00:11What the... Why are you crying?
00:13You're asking the baby.
00:15Oh, my God.
00:16I'm going to do unconventional,
00:18but I have the right not to like it.
00:20The look transformed.
00:22I'm going to do a new look.
00:24I'm going to do a new look.
00:26I'm going to do a new look.
00:27I'm going to do a new look.
00:29The look transcended the materials it was made of
00:32and delivered full-on couture.
00:34The winner is Victor.
00:36Oh, my God.
00:39Mila, Laurence, and Rami,
00:41you all missed the mark for different reasons.

01:22This is Project Runway All Stars.
01:27You okay?
01:29I know.
01:30I'm coming here to hug you.
01:32It's okay.
01:33It's tough.
01:35Guys, it's tough.
01:36Listen, you're going to get softer
01:38by the end of this competition.
01:39On my season, I never rocked the bottom,
01:41not a single time.
01:42Yeah, I'm good.
01:43So you got to rebuild yourself,
01:45make sure that they see you the next time.
01:47Yeah, that was a wild one, right?
01:49That was really crazy.
01:50Everyone's so good that you just never really know.
01:52Get some rest, and I'll see you real soon.
01:55Ooh, mystery.
01:57Bye.
01:58Mystery.
01:59So what are you feeling the next challenge is, you guys?
02:02Honestly, after this,
02:03it's either going to be, like, bridal or, like...
02:06I'm all about a drag queen.
02:08Give me a drag queen.
02:10Oh!
02:12Aw.
02:14It's the queen.
02:16It's the queen.
02:18Good morning, everyone.
02:27Long live the king.
02:29That's me.
02:31Done with this.
02:33Okay.
02:34The world just witnessed a historic coronation
02:37right across the pond.
02:38And in celebration of this momentous occasion,
02:42we want you to create a formal gown fit for royalty.
02:48Oh!
02:49Oh, my goodness.
02:50Yes!
02:52Keep in mind, gowns can go quite dated very quickly,
02:56so this needs to feel modern, fresh.
02:58Royal of today, you know.
03:01Cool, innovative.
03:03And the good news is...
03:06we're dividing you up into teams of two.
03:08Oh, my God!
03:11We dread team challenges so much
03:14because it's about compromising.
03:16One, two, one, two.
03:18It's fitting that we're working with monarchy
03:20because there's a lot of diplomacy involved.
03:22So, to determine the teams,
03:24everyone's going to grab one of these fabulous little tea sandwiches.
03:29Okay?
03:30But don't take a bite.
03:31Grab one.
03:32Okay.
03:33Ladies first.
03:34Oh, thank you.
03:35You guys are going to find someone
03:39who has the same sandwich as you,
03:40and that will be your teammate.
03:42Who has water, crust, tomato, and cream cheese?
03:45That's me and you, baby.
03:46Whoo!
03:48Victor won the last challenge,
03:49and I won the first challenge,
03:50so we are the two winners.
03:52Excellent!
03:53Excellent!
03:54Come on!
03:55Coronation chicken.
03:56Oh, my gosh, I'm so happy!
04:01We're about to get this poppin'.
04:02We are.
04:03Oh, my goodness.
04:04Even though you're in a team of two,
04:06only one of you will be going home.
04:09Damn.
04:10This is a two-day challenge.
04:11Victor, you won the last challenge.
04:13That means your team gets first pick of model.
04:16Oh!
04:17Isn't that nice?
04:18Yes!
04:19One look, one model.
04:21There you go.
04:22You pick.
04:23You mean Jessica or Jessica M?
04:24Jessica M.
04:26We're done.
04:27All right, who'd you pick?
04:28Ren.
04:29Fab.
04:30Who'd you pick?
04:31Jessica M.
04:33Let me see.
04:35Roberta.
04:36Fabulous.
04:37We're doing Mimi.
04:39Sarah.
04:41We're picking me.
04:43All right, so tomorrow morning, you'll go to Mood.
04:46I won't be there.
04:47I have royal obligations, obviously.
04:49Oh, wow.
04:50But each team will have a budget of $1,000.
04:55Not bad.
04:56You guys have 30 minutes now to brainstorm and sketch.
05:00I left your friction pens and your sketchbooks
05:02right over there.
05:03Bye-bye.
05:04Bye.
05:05So my fabric from home was given to me by a childhood friend.
05:07This wasn't made for royalty.
05:09I don't know what was.
05:10Oh, honey, yeah.
05:11I want to do African-Haitian, like black royalty.
05:14So Project's from Haiti, and I'm originally from Liberia.
05:17So immediately we know we're going for African-Haitian royalty.
05:21This is what this fabric was for.
05:23The girl to walk, and I want the judges to be like,
05:26ugh, not just the jewels and all that, but the movement.
05:29I agree.
05:30Water.
05:31Maybe the back is like literally a cape with a train.
05:35Yeah.
05:36I'm thinking, what about this?
05:37What about if it's not around this way?
05:39What if it goes up like a petal, like a flower?
05:44I like the romantic aspect of it, because it's feminine.
05:47Yeah, cool, feminine, yes.
05:49Mixing those two elements.
05:51I'm actually really, really excited to have Anna as a partner.
05:53We're both extremely feminine designers.
05:56OK, and it's like two skirts in one.
05:59Hop on it.
06:00We are genderqueer.
06:03I feel like it's an opportunity to make a gown fit the aesthetic that we have.
06:08Yeah, and we can look at queendom in kind of a genderqueer, genderfluid way,
06:12where we're sort of subverting the idea of what queen is
06:15and subverting the idea of what a gown is.
06:18The future of queerdom.
06:19I honestly have a strong connection to the idea of femininity.
06:22However, the way I see myself doesn't always align with the way femininity
06:26is described in this modern world.
06:29So I am here to be that voice.
06:31We're really looking to make a statement of peace about queer identity,
06:35about what it means to be a queen, what it means to be regal,
06:38and the future of what we see as this kind of genderfree, genderfluid world.
06:43I love this. Like, this is gorgeous.
06:45Leather is my number one love, and this is literally, I've been working with this.
06:49We're on the same page, yeah.
06:51I work on the cape, you work on the gown.
06:53Yeah.
06:54I know I can make a dope-ass cape.
06:56I love my girl, Laurence. She's so gangster.
06:59We need to make sure that the dress and the cape fabric marries well.
07:04A sleeve and neckline detail could be really interesting.
07:07If we want to do sculpture, I think that you have really cool shapes.
07:10I am excited to be paired with someone who is extremely talented.
07:15This gown that we are creating is about to be a masterpiece.
07:19We don't want her to feel old. I want to make sure she's, like, for sure.
07:23Team challenges are a challenge.
07:26It's partly about the design, but it's also partly about your working style with other people.
07:31All right, guys, let's go home.
07:33It's been a long day.
07:35Coming up...
07:37I want to be the leader. I want to do something different.
07:39I am not here to execute her vision.
07:42Yeah, I know how to do it.
07:43That was unpleasant.
07:46These challenges are going to get harder and harder.
07:50One day you're in, one day you're out.
07:52You've got your only as good as your last.
07:54It's like you won the first challenge, I won the second.
07:57There's a little target on our back.
07:59Yeah.
08:01Okay, friends, it's time to go to Mood.
08:08Good morning, Mood.
08:11Good morning, Mood.
08:13I can smell the fabric already.
08:15Designers...
08:17Christian is currently in my basement.
08:20$1,000.
08:22Half an hour to have this bitch up.
08:25Are you ready?
08:26Yes!
08:31Uh, charmeuse, satin, style, organza, chiffon.
08:34Where's...
08:35I think these three here.
08:36Mm-hmm.
08:37With this overlay.
08:38Picking gray as a color story is really intentional
08:41because gray is a color that does not dictate gender.
08:45We're keeping everything separate,
08:46so over the pants there's a skirt,
08:48and then over this vest there is a set of sleeves
08:51that harness everything in.
08:52I like this.
08:53This design is dedicated for an everyday woman.
08:56She could be a housewife, she could be a mother,
08:59but they still deserve to have, you know,
09:01a royal moment while wearing this beautiful gown.
09:03I'm gonna take these for sure.
09:04This one I'm just gonna take four
09:06because they're so expensive.
09:07$1,000 is not really fit for a queen.
09:10I mean, come on, we had $2,000 to spend on toys
09:13the last challenge.
09:14How much is this $150?
09:15$200.
09:16It's $200?
09:17No way.
09:18Really?
09:19How much money do we have?
09:20Left.
09:21$500.
09:22Left?
09:23Shit, I'm about to buy the store.
09:24The fact that I'm using my special fabric from home
09:26actually takes off a whole $1,000
09:28that we won't have to spend at Mood.
09:30She's giving Haiti in.
09:32Yeah, she is giving Haiti in.
09:33So mostly we're looking for our masterpiece solid,
09:37the foundation of this garment.
09:39I think it might look good.
09:40Because it's patented, it looks rich.
09:42Victor really wanted to use a silver metallic leather
09:45that's a little bit harder than my normal style,
09:47but I want to give him that moment,
09:49he's really adamant about it,
09:50so I'm like, you know what, go ahead and get it.
09:52We can always choose to not use it later.
09:54Two minutes!
09:57We have everything else, notions and stuff, right?
09:59Are we good?
10:01Yeah.
10:11I like to be crown king.
10:19I think this lining is a little bit, like,
10:23warm from the color from here.
10:25If this doesn't work, I'll use layers of this one
10:29will be fine too.
10:30I would say 90% of us are very type A control freaks.
10:34I am both of those things, as well as high strung.
10:38I can pass. I do the skirt.
10:40I gotta pad the waist.
10:41I want to be the leader, I want to do something different.
10:44But I know Brittany has a very strong opinion all the time.
10:48Ah, this color, Victor, is so good.
10:51So rich.
10:52Victor and I are making this amazing
10:55royal purple silk georgette gown
10:58with a metallic leather corset.
11:01That one.
11:02Paja and I being miraculously, like, put together
11:05is like the gods in themselves said, you know what, be one.
11:09We decided to do a robe in the blue metallic.
11:12So once you think you got it, boom, it drops
11:15and there's this really beautiful gown.
11:17I mean, thinking about it,
11:18does she have to be long in the front?
11:20She don't really have to, right?
11:21We could do the high low, I love it.
11:23So we'll see our legs.
11:24Which is very, yes.
11:25Very sexy too.
11:26It's very sexy.
11:27We can do pants and vests out of this.
11:29Exactly.
11:30And the sleeves out of this and the skirt out of this.
11:32I believe true fashion embraces masculinity and femininity
11:35and creates an entirely new other form of gender representation.
11:39That's me beautiful, yeah.
11:40So Fabio and I are really trying to treat this challenge
11:43as a chance for us to be a spokesperson
11:46for the queer generation.
11:47I'm feeling the vibes.
11:49What vibes?
11:50Like the good vibes, man.
11:52You're the sweetest partner ever, man.
11:55Since I've been on Project Runway,
11:57I had the opportunity to dress the Queen of Jordan.
12:01Having dressed royalty is like a huge honor
12:04for somebody like myself.
12:06When I first got the call, I just didn't believe it.
12:08I thought that it was a joke.
12:09To actually be flown first class
12:11and to be greeted at the Mandarin Hotel
12:13by Queen of Jordan herself,
12:15it's a moment that I will always remember.
12:18I'm gonna go and connect the skirt together.
12:20Okay.
12:21Our girl is definitely a pop culture, like Beyoncé.
12:25Or Celine Dion.
12:27This is that queen.
12:28We need to make it more sexy, more modern.
12:30So I'm making a corset in the middle with leather.
12:34That signature touch that if you see it,
12:36you know it's mine.
12:37Is that what you're making?
12:39Yeah.
12:40It's fine.
12:41Whatever.
12:44You can just give the room for this part,
12:47and then you gather.
12:48Yeah, I know how to gather.
12:50I am not here to execute her vision.
12:53Just want to make it out of this team challenge alive.
13:06Who's the royal you missed, bitch?
13:08Out!
13:10Ramy and I are creating a gown
13:13that has a very architectural detail,
13:15but classic elements.
13:17I feel like it's more flattering if it ain't found out.
13:20When we do the heavy appliques,
13:21you won't see that seam at all.
13:23Yes, that's what I did before.
13:24No, you won't see it at all.
13:25I think we knew straight off where our queen was from.
13:28Paris for you.
13:29Which pretty much represents us.
13:31And Germany for me, since I was born in Germany.
13:33That's right.
13:34And thank you for adding the military twist for me,
13:36since I'm an Air Force bride.
13:37Oh, you're welcome.
13:38A little black queen with a European twist, you know?
13:40I don't really want to say that her style is not mine.
13:43She will go fully soft.
13:45You know, I could be soft and hard.
13:47I just like to mix the two together.
13:49The cape is the hard one.
13:50I don't see a Queen Lajon's fabric
13:53that feels too party to me.
13:55I like our better.
13:58Breaks my heart to cut you like this.
14:00The fabric I bought from home
14:02is actually one complete fabric
14:04is on this nude mesh.
14:06So I'm cutting each one out
14:07as Proje constructs the dress.
14:09She's serving rich bitch realness from Africa.
14:11I like where it's going.
14:13It just sparkles.
14:15We are going to give you
14:17the Queen of Wakanda
14:19representing us, the people.
14:26Okay, so you got the sleeves,
14:28I got the pants.
14:30And you're doing the vest now.
14:31Finishing up the vest.
14:32And tomorrow I'm diving into skirt territory.
14:34You got me.
14:35I got you, babe.
14:36That was unpleasant.
14:37Sorry to everyone.
14:38You did it all draped.
14:39I'll help you with that part.
14:41That corset is giving me life now.
14:43Victor and Kane's outfits.
14:45I have so many questions.
14:47So many questions.
14:49Yeah, you know why I think
14:50it's going to be successful?
14:52Because it looks like it's
14:53like a custom made something.
14:55I don't think they've seen this before.
14:57Fifteen minutes.
15:00I think from there
15:01it's probably going to be ready for fitting.
15:02You've already got the leather corset
15:03already ready.
15:04That's a game plan.
15:05I think it's going to be really cool.
15:08This is done.
15:09We have to connect the bodice.
15:11Oh my God, yes.
15:12Guys, you ain't got to go home.
15:15But you got to get the hell up out of here.
15:18Ready to go.
15:31So how do you feel about
15:32the walkthrough tomorrow
15:33when Christian walks in?
15:34When Christian comes to you guys
15:36because you like current seasons,
15:38it's a different relationship.
15:40And even with the judges.
15:41When you hear the judge saying,
15:43oh, it's so good to see you.
15:44And then you come back
15:45after so many years
15:46and you don't get
15:47any of that warm welcome.
15:48It just feels a bit off.
15:49You know what I mean?
15:50I get that.
15:54Yes, some of us are OGs.
15:56Some of us are new.
15:58But there's two OGs gone.
16:00But you know,
16:01like the way it is,
16:02they're fresh meat.
16:03You know, we've been doing this
16:04since the beginning.
16:06There's the respect to be due.
16:07We've been here, we've done it.
16:08I'm an OG and I still got it.
16:10God's been training me
16:11to get me ready.
16:12This is my time now.
16:16Here we go, here we go.
16:20Good morning, lovely dresses.
16:21We are back.
16:23Let's have a game plan.
16:24Just want to communicate
16:25what's everybody's person's doing.
16:28So that way it's a partnership.
16:30I really want to remind her
16:31that this is a partnership.
16:33It is our vision.
16:34I want you to trust me with
16:35I trust you so much.
16:36Especially the thing
16:37I worked with you yesterday.
16:39I see how you like seriously
16:40like backing all the two together.
16:42I trust you so much technically.
16:48It looks amazing already.
16:52Look how gorgeous.
16:53Oh, yeah.
16:55Hello, everybody.
16:56Hi, Kristen.
16:58How are you?
16:59Good.
17:00Everyone feeling regal and fabulous?
17:02Yes.
17:04Well, I love a gown,
17:05so I'm coming to see you.
17:07Okay.
17:10Hello.
17:11Hi.
17:12What are we looking at?
17:13This is African standard.
17:14This is African style.
17:16It's for the culture.
17:17Then, you know,
17:18once you guys are on the runway,
17:19you do that reveal.
17:21Take it off.
17:22And then you have
17:23this beautiful dress.
17:24Yeah.
17:25It's a whole look.
17:26Yeah, maybe it really just
17:27is about making this applique shine.
17:29That's your star,
17:30which I think you're doing
17:31a good job so far.
17:32I think it just has to be,
17:33like, perfect.
17:34All right, guys.
17:35Trim, trim, trim.
17:36Yes.
17:38Bye.
17:39Hello.
17:40Hi.
17:41What's happening here?
17:42For us, we wanted to showcase
17:43you don't have to be a queen
17:45to have royalty and be poised.
17:48Every woman at some moment
17:49in her life
17:50wants to have her royal moment.
17:52And as women
17:53who might even be housewives,
17:55I feel like sometimes
17:56they're the unsung heroes
17:58that need to be celebrated.
18:01I do think that this
18:03could be something more dramatic
18:06because it does feel
18:07a little safe.
18:08I just think they're really
18:09going to focus on
18:10what's so different.
18:11Like, things that are a bit off
18:13will be better.
18:15So, have fun.
18:16Thanks.
18:17I'm happy that Christian
18:18is testing us
18:19to kind of, like,
18:20bring our best.
18:21I feel like it will add
18:22another cool factor
18:23to the already amazing gown
18:25that we're creating.
18:26I see a cape.
18:27Yes.
18:28So, this kind of
18:29beautiful velvet leather cape.
18:31And that is the fabric
18:32that she brought from home.
18:34I'm known for leather,
18:35but this is my
18:36alternative to leather.
18:38I call this my Versailles fabric.
18:40That's my little French side.
18:42It looks very rich.
18:43It looks very regal
18:44and elegant.
18:45So, that's the cape.
18:46And then what goes underneath?
18:48I see a very icy queen
18:52over here.
18:53I'm like,
18:54I'm like,
18:55I think you're channeling something.
18:56I am channeling something.
18:58And this is where I'm thinking,
19:00because, like,
19:01my dad was in the military forever.
19:02Like, this is my mom.
19:03She always had on whites.
19:05She always had on these gloves.
19:07Lots of work.
19:11On the shoulders area here.
19:13I need to see it more finished
19:15for me to have a real opinion,
19:17to be honest with you.
19:21Hello, gentlemen.
19:23Hello, Christian.
19:24It's very purple over here.
19:25Yeah.
19:26We both are very inspired by music.
19:28So, it's like modern day.
19:29So, it's kind of like a music,
19:30a music icon.
19:32Exactly.
19:33And we really wanted to marry
19:35both of our aesthetics,
19:37but push it.
19:38Right now,
19:39it is looking a little bit
19:41medieval costume.
19:44Everyone knows that you can make
19:45incredible clothes.
19:46So, I think you could do something
19:49a bit cooler and more modern,
19:51because you can do this tomorrow
19:53in like half an hour.
19:54Like, this is not hard.
19:56I mean...
19:57I just, I mean...
19:58You know what?
19:59I think it's really important
20:00to be a good team player
20:01in this challenge,
20:02because I do love
20:03and respect Victor's work.
20:04It's just tough to decide,
20:06is this corset cool
20:07for this challenge?
20:08Are the judges going to get it?
20:09You could do something
20:10really interesting here,
20:11but...
20:12Okay.
20:13Don't push it.
20:14Bye.
20:15Bye.
20:17Bye.
20:18I'm wondering,
20:19is this a good idea?
20:20Take the corset out.
20:21If I was designing it by myself,
20:24I would definitely edit more,
20:26but I think I'm too
20:28respectful of Kane,
20:30and I want to make sure
20:31that his voice is on the garment,
20:32and mine voice too.
20:34Who's your royal, regal,
20:37queen moment?
20:38So, we're thinking monarch queer.
20:40Yeah.
20:41So, gender fluid,
20:42that's why the pants come into play,
20:43because we want it to look like
20:45it is a gown,
20:46but it's also...
20:47For the future.
20:48We're trying to dress the future
20:49for the culture.
20:50Just wear what you want to wear,
20:51be who you want to be.
20:52It doesn't matter.
20:53Literally anyone.
20:54I think for us,
20:55the ticket is really the skirt.
20:56We have to go as big as possible.
20:58Fabio and I keep talking about
20:59how we need to kind of bump it up
21:00into that regal category.
21:02This is a fairy little land we're in.
21:05It is.
21:06Yes.
21:07So, the queen is...
21:08She's from this planet.
21:10Oh, she's from another planet.
21:11Her own planet,
21:12and it's all women.
21:13Our queen is the queen
21:15of this imaginary planet.
21:17We want to keep this queen
21:18very chic, modern.
21:19So, this is the top,
21:20and this is the go-day dress.
21:22Clearly, it's very fairy-like,
21:24very ethereal, romantic,
21:26but it's about making sure
21:28this beading is placed.
21:29Sure.
21:30Because it looks like
21:31you just stuck them on the skirt.
21:33You got to get this skirt done.
21:35You have a lot to do.
21:36It took me six hours
21:38to make the skirt.
21:39I'm not sure if I can finish
21:41this dress on time.
21:42That looks like you stuck it on
21:44with a hot glue gun.
21:45Okay.
21:46I can see that.
21:47That's fair.
21:48I don't know.
21:49That's a good idea.
21:50Okay.
21:57I'm just, like,
21:58now I'm confused.
21:59I do think it looks period
22:00right now,
22:01but I think if we soften
22:02parts of it,
22:03I think it's gonna work.
22:08At least get this done
22:09before she gets here.
22:10We can put, like,
22:11the small ones there
22:12and get it heavy,
22:13and then...
22:14So you think I just
22:16put the whole fabric on it?
22:18Our plans are matching.
22:19Yeah, it looks gorgeous.
22:20The more that we work
22:21on this look,
22:22the more I can see
22:24the actual inspiration
22:25of the challenge
22:26come to life.
22:27I actually came out
22:28to my mom
22:30in the midst of
22:32having her accept
22:33my choice
22:34to go to fashion school
22:36as a career choice.
22:38It was a very hard struggle
22:39for the both of us
22:40until I became a finalist
22:41for Project Rummy.
22:42You've arrived.
22:43That moment changed
22:44everything for us,
22:45and that's why
22:46I keep coming back.
22:47I'm really thankful.
22:48Thank you, Mom.
22:49Oh, there he is.
22:51Hi, designers.
22:52Hey.
22:53Oh, Lord.
22:54All right.
22:55Let the model fitting begin!
22:56Whoo!
22:57Yes!
22:58Model.
23:00Hey.
23:02Look at our queen.
23:03You look so pretty.
23:06I can get you
23:07started in the pants.
23:09We are thinking
23:10of using this fabric
23:12for the head wrap.
23:13It has to be that.
23:14Yeah.
23:15Serving them goddesses.
23:16No.
23:17It's gonna be sheer.
23:18The back's gonna be open.
23:19We're gonna make it dramatic.
23:20The beading is sophisticated,
23:21but you gotta make it, like,
23:23modern and young and fresh.
23:25I like the idea
23:26of making it see-through
23:27and sexy here
23:28and opening the back.
23:29Oh, thank God.
23:30Wow.
23:31Give it a little icy.
23:32Wear her skates.
23:33I do not want
23:35any skating reference
23:36because, first of all,
23:37it doesn't look
23:38like a skating outfit.
23:39I wish they connected
23:40somehow a little bit more
23:42because they feel
23:43really different.
23:44Maybe there's one thing
23:45that you could do...
23:46To marry this.
23:47...to marry it.
23:48Okay.
23:49This,
23:50where the crinoline is,
23:52is creating quite a shelf.
23:54We were going for fullness.
23:56Maybe there's ways
23:57that you can create volume
23:59with just the tool.
24:00Uh-huh.
24:01Or there's peplums
24:02or overlays
24:03or shapes
24:04or something else.
24:07It is too late
24:08to make it
24:09from the pretty to edgy.
24:12We just have
24:13to finish this dress.
24:14Is the armor gone?
24:16No.
24:17No.
24:18We wanted to do
24:19a modernized portrait collar.
24:21Uh-huh.
24:22Are you gagging over it?
24:23Do you love it?
24:24I'm almost there.
24:26You're covering up
24:27the most beautiful part?
24:28We don't know.
24:30You guys play around with this.
24:31It's getting there.
24:32Still needs some refining.
24:33I mean, she's kind of
24:34something else.
24:35I'm in love with her.
24:36She's something else.
24:37She's something else.
24:38Just a bit hook and eye
24:39in there.
24:40Yeah.
24:41Mm.
24:42I don't know
24:43what this pant is.
24:44It's not the most
24:45beautiful fitting pant.
24:47Yeah.
24:48Fab.
24:49I think we can assume
24:50that the skirt works,
24:51the top works,
24:52and the harness works.
24:53Yeah.
24:54And we should just
24:55flip those pants inside out
24:56and pin them
24:57and take them in right now.
24:58All right, designers,
24:59say goodbye to your models.
25:00Bye.
25:01Bye.
25:02All right, designers,
25:03I'll see you guys tomorrow.
25:04Good luck.
25:05It's going to be
25:06a stunning show.
25:07Extra four hours, please.
25:08Good.
25:09That looks good.
25:10I'm just going to go ahead
25:11and put this on
25:12until this given month.
25:13And if it's too long,
25:14I can just shred it.
25:15Okay, I'm sorry.
25:17It's time.
25:19No.
25:20Just call it a night.
25:21Is it raining?
25:22Oh, my God.
25:23I'm melting.
25:24♪♪♪♪♪
25:30Jesus.
25:31Okay.
25:32Feels like I was just here
25:33five minutes ago.
25:35Hi, everybody.
25:36Hi.
25:37Loving the suit.
25:38Good morning.
25:39All right, designers,
25:40who wants a model?
25:41Whoo!
25:42Pretty girls.
25:43Oh.
25:44Hi.
25:45Good, good.
25:46Hi.
25:47How are you doing?
25:48Turn to Hester.
25:49Last minute.
25:50Perfect.
25:51Beautiful.
25:52Is this dramatic enough
25:54at the shoulder?
25:55Okay.
25:56Can I have a little...
25:57All right, designers,
25:59when you're ready,
26:00take your models
26:01to the makeup studio
26:02and the TRESemmé hair salon.
26:04♪♪♪♪♪♪
26:06Hi.
26:07How are you?
26:08Good.
26:09You love the baby hairs.
26:10Just, like, natural beauty
26:11on max.
26:13♪♪♪♪♪♪
26:15Did it.
26:16Yes.
26:17Oh, I love it.
26:18All right, designers,
26:1915 minutes.
26:2015 minutes.
26:21♪♪♪♪♪♪
26:25Snap it.
26:26Yeah, can you hold it?
26:27All right, designers,
26:28that's time.
26:30♪♪♪♪♪♪
26:33All right, trim, trim, trim.
26:36All right, designers,
26:37one minute.
26:38Let me just cut
26:39on this side a little bit.
26:40Do you think I need
26:41to stitch this more,
26:42or you think we're good?
26:43I think we're good.
26:44All right, designers, that's it.
26:45We did it, girlfriend.
26:46You guys ready?
26:47All right.
26:48Yes, it's gonna be
26:49a gorgeous show.
26:50♪♪♪♪♪♪
26:52Hi, everyone.
26:53Hi.
26:54Well, you look fabulous today.
26:58Somebody understood
26:59the assignment.
27:00Well, we got all dressed up
27:01for you
27:02for this runway show.
27:03I didn't get
27:04the dress-up memo, so...
27:06Somebody get him
27:07a crown, please.
27:08It's my honor to introduce
27:10our guest judge
27:11for this challenge.
27:12He's dressed
27:13American royalty,
27:15Michelle Obama,
27:16cinematic royalty,
27:18Gwyneth Paltrow,
27:19and my good friend,
27:20Wes Gordon.
27:22Whoo!
27:23Hi, guys.
27:24It's Wes Gordon,
27:25one of my favorite designers
27:27of all time.
27:28I'm so excited
27:29to be here today,
27:30and I'm so excited
27:31to see this
27:32incredible challenge
27:33and the pieces you've made.
27:34Kalina Herrera
27:35is amazing.
27:36This is my brand.
27:38That's it.
27:39All right.
27:40Let's bring on the gowns
27:41and start the show.
27:42Yes!
27:43Whoo!
27:44Yes!
27:45♪♪♪♪♪♪
27:51We're not expecting
27:52to win this challenge.
27:53I hope we're just safe.
27:54I think that we're both
27:55thankful that we made
27:56something really pretty
27:57and that it's over.
27:59♪♪♪♪♪♪
28:02I think we just did
28:03a pretty gown
28:05rather than having
28:06something different.
28:08Whoo!
28:09♪♪♪♪♪♪
28:14Roberta literally looks
28:17like European royalty.
28:19I couldn't be happier.
28:21Ah!
28:22I love the glove reference.
28:24Yes, baby!
28:27After rocking the bottom
28:29on the previous episode,
28:31this is my redemption.
28:33I'm putting myself in a top.
28:36♪♪♪♪♪♪
28:42Wow!
28:44♪♪♪♪♪♪
28:47A gown for a royal
28:48needs to be loud.
28:50♪♪♪♪♪♪
28:53This is Game of Thrones.
28:56Our look is perfect
28:58for this challenge
28:59of gown for royalty.
29:01Rihanna, Beyonce, J.Lo, Gaga,
29:05they would all wear
29:06this gown, no question.
29:08My heart is about to explode
29:11just by seeing the silhouette
29:13behind the screen.
29:15Yes, off with their heads, honey.
29:17Yeah.
29:19♪♪♪♪♪♪
29:27If the judges do not pick this
29:29as a top look,
29:30I will lose it today
29:32because this is impeccable.
29:35♪♪♪♪♪♪
29:42I'm feeling amazing
29:43seeing my look go down the runway.
29:45Rami and I spent so much time
29:47creating such a chic
29:49and modern gown.
29:52Really well-made for 15 hours.
29:54Incredible, extraordinary.
29:57The gown fits her like a glove.
30:00The train looks really beautiful.
30:03The way the gown is designed
30:05is so beautiful.
30:07The train looks really beautiful.
30:09The way the sleeve wraps around
30:12from the shoulder down to the cape.
30:14It's a sculpture.
30:15It's really beautiful.
30:16I'm so proud of it.
30:18♪♪♪♪♪♪
30:21Hey!
30:23Hey, you better serve.
30:26♪♪♪♪♪♪
30:29She comes out and is like,
30:31whoa, girl.
30:32I'm even like, who made this?
30:33Oh, we made it?
30:34Oh, okay.
30:36I cannot tell who in the hell is whose.
30:39You can see this regal, royal,
30:42young queen.
30:44♪♪♪♪♪♪
30:50Hey, guys.
30:52Bravo.
30:53Thank you, Nina.
30:54Well done.
30:55There were no bad looks tonight.
30:57Can all of you please step up to the runway?
31:00♪♪♪♪♪♪♪
31:04Designers, we've scored your designs,
31:06and we would like to speak to all of you.
31:09That's a twist.
31:10There will be a winning and a losing team,
31:13and someone from the losing team will be out.
31:16♪♪♪♪♪♪♪
31:22Designers, we've scored your designs.
31:26The winner will come from the winning team,
31:28and someone from the losing team will be out.
31:33All right.
31:34Let's get the first look out here.
31:35Whoa.
31:36I knew I heard her.
31:38Hi.
31:39♪♪♪♪♪♪♪
31:42Rami, Bishme.
31:44Hello.
31:45Talk about your partnership.
31:46Tell us about your look.
31:47We did an amazing job with just intersecting
31:50our strengths with each other,
31:51understanding, like, what's the best thing
31:53that we can do for a woman
31:55that we feel like should be queen
31:57and not just coming from a royal family.
31:59Did you guys think about,
32:01we're going to go safe?
32:02We wanted to take elements from classic things
32:04and incorporate them in a new, modern way.
32:06I really enjoyed the simplicity
32:08of this classic gown silhouette
32:11that we have seen before,
32:12but you made it modern.
32:14You updated it.
32:15This was one of the chicest dresses.
32:17You guys have an amazing understanding
32:18of drape and pattern making.
32:21Coming from you, that's a big compliment,
32:22so thank you for that.
32:23But is this the one that stands out,
32:25like, that she is the one being crowned?
32:27That's where I'm kind of hesitating.
32:29I particularly love
32:31the drape of that half shoulder,
32:34which looks like a half cape,
32:36but why black?
32:38If it's for everyday woman,
32:40like how we were thinking,
32:41sticking with black felt like
32:43it was a perfect choice for us.
32:45I could see a young royal
32:47stepping into this big moment.
32:50Where I didn't think that you needed it
32:52was in the embroidery.
32:54Give us the modern tiara,
32:56the fantastic ponytail.
33:01Vishmi, Rami, thank you.
33:03Sarah, you can leave the runway.
33:06Hate to see it go.
33:08Let's get the next look out here.
33:21Brittany, Anna, tell us about your look.
33:24So our queen is from an all-woman planet,
33:27kind of like a Wonder Woman situation.
33:29Essentially, the idea of this planet
33:31is that every woman is a queen,
33:33and we really wanted to, like, keep it modern
33:36with embracing, like, the very feminine aspects
33:39of what we both do.
33:41My eye immediately went to the train.
33:44If you would just turn around, please.
33:45It feels wilted.
33:47It feels sad and heavy.
33:49Nina?
33:50It feels almost like a costume.
33:53Is she nipped at the waist,
33:55or is that supposed to be wider?
33:57It looks ill-fitting.
33:59Who did that?
34:01I did the dress.
34:02It's good.
34:03Brittany, what did you do?
34:04The corset top and then the sleeve.
34:07You know I love you both,
34:09so it pains me to say that I don't love this look.
34:12I wish that you gave us something
34:14that felt a little bit younger, more modern.
34:17We have seen some really inventive things
34:19from both of you.
34:21This is when you really have to tap into
34:23who you know you are.
34:25It's time to get risky.
34:26Okay.
34:27Anna, Brittany, thank you both.
34:30Thank you, Brendan.
34:31Thank you, y'all.
34:33Okay, moving on.
34:34Let's get our next look out here.
34:35Oh.
34:37Here we go.
34:41Laurence, Kerson, tell us about your collaboration
34:44and about your look.
34:45When I think of royalty,
34:47I think of a cave and a beautiful gown,
34:49and we really wanted a European queen,
34:51like Laurence is born in Paris.
34:53I'm an Air Force brat.
34:55I was born in Germany.
34:56Laurence brought this fabric from home,
34:58and I know it's contrasting,
35:00but I love a contrast.
35:01Laurence, so why did you choose to use your fabric
35:04from home on this challenge?
35:06This is my Parisian inspiration,
35:08which in the beginning,
35:10I just wanted to show her the fabric.
35:12I loved that immediately
35:14when your model came on the runway
35:16that I could see a piece of both of you
35:18because that so rarely happens
35:20when you're paired up together.
35:22This is one of my favorite looks.
35:24I love the sheer panels.
35:27I love the intelligently placed ruffles.
35:30I love the drama of the back.
35:32I think the cape is very chic, very well made,
35:35and I think the dress is quite beautiful.
35:37I think they have no business being together.
35:39I know that you don't like the cape.
35:41I kind of love the cape.
35:43I love that play of the black and the white.
35:46I really liked it.
35:47This was dressing a royalty from the future.
35:52Thank you, Laurence.
35:54Thank you, Carisson.
35:55Thank you so much.
35:56Okay, let's get the next look out here.
36:06Victor, Kane, who is your royal?
36:09Where are they going?
36:10Our girl is definitely like Queen B,
36:13Beyoncé, Lady Gaga.
36:15We both dress celebrities,
36:17and we're like,
36:18why don't we do something that we already do?
36:20The leather is me.
36:21The softness is him.
36:23We just wanted to go from performance to beauty.
36:25Can you explain where the dress ends
36:27and the accessories begin?
36:29So this is all a full dress.
36:31This is nude illusion all the way to the neck,
36:33also on the leg.
36:34So where does the leg end?
36:35It's sewn into the waist here.
36:37So with the exception of the corset,
36:40the dress is one piece.
36:41Correct.
36:42Wow.
36:43Okay.
36:44I found it to be more beautiful
36:45when you took the corset off.
36:48Let's take the corset off.
36:54I am stumped of what to say
36:56because the work is there,
36:58but the accessorizing is so over the top
37:02that it's hard for me to consider it
37:06as a gown and not a costume.
37:14I am kind of stumped of what to say.
37:18So who did what in this challenge?
37:20Yeah, who took it over the top?
37:21This part was definitely my portion.
37:25The corset, draping and making the pattern was Victor.
37:29Victor did the draping of the headpiece,
37:32and then my main focus was the construction of the bodice.
37:36You two are the winners of the last two challenges.
37:39It's an explosive combination.
37:41If this were a stage performance challenge,
37:46you would have run away with the gold medal.
37:49It just was too many things together.
37:53Victor, Cain, thank you so much.
37:55Wren, you can leave the runway.
37:58All right, let's bring the model out.
38:01Oh, that's nice.
38:03That's fine.
38:05Hester, Fabio,
38:08how did you arrive at this look?
38:10We come from the New York underground queer scene.
38:13We feel like we needed what a gown would look like for us.
38:16Yeah, and what a gown would look like
38:17for the world we want to create,
38:18because we really felt that there wasn't a representation
38:20of a queen who fit our perspective.
38:22Mimi, do you mind if we see the pants?
38:24Oh, this slips off.
38:26We actually designed a three-look collection so far.
38:29That's so brilliant.
38:31In 15 hours?
38:3215 hours.
38:33When I saw this, I was like,
38:36this is a risk,
38:38but it made me very curious and very pleased.
38:43I personally, and it's subjective,
38:45find this fabric to feel a little sad and older.
38:51So we chose this color because to us,
38:53it felt like the perfect mixture
38:55between the black classic and the white classic evening.
38:58So for us, looking at it as a non-binary or gender fluid,
39:02we were trying to funnel that into the color of the work.
39:05I love the drape of it.
39:06I love the modernity of it.
39:08I thought it was very successful.
39:10Hester, Fabio, thank you.
39:15Shall we get our final look on the runway?
39:23Kato, Rajay, tell us about your collaboration together.
39:27I'm 100% African, born and raised on the continent,
39:30and we wanted to tell the story of a people
39:32that were taken to different parts of the world.
39:34Everything we picked was very intentional,
39:36from the blue fabric, the flow of it, the waters.
39:39I mean, there was a lot of traveling.
39:41We've gone through so much,
39:42and still to this day, still fighting for rights.
39:44So that's why we decided to create a queen
39:48when she steps into the room, all eyes on her.
39:51This beading here is Konto's fabrics from home.
39:54And I have to give her great props and respect
39:57for actually wanting to use that in a team challenge.
39:59You did something with styling that I think was quite important,
40:02which is that you used the fabric from the opera coat,
40:05which I love, as the headpiece.
40:08If you hadn't done that,
40:09I'm not entirely sure how married together
40:12the coat and the dress would have been.
40:14But that simple touch made the whole look,
40:17so well done with that.
40:19She looks special.
40:21That's a compliment coming from you.
40:23I thought everything about it
40:25was the definition of what this challenge is about.
40:30I've watched Konto for years,
40:32so we knew this moment right there
40:34was already defined in the universe.
40:37A lot of my inspirations are here.
40:39That's why this group is so special.
40:41Yeah, like, these tears are just tears of joy.
40:44This pot of soup is, like, ready,
40:46and I have something to say.
40:48You have absolutely made the ancestors proud today.
40:51Yay!
40:52Without African fabric. It's brilliant.
40:54Who did what? Can you just break it down?
40:57Konto is all over the coat.
40:59I did the dress,
41:00and then she definitely did come
41:02and help put the placement on this African.
41:05I prayed to God like,
41:06Lord, let me guide him and not hurt his feelings,
41:08but all these rhinestones can't go on this dress.
41:11Beautiful work, you two.
41:13Jessica, you can leave the runway.
41:14Jessica is such a believable queen.
41:16Oh, my God.
41:17Yes.
41:19Designers, there really wasn't a worst of the group.
41:23It's just picking the smallest things out.
41:26That being said,
41:27we're going to ask you to leave the runway
41:29while we decide who will win and who will go home.
41:37Okay, so the challenge was to create a gown fit for royalty.
41:41I think that they all delivered.
41:43Yes.
41:44But let's decide who stays, who goes home.
41:47I can genuinely say I do not know who's going home.
41:50I know.
41:51Or who's winning.
41:52So we know who's safe.
41:54Hester and Fabio.
41:56Bishme and Rami fall somewhere in the middle.
42:00Agreed.
42:01Agreed.
42:02Let's do the fun part first
42:03and decide who gets the crown tonight, shall we?
42:05Yes, please.
42:06Between Laurence and Carousan and Coteau and Projet.
42:11I am partial to Laurence and Carousan's look.
42:15There's a lightness, a freshness.
42:18And as an individual piece,
42:20that's probably the dress you'd be most likely to wear
42:22to an event in New York.
42:23Exactly.
42:24But Coteau and Projet had an exuberance.
42:28There's just those magical moments sometimes in fashion
42:32when it all comes together.
42:34It so rarely happens, but it's such a joy to witness.
42:37And for me, Coteau and Projet tonight have that.
42:40Now for the hard part, we have to decide the losing team.
42:44And beyond that, we have to decide who's going home.
42:46Who wants to start?
42:47Oh, God.
42:48Not it.
42:49Not it.
42:51What's really challenging about picking who's going home
42:55is that Victor and Cain and Anna and Brittany
42:59had two very different problems.
43:02I was frankly bored by what Anna and Brittany
43:05sent down the runway.
43:07But on the other hand, I was overwhelmed
43:09by what Victor and Cain put down the runway.
43:12One of them was giving us full-time Vegas.
43:17And the other one is just basic and cliche.
43:20Mm-hmm.
43:21If Anna and Brittany are our least favorite team,
43:23who goes home?
43:24Who did the mesh arms?
43:26That's who needs to go home.
43:28Brittany did the upper half, which was the arms.
43:31Anna did that skirt.
43:32The over-skirt is the culprit, because the weight of that
43:35took an ephemeral light dress and stretched it down.
43:38Yes.
43:39But if Victor and Cain were our least favorite team,
43:42who would go home?
43:43Victor told us he made the corset.
43:47And if that's what's the problem,
43:49then Victor should go.
43:50But what we don't like about this look is how costumey it is.
43:54And Cain is a costumer.
43:56So I think we know who is going home.
44:03Let's get the designers out here.
44:07OK, designers, we have two favorite looks of the night.
44:13Coteau and Proget, and Laurence and Carousel.
44:17Your two teams delivered exactly what we were looking for.
44:22The winning team is...
44:26Coteau and Proget.
44:28Yay!
44:30Yes!
44:35But only one designer could be crowned the overall winner tonight.
44:41Coteau.
44:44Congrats, mama.
44:49Congratulations.
44:51I feel seen.
44:52Your look together had an authenticity that is so important to fashion.
44:57It felt unique. It felt true.
44:59It was really beautiful.
45:00Thank you so much.
45:01To get this win in a group challenge, I think it's amazing,
45:04and it definitely shows.
45:05Watch out for her. She has something to say.
45:07Laurence, Carousel, Proget, you are all in.
45:13Hester and Fabio, Bishme and Rami,
45:17we also loved your looks, and you are all in.
45:23You may leave the runway.
45:28Brittany and Anna,
45:31Victor and Kane,
45:33unfortunately, someone from the losing team will be up.
45:38Brittany and Anna,
45:40your look felt like you played it safe.
45:45Victor and Kane,
45:48your look needed editing.
45:51It was more costume than fashion.
45:54This was an extremely difficult decision for all of us.
46:04Victor,
46:07you're out.
46:08I'm so sorry.
46:10Brittany, Anna and Kane, you are in.
46:16Victor, what we saw of you was fantastic,
46:21and I know that you have that talent in you.
46:24I'm just happy to be here in front of Nina
46:26because I admire you so much.
46:29You're my queen. You're a goddess.
46:31I am really sad to see you go,
46:35and I'm very proud of you.
46:36Thank you guys so much. It really means a lot.
46:39You can all leave the runway.
46:43We have to remember, there's no immunity this season,
46:46so one design can be your best,
46:48and then the next design can be not well received.
46:52Oh my God, everyone's...
46:53Wait, they're all here.
46:54You're safe.
46:55I'm going home.
46:56What?
46:57Really?
46:58Yeah.
46:59I'm very sad.
47:00I wanted to make it to the end.
47:01I wanted you guys to be happy.
47:03I'm really sad.
47:04I wanted to make it to the end.
47:05I wanted you guys to see a lot more of me.
47:06It's going to be a few months of hard doubting myself.
47:09What did I do wrong?
47:10But it's part of growth.
47:12You know you're incredible.
47:13I know you're incredible.
47:14Feel good because it was still fabulous.
47:17Thank you, Christian, for everything.
47:19I admire you.
47:21Bye.
47:22Bye.
47:23Bye, Christian.
47:24I'm grateful for everything,
47:26but I'm also going to miss being on the runway in the rush.
47:34Next on Project Runway All Stars...
47:37What is happening?
47:38Oh my God.
47:39Oh my God.
47:40Each of you must create a runway look
47:43from this single bolt of fabric.
47:48What are you doing?
47:49The crotch is a little wonky.
47:50I'm starting to feel fear.
47:52This challenge was about standing out,
47:56and yours stood out.
47:57They do realize they've seen this dress
47:59since this competition started, right?
48:01All right, done.
48:02Get some bold s*** out of here.
