look
21:58because the print may not translate so well.
22:01That's kind of why I'm freaking out.
22:05Hi, designers.
22:06Hi.
22:07Good morning.
22:08Good morning.
22:09Everyone ready to set sail?
22:10Yes.
22:11All right, who wants their client?
22:12Me.
22:13Me.
22:14All right, here they come.
22:17Hi, y'all.
22:25How's the time frame going?
22:27How's the time frame?
22:28It's going to go very quick.
22:30Cool, cool.
22:35And there's pockets.
22:37Oh, sh-t.
22:38See?
22:39They're looking good.
22:40Look, I actually really like this.
22:43This look from Karasun is definitely not giving uniform.
22:46Karasun is always over the top.
22:50Designers, when you're ready,
22:51take your models to the makeup studio
22:53and the Tresemme hair salon.
22:57I just want a clean pony ending right here.
23:01I look great.
23:02Exactly.
23:04A classic red, nice matte top.
23:07I love it.
23:08Thank you very much.
23:09Perfect, thank you.
23:10Hey, designers.
23:12Y'all got 30 minutes.
23:16You doing okay?
23:17Not really.
23:18No?
23:19No.
23:20You're going to make it.
23:21I think so.
23:22You're going to be fine.
23:23So snaps are kind of like one of my signature hardwares,
23:25but getting these snaps on is so complicated.
23:28I can sew one for you.
23:30So this is okay?
23:31Just put it right here?
23:32That's fine.
23:33Bishme's literally taking time out of his work time.
23:36Honestly, I have no words.
23:37Bishme, you're such a good little brother.
23:39That's very sweet of you.
23:41Be careful.
23:42Okay, let's go, Jason.
23:46Oh, that's dope.
23:47Yeah.
23:48Roger, hurry up.
23:50I think it fits better with this top.
23:51Yeah, I think so.
23:53I'm really excited about this one.
23:55I think this is going to be a really good redemption moment.
23:57Also, I'm excited.
23:59So let's see what the judges say.
24:01One minute left.
24:03It's almost run race time.
24:05Seconds away.
24:08That's time.
24:09Let's go to last look.
24:13I see a lot of threads.
24:15You look great.
24:16He looks so handsome.
24:17I can definitely see this captain in Bali.
24:21Woo!
24:22All right, designers, that's time.
24:24It's going to be a gorgeous show.
24:27Anchors away.
24:32Oh, my God!
24:35Oh, my God.
24:36Welcome back.
24:37Hi!
24:38Don't leave us again.
24:40I missed you so much.
24:41And I was on the phone with all of them, like, what happened?
24:44And Rami!
24:46Yay!
24:47Woo!
24:51All right, you guys.
24:52I am so excited to introduce you to tonight's guest judges,
24:56a below-deck legend known for her ferocious wit and five-star style.
25:03Stop.
25:04Former chief stew, the Kate Chastain.
25:10Kate Chastain is so amazing, and she knows what she's talking about.
25:14I'm so excited to see what you guys have created,
25:17because I know these yacht uniforms have needed a little more fashion for a long time.
25:22Also joining us is the winner of last season's client challenge.
25:27Yes.
25:28Every day.
25:29She knows her way around a yacht, y'all.
25:31Sonia, we got the yacht.
25:32We got the yacht!
25:33We got the yacht!
25:35Countess Luanne.
25:40For me, it was so much fun strutting down the runway in Chantel's creations.
25:45All right, boo.
25:46Luanne's in the house.
25:47She usually does not hold her tongue, but then she also does know good style.
25:51So hopefully this countess sees a queen on this stage.
25:55Let's start the show.
25:56Yes!
26:09Yes!
26:10You better go.
26:11F*** it up, girl.
26:13Yes!
26:14Aisha looks like she's having a great time, and she is rocking it.
26:18The jacket looks amazing on her.
26:21The top is fitting nicely.
26:23The anchor on the back.
26:24That's cute.
26:25Go ahead, girl.
26:29I made sure I checked off the checklist of all the things that Aisha asked for,
26:34while including my own original aesthetic.
26:37She looks great.
26:41Woo!
26:42Yes!
26:45Bad boys in the club.
26:46Gary just took me on a trip, man.
26:48I'm just having fun.
26:49As a uniform, it's functional.
26:51You know, a whole bunch of pockets.
26:53Fabric is breathable.
26:54Short sleeve.
26:55On the belt, a little situation where he could put his walkie-talkie.
26:59So my find is good.
27:00Give him a little shoulder, Gary.
27:03That hair flip was everything.
27:05I would never put anything out that is not a good representation of myself.
27:10This is pretty good.
27:11It is.
27:12I'm impressed.
27:17Yes!
27:19There she is.
27:23Looks great on the runway.
27:24She's showing all the right elements of the look.
27:27It still looks like Kato.
27:28It's still giving elements and small details on both pieces.
27:32I definitely feel like the construction of my work stands alone on this runway.
27:38Fashionable.
27:39And function.
27:40Yeah, fashion and function, yeah.
27:47Z looks like something out of the best James Bond thriller movie.
27:52It breathes well because it's all natural fibers.
27:55He has the shades.
27:56He has the utility belt.
27:58The pants fit him perfectly.
28:02Yay!
28:03I'm a captain now!
28:07And super excited.
28:09Super excited and just honestly ready to see what the judges have to say.
28:12Warm dress uniform.
28:19You better f*** it up!
28:22She looks flawless.
28:24She looks clean.
28:25She looks chic.
28:26Stylish.
28:27And she looks professional.
28:28And I'm just living for it.
28:32Oh yeah!
28:37I think that it represents my aesthetic and it's all about fit.
28:41It's professional but it's sexy.
28:43Right.
28:48The relief I feel is insane.
28:51Yes, Colin! Work it!
28:55Colin loves it and that's what matters.
28:57It's a client challenge.
28:58If it's a client challenge and you do see my DNA in the look, then that's all there is.
29:02I can stand behind this design 100%.
29:05So good.
29:09It's a good outfit for working on the engine.
29:11I thought so too.
29:20This look is definitely fashionable and also functional.
29:23And Jason is really selling the outfit.
29:25And I'm happy that Jason feels great.
29:36Excuse me, Captain.
29:37I think that was to you, maybe.
29:40Sure.
29:41I'm very excited to bring some Asian influence into the show on the runway.
29:54Sandy looks amazing.
29:56And she's actually having fun on the runway.
29:58Her look is very clean, very Sandy, very Captain-like.
30:01My client is happy.
30:03This is a client challenge.
30:04So I accomplished that goal.
30:12Overall, I do feel like I did enough to stay.
30:15But who knows?
30:24It's so interesting when we have these sort of like equalizing challenges to see your talents come through.
30:31I can't wait to find out who made who.
30:34Y'all look great.
30:43All right, designers.
30:44We've scored your designs.
30:46One of you will be the winner.
30:48And one of you will be out.
30:52But what your client has to say is also very important to us.
30:58So we'd like to speak to all of you.
31:01All right, Rami.
31:02Yes.
31:03Let's get Courtney out here.
31:04Didn't think I'd get to say that again.
31:06And what a pleasure it was.
31:08So good.
31:09Hi.
31:11Good to see you again.
31:12Hi.
31:13Pleasure to meet you.
31:14Nice to meet you.
31:15All right, so tell us your job, what your daily function is.
31:19Okay.
31:20So I recently swapped to be a deckhand.
31:22It's still going to be quite functional because I'm like helping get luggage onto the yacht.
31:26It's quite physical sometimes.
31:28Courtney, I think you'll agree.
31:29I could definitely see this going straight on deck and being very functional and very fashionable.
31:35It really does look like a uniform but elevated.
31:37I mean, I would see Courtney and go, oh my God, we've arrived to the yacht.
31:43It just looks so crisp and so elegant and professional.
31:48Rami, I think that you did a great job.
31:51I thought that it was very functional.
31:53I could see from the runway that it was something that was breathable.
31:56I thought the skort was a very smart idea.
32:00The tailoring is impeccable.
32:02But my question to you, Courtney, is can you still put this through the twerk test?
32:09Oh, of course.
32:12Wow.
32:13There you go.
32:16That passes the twerk test.
32:18That was right.
32:19So I was happy.
32:20Rami, thank you so much.
32:22Courtney, you can leave the runway.
32:24It was so nice to meet you.
32:25Okay.
32:26Should we get the next lookout?
32:28Hi again.
32:30Daisy, tell us what you do on the vessel, what your day-to-day is.
32:35I am Chief Stew and I delegate jobs to everyone.
32:40So do you feel like Kato delivered on what you asked?
32:44Yeah.
32:45Personally, I love it.
32:46I love the color.
32:47I think that's what we bonded over.
32:49This was actually in my top two.
32:51I really, really love it.
32:52I love it by itself.
32:53It gives me Bond girl vibes.
32:55And I really like the pop of neon.
32:56It makes it cheerful and modern.
32:59The neon was great because I felt like with the crew, with everybody wearing black, you don't know who's who.
33:03So for me, being able to say, okay, well, this color represents these people and this color represents that person.
33:09I loved the jacket.
33:10I really thought it was great.
33:11I don't know that the romper is that functional.
33:14And I think the epaulets are such stars on the jacket that, like, it just feels like they're sort of taped on the body.
33:20There's something about the vest being sleeveless and kind of looking formal that I really liked.
33:27Thank you, Kato.
33:29Anna, let's bring out Captain Jason.
33:33Hello, everybody.
33:36Okay, Captain Jason, what do you need in your clothing to make your job easier?
33:41I need comfort.
33:42I need to be relaxed.
33:43I need to be cool.
33:44I live in the Philippines for the last six or seven years.
33:47So I think that aspect came in very quickly during our conversations.
33:52So, Anna, tell us about your design.
33:54As Jason just said, we are taking the Asian influences into the design.
33:59So we're taking the kimono inspiration and making something very unique but also comfortable.
34:05That's why I came up with the idea for the jumpsuit.
34:07I think that you definitely created a uniform that would be very cool and comfortable.
34:12While it's functional in that regard, the way the radio, when it's clipped on, kind of sags down, that's a bummer.
34:18He has very broad shoulders.
34:20And the epaulets are quite small and oddly placed.
34:23And I did feel like I wanted more authority on the runway from the captain.
34:30It didn't necessarily land for me as a believable captain uniform.
34:36What do you normally wear?
34:37Former will do collar and tie.
34:39This is a big jump from the collar and the ties.
34:42Yeah, that's what we're trying to do.
34:43This is silk?
34:44It's the silk and the silk cotton.
34:47I just feel like silk and sweat is not comfortable.
34:51It's just way too relaxed for me to find any authority here.
34:55All right, thank you so much.
34:56Thanks, guys.
34:59All right, Bishme, you're up.
35:00Here comes Aisha.
35:01Come on.
35:02Come on, baby.
35:03Come on, baby.
35:04Aisha, nice to meet you.
35:05Nice to meet you.
35:06Hello.
35:07So, tell us what you do.
35:08I'm mainly in charge of guest service, so I'm running around, pulling for meals, making cocktails.
35:14What did you want in your look?
35:15So, I really wanted something that looked a little bit sexy but still professional.
35:21Do you think you delivered?
35:22Definitely.
35:23I want it.
35:24And the whole look is neoprene, right?
35:26Yes.
35:27So, tell us about the choice in that.
35:29For me, I love to be able to hide the seams in the neoprene with an invisible zipper.
35:34On the back, I did a vent as well, so I should be able to breathe.
35:37Neoprene, how fantastic.
35:40It's windy.
35:41You get wet.
35:42That's perfect.
35:43Thank you, Nina.
35:44You know, if I'm getting on a yacht one day and in neoprene…
35:49At this age, with this stomach, that's my new swimsuit.
35:53I'm putting that on.
35:54I love the anchor part.
35:56The anchor is just like everything.
35:58Oh, thank you.
35:59This is definitely one of my favorites.
36:01Proportions of the epaulette shoulders.
36:03They're just a little extra big and just a little extra slit in the skirt.
36:07You just gave it that extra fashion that I was really dying to see.
36:12All right.
36:13Thank you, Bishme.
36:14Aisha, pleasure to have you here.
36:15You're amazing.
36:18Rajay, we'd love to talk to you next.
36:19Let's get Captain Sandy out here.
36:21Hey.
36:22How are you?
36:23Good.
36:24Captain Sandy, pleasure to meet your acquaintance.
36:27What do you need from your look, and what did you ask for?
36:30I wanted flexibility, comfortability, and changed my entire look.
36:36But I wanted you to do you.
36:38In this experience, he's the captain.
36:41Rajay, I appreciate how you pushed the design.
36:44That being said, you know, I have to be honest.
36:47It did feel a little costumey.
36:50And the pattern just felt more you, Rajay,
36:53and not necessarily for this challenge.
36:56The print makes it very distracting.
37:01I know you're fun, but I don't know if I like the pattern stuff.
37:05I feel like it's too much with the stripe, but that's just me.
37:08The first thing she asked was bling.
37:10So I was just like, okay, if you ask me for bling,
37:12then we're going to go with bling.
37:14The first thing she asked was bling.
37:15So I was just like, okay, if you ask me for bling,
37:17then we can get a little Rajay into this mix.
37:19You took the shape of the bar jacket, which is such a feminine shape.
37:25I love that.
37:26The sleeve is really beautiful that you cuffed, and the epaulettes.
37:31I would have left it at that.
37:33Thank you so much, Rajay.
37:36All right, Laurence, let's get Gary out here.
37:40Hello.
37:41How are you?
37:42Okay, Gary, so tell us the day-to-day of your job
37:45and what you need out of your look.
37:47I work a lot with my hands.
37:48I work a lot with the guests on the boats.
37:50So what I was looking for in my look is something that's easy to move around in,
37:53something that's lightweight, and something that's comfortable,
37:56and I'm very happy with it, especially the jacket.
37:58I think the leather jacket on a boat, to me, is confusing,
38:03but it's really well made.
38:04That wasn't really meant for the boat.
38:05It was more like when they go out and they leave to take their clients out.
38:09Party time. Got it.
38:10Can we see it with the jacket off?
38:12I know that you did a great reveal.
38:15What is the bathroom situation?
38:17Like, it's easy to take the romper on and off?
38:20I mean, so basically.
38:25This is not Thunder from Down Under.
38:29There's nothing wrong with the construction of it,
38:31but I just would have loved to see you push yourself a little bit more
38:33from a design perspective.
38:35I do agree.
38:36I just wish you would have added maybe a few more stripes.
38:41That's all you needed.
38:43I know. I just didn't.
38:47I think if you're to go forward, please do not be safe.
38:51Okay.
38:52You can leave the runway.
38:54Okay, Kerson, here comes Z.
38:59Tell us about your job and what you need from your look.
39:02So I'm a deckhand on board.
39:04This is the look that we'll wear when we're greeting our guests
39:07and then basically get into a daytime uniform
39:10and then in the evenings we'll get back into this.
39:12For Mediterranean party season, this would be amazing.
39:17I thought there was too much going on here
39:20with the double-breasted detail and the gold zipper
39:24and the chunky lapel.
39:26I honestly have to agree.
39:28It's very beautiful.
39:29It just felt like for the wrong occasion.
39:32I'm looking at the practicality of the challenge.
39:34It's very impractical.
39:36Coming from a military family
39:38and seeing what a dress uniform is from a regular uniform,
39:41it's two totally different things.
39:43This was for a special event dress uniform.
39:46Thank you, Kerson.
39:48Okay, Brittany, you're up next.
39:50Let's get Colin out here.
39:55Okay, so tell us what's the day-to-day function of your job?
39:59So I'm the chief engineer on the boat.
40:01I go in and out of the engine room all the time,
40:03but I also help out on deck,
40:05and the idea of this was to have it formal enough
40:07to be able to be outside,
40:08but also practical enough to work in the engine rooms.
40:11For an engineering-appropriate uniform,
40:15this one would look very presentable
40:17in front of the guests,
40:18even during more formal dinner service.
40:20We understand immediately what his job is, right?
40:24It just looks cool.
40:25Yeah.
40:26I love that you were able to create something
40:28that was really fashionable
40:29but really nailed the challenge at the same time.
40:32All right, Brittany, thank you so much.
40:34Colin, pleasure to meet you.
40:35You can leave the runway.
40:36Yay!
40:37Oh, thank you.
40:38Thank you, designers.
40:40We have a lot to unpack here,
40:42and we will talk to you soon.
40:49All right, this was not an easy task.
40:51I think there were really three designers
40:53that stood above the rest.
40:54It was Rami, Brittany, and Bishme.
40:57And now the fight begins.
41:00Who wants to start?
41:02Bishme almost did the impossible.
41:03Like, we want to wear that outfit on the street.
41:06I want to go back in a yachting and wear it.
41:08I just feel like that look was so crisp.
41:10You know, she looks so professional.
41:12It looked elevated.
41:13It felt luxe.
41:14It was classic, yet fashion-forward.
41:18Right.
41:19He used the most interesting fabrication
41:22of anybody on the runway tonight.
41:24But can we talk about Rami,
41:25who was voted off last week,
41:28got the Siriano save,
41:30and is on the top this week.
41:32His client, Courtney,
41:33seemed really happy with her look.
41:35This uniform could go on a yacht right now
41:38and work and work well.
41:39Rami's look was day to evening,
41:41casual to formal,
41:43and I love that skort.
41:45I mean, we have to talk about Brittany.
41:47I mean, I loved the top stitching and the hardware,
41:50and I love how she is really finding this groove
41:53to where she can succeed
41:55in so many different hard challenges
41:57and still come through as herself.
41:59Brittany's contrast topstitch
42:01is what really made it feel designer to me,
42:03not just a coverall.
42:05She probably had the most challenging task
42:09because he has to be in something hot and heavy
42:13that really cannot be multifunction.
42:16I think she really solved the problem.
42:20All right, let's talk about Carousan for a second.
42:22For me, Carousan's look did not meet the challenge whatsoever.
42:26Full fashion, no function.
42:28Forget that Carousan's look was over-designed.
42:32Everything was tight.
42:33The shoulder wasn't where it was supposed to be.
42:36The pants were busting out.
42:37I mean, it was a mess.
42:39I was also confused because every week,
42:41she reminds us that she's a costume designer
42:43and she loves dressing for a character.
42:45Tonight, you have a real-life character,
42:47and this just felt so ill-fitting
42:49for his role.
42:50But I think another designer that we need to talk about
42:54is Anna.
42:55We have to.
42:56And her design.
42:57I think that the look did a disservice
42:59to Captain Jason,
43:00who seemed to really love the look.
43:02He said she gave him exactly what he was looking for.
43:06It just was a little flimsy and loosey-goosey,
43:09and he looked a little too comfortable.
43:11I certainly am not sure that I want the Captain,
43:14no matter where I am,
43:15to be chest out in a jumpsuit being like,
43:17What's up, y'all? Come on board.
43:20The Captain is the highest-ranking uniform.
43:24That's right.
43:25In a minute, you've got to know
43:27that's that person's title.
43:29This was very ambiguous.
43:31Talk about another confusing look.
43:33Prage and poor Captain Sandy.
43:35He did way too much.
43:36First of all, the shoes, the hat.
43:39There was just so much going on,
43:41and it was just all wrong.
43:43I mean, I was drunk on a boat.
43:44I think the biggest problem with Prage's look
43:47was adding that print.
43:49Yes.
43:50I love that Captain Sandy said to Prage,
43:52I want you to be the captain of the ship.
43:55But he sunk her ship.
43:56Yeah.
43:57Captain Sandy is cooler than this.
43:59Okay, so we know what we're doing.
44:00We know who the winner is.
44:01We know who's going home.
44:03Are we all in agreement?
44:04Yes.
44:09Hey, designers.
44:10I just want to say,
44:11we know how difficult this challenge was.
44:14We just want to say you did a great job,
44:16and most importantly, you made your clients happy.
44:21Brittany, Rami, and Bishme,
44:25you had our three favorite looks of the night.
44:30The winning uniform was forward-thinking,
44:33and it fully delivered on function
44:36while giving us high fashion.
44:39The winner is...
44:45Bishme.
44:46Yay!
44:49Your first win, Bishme.
44:53Bishme, your uniform was stylish, high fashion,
44:56and I really need you to come out
44:57with a line of neoprene trench coats,
44:59because I want one so bad.
45:01I got you. I got you.
45:03Brittany and Rami, you're in.
45:05Congratulations.
45:06Laurence and Kato, you are also in.
45:12All five of you can leave the runway.
45:16After being the bridesmaid, I'm finally a bride.
45:19They let your boy win this one,
45:20and I felt like it was truly deserving.
45:23Bishme, congrats.
45:24Yes, baby!
45:25Rap, rap, rap, rap.
45:29Karazhan.
45:30Yes.
45:31Roger and Anna,
45:34unfortunately, you had our least favorite looks,
45:37and one of you will be out.
45:39Anna,
45:40the uniform was too casual for a captain.
45:43It lacked authority,
45:44and your fabric choice did not make sense.
45:47Karazhan,
45:48we felt your look was over-designed
45:51and ill-fitting.
45:52Roger,
45:53the print you chose was distracting.
45:55The look felt more like a costume than a uniform.
46:00Anna.
46:04I'm sorry you are out.
46:09You know we love you, and you're so talented.
46:11I just want to say, new mom to new mom,
46:14thank you for everything you sacrificed
46:16to be here this season,
46:18and I can't wait to see all the amazing work
46:21that you put into the world.
46:22I'm taking fashion as my lifetime career.
46:26I'm gonna do this until I die.
46:28Yes.
46:30Thank you, Anna.
46:31Thank you, Anna.
46:33I am a little bit surprised
46:35because I definitely believe
46:37that I am a very unique designer.
46:40Aww, love.
46:42And I think I have more things to show.
46:45It's been amazing.
46:48Pleasure working with you.
46:50You guys are so talented.
46:52Hey, here you are!
46:56Oh, my sweet beauty.
46:59I love you.
47:00I love you.
47:02Sweet thing.
47:03All right, I have to send you to the work room.
47:05Say goodbye.
47:06This time is way tougher than last time,
47:08and I think everybody can tell
47:10that I had some difficulties here
47:14from the friendship,
47:15from the being safe many times,
47:19and I just have to keep myself strong,
47:22keep moving forward.
47:24My son's gonna be so proud of me
47:26because everything that mom is doing is for you.
47:30I want to be your future inspiration.
47:32I love you.
47:35Next on Project Runway All Stars.
47:37This is a Project Runway first.
47:39Uh-oh.
47:40You've earned the right
47:41to make whatever the hell you want.
47:43Are you serious?
47:44Ahh!
47:45I feel like I'm in an episode of Bitch Stole My Love.
47:48Uh-oh.
47:49I want to see something on a body.
47:52No!
47:53A lot of look.
47:54No.
47:55You're stressing us.
47:56This garment doesn't feel modern.
47:59It felt unfinished,
48:00and ultimately the silhouette felt dated.
48:02I'm sorry.
