00:00Congratulations on tonight, though, you know, I feel like you talking about and leading up to tonight, you mentioned it being six years of AEW and Double or Nothing really just set the wheels in motion for what was to come for this company.
00:14Talk to me about how proud you are of what was accomplished tonight and just, you know, the strides that we continue to make here.
00:21Well, first of all, I have to say, even though, you know, again, Renee, you weren't officially all elite from day one.
00:30It feels like you've been with us the entire time, the entire six years, and you're a huge part of this.
00:34So thank you because you're a big part of how we made it to the six years and everybody here.
00:38It's one of the greatest nights in the history of the company.
00:40It's so special to be here tonight and know that we put on one of our best shows because I feel like AEW really rises to the occasion in big situations.
00:49And tonight was one of those occasions.
00:52And in particular, I'm so proud of the wrestlers.
00:56The wrestlers are the lifeblood of this promotion.
01:01The wrestlers are the lifeblood of this sport.
01:03The wrestlers are the lifeblood of our lives.
01:08For 52 weeks a year, the wrestlers make it possible for all of us as fans to watch pro wrestling.
01:14And for those of us who work here, they make it possible to do this.
01:16It's the only sport with no off-season.
01:18And we've gone 52 weeks a year the past six years.
01:22The last time we had a week off doing Dynamite was Christmas 2019.
01:28And we've put new shows on every single week since Christmas 2019 all through the lockdown.
01:35There's been a lot of special times.
01:38And I think what makes it even better, Renee, is knowing that 2025 has been such a great year for AEW.
01:43We've accomplished a lot of things over the years.
01:46And I think we've set a really high standard.
01:48We've created a great standard for ourselves, for our staff, and for our fans.
01:53And tonight we lived up to it.
01:55And when you set the highest standard for yourselves and you live up to it, that means you've done something really special.
02:01And I think that's what Double or Nothing 2025 is and was.
02:05And I think that's what 2025 has been for AEW.
02:08Hell of a night.
02:09I mean, I know everyone out there was having an incredible time as well.
02:13So, guys, the floor is now yours.
02:15Hit up Tony with some good questions.
02:17Thanks for having me.
02:19Hey, Kim.
02:22Wow, I lost my train of thought.
02:23I didn't expect you to say my name.
02:24I didn't call you minion number 1734.
02:28I'm 204.
02:29I have a triple-digit number.
02:31Mine is boss upside down, like a calculator.
02:34Yeah, she told me that.
02:35I was like, wow, I feel so special that I'm lower than you.
02:38But Scorpio Sky, he's been in the news a lot lately, hasn't been on AEW TV.
02:45Is there any type of update on Scorpio Sky?
02:49Yeah, I really, I like Scorpio Sky.
02:52And I had, it's interesting, Scorpio Sky's name came up recently.
02:57He mentioned he was looking to come back.
02:59And I had had talks with Scorpio Sky about different ideas and things we could do.
03:04It's probably, I can, in greater detail, it's Scorpio Sky, somebody who's been here from day one.
03:09And I have a lot of respect for it.
03:10I really like, I saw it.
03:10He said that.
03:11And I actually had talked to Scorpio Sky about doing something.
03:16And, you know, we ended up going with something in a different direction.
03:19It's kind of a long story.
03:21But it would make a lot of sense in context.
03:24But I probably, maybe not now at this time.
03:26But I do like Scorpio Sky.
03:28And he's a part of the roster, a multiple time TNT champion, former world tag team champion.
03:34And somebody I like very much.
03:37I had an idea for Scorpio Sky that I think was a good idea.
03:43And we talked about it.
03:44And I think it didn't work out for reasons kind of between us.
03:48But also, I think it's totally a legit thing.
03:51And I'm fine with it.
03:51And I would like to use him for a different idea when the time's right.
03:55Thank you.
03:59Hey, Tony.
04:00Will Prode from ProWrestling.net.
04:02Hey.
04:03I had a bunch of very serious questions to ask.
04:05But honestly, I want to know what other songs were considered for Anarchy in the Arena.
04:10Great question.
04:12It's a great question.
04:14This was my, the one I really wanted.
04:16My first choice was Bodies by far.
04:19And I was really pleased we were able to do it.
04:21So that was, it's one of those things.
04:23Thankfully, when you knock the first one out of the park, you don't have to go back and look for other ones.
04:28And there was, it was a one horse race for Bodies.
04:31It has been bouncing in my head ever since it started.
04:34I don't think it'll ever leave.
04:35Let's go.
04:36Yeah.
04:37Let's go.
04:38So thanks.
04:39I appreciate it.
04:40You're very welcome.
04:43What a night.
04:43Hi, Tony.
04:44Lance Reese from WrestleZone on 88.7 The Pulse.
04:48Congratulations on six years of All Elite Wrestling.
04:51And this Double or Nothing marks a strange transition period of Double or Nothing coming to Phoenix after hosting at Vegas for so many years.
04:59What can we expect to see AEW do as far as different locations in the near future?
05:05Well, we've announced already that All Out is coming to Toronto.
05:09And it's our first pay-per-view in Canada in a while.
05:13I'm excited to go to Renee's hometown and bring All Out there for the first time.
05:17It's our first time taking Forbidden Door to the UK.
05:20And it's our first time, you know, of course, bringing that event there.
05:24We've got some really exciting things coming.
05:25The Aragon Ballroom, I'm very excited about.
05:28Now, I've been writing shows called Dynamite since I was 12 years old, since 1995 is when I came up with the name Dynamite.
05:37And my friend, who I traded tapes with, and he lives around Chicago, and he's my oldest friend.
05:44I've known him since I was 12.
05:46And he would always do his shows in the Aragon Ballroom, my friend Todd.
05:52And he wrestled in Windy City Wrestling.
05:55And he's a great friend and a great tape trader and still contributes to AEW.
06:01And he would do his shows in Aragon Ballroom, and he would call it the Aragon Brawl Room.
06:06And I always thought that was cool.
06:07And it's going to be a great site for AEW.
06:10Of course, we're going to the 2300 Arena.
06:12I mentioned we did Dean 2 as a tribute to the late, great Dean Rasmussen last night.
06:16I'm looking forward to doing Dean 3 in the 2300 Arena, as well as Death Before Dishonor and AWTV.
06:25Doing Dean 3 there, I feel like it is going to be the most tape traders per capita in any wrestling show in the history of wrestling television,
06:34because we'll also be filming AWTV there.
06:37A lot of really cool venues and things coming up.
06:40I'm really excited to go to Glasgow for the first time.
06:42And, of course, Grand Slam Mexico.
06:46We were talking about it.
06:47It was great to have Bandito sitting here talking about what it means to him.
06:50It means a lot to a lot of us.
06:51And it means so much to the wrestlers from Mexico, but it also means a lot to a lot of us that are fans of Lucha Libre
06:56and have never gotten to go down and work in Arena Mexico.
07:00So it means a lot to me.
07:01A lot of really cool and exciting venues coming up throughout 2025.
07:05I think we've been doing great TV from very exciting venues this year.
07:09Great crowds.
07:10Tonight was a great crowd.
07:11It was our first time doing a pay-per-view in Arizona.
07:14One of my all-time favorite moments in ever in AW happened here, though,
07:17when Sting and Darby Allen won the Tag Team Championship in Arizona.
07:21And it was so great to bring Double or Nothing here and celebrate six years with these great fans in Arizona
07:29that have been supporting us and have our first pay-per-view here tonight.
07:32So hopefully it sets a standard and also sets an example to all the great fans.
07:38If you do a great job showing up for the TV and make moments count like they did for that show,
07:44and in particular Sting's championship win with Darby, I think it sets a standard and sets an example.
07:50You can get a pay-per-view.
07:52And after six years, it's our first time doing a pay-per-view in Arizona,
07:56but I can promise you it will not be the last.
07:58This crowd was awesome.
07:59Thank you.
08:05Hello, Renee.
08:07Hello, Mr. Tony.
08:08This is Darryl with KTVK here in Phoenix, Arizona.
08:11Mr. Tony, I want to ask you, as much as you are a fan, you are a boss as well here.
08:15What's a moment in an AEW show tonight that would make you say,
08:20hey, that was one of the greatest AEW shows we've put on?
08:24And can you tell us that exact moment?
08:26And from that moment, how do you plan to move on to top that one?
08:31That's a great question.
08:32I think it's really hard to put that one down to one moment.
08:35That was like a wire-to-wire show.
08:37I thought opening and closing, I felt really strongly about bookending with the Owen matches,
08:41and I thought that was such a great pay-per-view from the very first match.
08:46Mercedes Mone versus Jamie Hayter in the Owen Hart final to the final match,
08:50Will Ospreay versus Hangman Page.
08:52And in between, there were so many crazy things.
08:55I mean, you have to talk about anarchy in the arena when you talk about this show.
08:59It may have been the best anarchy in the arena yet.
09:02There have been great.
09:03The original anarchy in the arena was very special.
09:06But this was certainly one of the most amazing things we've ever done.
09:09I thought the whole show was start to finish really incredible,
09:13and there were so many great moments and memories throughout the night start to finish.
09:18And it was great to have the six-year anniversary of AEW,
09:23and there's going to be a lot of milestones coming up.
09:26Be such a perfect show.
09:28It's been a great 2025 and very fitting that this double or nothing went so well.
09:34And I couldn't possibly put it down to one moment.
09:37So I think it's better to look at it wire to wire that the whole show was a Grand Slam home run
09:43as we approached Grand Slam Mexico.
09:44Thanks for asking.
09:48Hey, Tony.
09:49Cedric Wolden, Women's Wrestling Talk.
09:51We just heard from both ladies who will compete at All In Texas tonight.
09:53And I'm just curious, with both of them being such larger-than-life personalities,
09:57is there a possibility that we can see history at All In Texas with both of them main eventing or headlining the show?
10:02It could potentially be possible.
10:05Of course, we also had Hangman vs. Mox already proclaimed here also as a great main event.
10:11I think we have great options for that show,
10:13but certainly two great Owen Hart Foundation winners
10:17and two great world championship matches as it stands right now on the table
10:21with the world champion Timeless Tony Storm set now to defend the title
10:25against the TBS champion and the Owen Hart Foundation women's tournament winner,
10:30Mercedes Monet, and with the AEW world champion Jon Moxley
10:34versus the Owen Hart Foundation men's tournament winner, Hangman Adam Page.
10:39They're both great, great matches.
10:40We have great options.
10:42And the whole show is going to be fantastic start to finish.
10:45I think it's going to be a great All In.
10:47And both matches are great options, just like I thought tonight.
10:51Both Owen Hart Foundation matches were perfect,
10:55and the show was perfect wire-to-wire bookending.
10:58Thanks for asking.
11:01Hey, Chris Reshing, Slam Network.
11:03I just was wondering, Will Ospreay's been doing such great work
11:06and having great matches for you guys.
11:08And with the loss tonight, just wondering what you have planned moving forward,
11:11what he might be doing, and the future holds for Will.
11:13Thanks for asking.
11:15I really, really, really appreciate it.
11:17And I'm glad you teed that up because Will Ospreay has been absolutely fantastic in AEW.
11:23And we had Hangman Adam Page, the winner of the tournament, in here earlier.
11:27And he deserves his flowers.
11:30He deserves his applause.
11:31He deserves the spotlight.
11:32Hangman Adam Page, absolutely fantastic for AEW for the past six years.
11:38And I do feel like Hangman Adam Page is a deserving winner.
11:41At the same time, I think Will Ospreay would have been a deserving winner.
11:45I think Will Ospreay has been one of the most important people ever to walk into AEW.
11:49I think when Will Ospreay came into AEW, going into 2024,
11:54it was one of the most important moves we could have possibly made.
11:58His arrival breathed new life into the company.
12:00I can tell you, as we had injuries come up,
12:04anytime somebody needed to step up in 2024, Will Ospreay was that man.
12:08In 2025, he has continued for the past couple of years.
12:11He has been a workhorse, no pun intended, as he was wrestling Hangman.
12:16Will Ospreay has just been absolutely fantastic for AEW.
12:20Every time I've needed to lean on the man, he's been there.
12:22Every time the company needed to lean on Will Ospreay, he has been there time after time after time after time.
12:27He's been involved in some of the greatest matches and moments and memories ever in AEW's history.
12:33Even though Will Ospreay has not been here the entire six years from day one,
12:37I can tell you Will Ospreay is as important and as much a part of AEW as anybody.
12:42He's as much of a valuable leader, as much of a valuable face of AEW.
12:48Will Ospreay is as all elite as anybody,
12:51and Will Ospreay would have been an absolutely fantastic winner of this tournament.
12:55Will Ospreay, at times, has carried AEW on his back,
12:58and I'm so fortunate to have him.
13:01He would be on a Mount Rushmore of people who walked into my life at the right time,
13:06and I'm so grateful for Will Ospreay and the run he's had since he arrived,
13:12and it's only the beginning for Will Ospreay.
13:14It's not the end.
13:15Two more questions, guys.
13:19Tony, I just got to be at the shows that you had at home in Detroit.
13:22You talked a little bit about the energy that you had in the arena here.
13:25Can you give me your thoughts now that you guys have been working some of the smaller arenas
13:29on the energy that you see in these arenas?
13:31And tell me your thoughts on coming back to Detroit, man.
13:34Oh, what a great question.
13:35Well, I'm very grateful to the Motor City, man.
13:38That venue was fantastic.
13:40There are a lot of great venues around Detroit.
13:43Of course, Masonic Temple was a fantastic venue,
13:46and talking about 2025, there's been some new arenas, new theaters, new venues,
13:52and I think that was one of the real home runs we hit across the nights we spent in Detroit.
13:58Detroit is a really special city to me as a wrestling fan
14:01because realistically, there's no way we would be in this position.
14:05There's no way I'd be in any of the positions I'm in, frankly,
14:07without the city of Detroit and the hard work in Motor City and the automotive industry
14:12because my father really came to America with nothing and built himself
14:17and built his company, built everything he's got from the auto industry,
14:23and he's a self-made person, and the industry he made himself in is automotive industry.
14:29And through the work he did in Detroit and working with the auto industry
14:33and in the auto industry, my dad was able to build an auto parts company,
14:38build factories all over America and then all over the world,
14:42and he became an NFL owner.
14:45He became a Premier League owner, and then through all the hard work he did,
14:50all of these things based in the automotive industry,
14:52it allowed us to get a position in sports and media,
14:56and that put us in a great position to launch AEW,
14:59and now we're celebrating six years.
15:02He was at the original show at the first ever Double or Nothing.
15:06I talked to him today, and I know he's as proud of what we've done now as ever,
15:10and it's been a really special year for AEW.
15:14And when I think of Detroit, I think of the great people there,
15:17people I've known all my life,
15:18and the fact that without the city of Detroit, there would be no AEW.
15:22So it was great doing the shows there.
15:26We had some great TV there.
15:27We had Blood and Guts there.
15:28Mox and Kenny had a great cage match there.
15:32A lot of great moments in Detroit,
15:33and Detroit can be a great pay-per-view city, I think, for AEW, too.
15:37After we had a great first-time pay-per-view here,
15:40first pay-per-view ever in Arizona,
15:42I think Michigan would be a great pay-per-view state, too.
15:45Let's go.
15:46Thanks, Kyle.
15:48Last question.
15:50Hey, Mark.
15:51How you doing, Tony?
15:52Good to see you.
15:53Good to see you.
15:54Mark Hoke, 1015 FM, Las Vegas.
15:56How are you feeling about other companies scheduling events on top of and around yours on a consistent basis?
16:05It's pretty consistent.
16:07I'd say it's the most consistent event head-to-head scheduling I've seen since Jim Crockett promotion.
16:15Saw a lot of scheduling that went that way,
16:19and I can tell you this will go a lot differently than that did, Mark.
16:24Thank you for asking.
16:25I appreciate you all being here, and God bless you all.
16:31I really appreciate this.
16:32We've been doing this for six years, and tonight was a great success.
16:36This has been the most special year in the history of the company.
16:39A lot of you have been covering AEW from day one.
16:42Some of you have joined us along the way, but a lot of you have been here since we first announced AEW,
16:47and now we've been doing these scrums officially.
16:51It's six years of post-pay-per-view scrums, six years of pay-per-views.
16:55Thank you all for being a part of it.
16:57Thank you all for being here for Double or Nothing, number seven,
17:00and I look forward to 70 more of them,
17:04and thank you for celebrating six years with us,
17:07and here's to 600 more.
17:09Thank you very much.
17:10Thank you.
17:11Thank you.
17:11Thank you.
