00:00Hello guys, welcome to the Hive Production.
00:09In this video, we are going to create an amazing reflection with V-Ray Studio Light setup.
00:15So let's get it started.
00:18First of all, I'm going to take the plane and I will draw a plane just for the guidance.
00:26And this plane has to be in the central line.
00:32And after central lining, I'm just trying to go to the V-Ray Material and we'll assign a texture which is the texture of a wine glass vector texture.
00:48Okay, so if you press F3 on your screen, so in front viewport, so you can see the mean textures by pressing F3.
01:02Right, so what I'm going to do, I'm going to go to the Object Properties and make it Freeze and also uncheck Show Frozen in Gray because through this you cannot move and you cannot select this.
01:19Okay, so now I'm going to take a line and I will draw a line like this.
01:32Just click on it, click on it here and here I'm going to create this and this.
01:44Okay, so that was my shape and it was the basic shape.
01:53I'm going to select the vertices, select this vertices and find out.
01:59Fill it.
02:00Fill it can make it smooth to turn one vertex into two like this.
02:06Okay, so this time I'm going to assign a modifier called Leth.
02:36Press Leth and go to the Minimum so my glass is ready.
02:42So I'm going back to the vertices again, resize them and make them the wine glass.
02:49So this is the basic wine glass I have created.
02:52I'm going to put the vertex more outside because I want a little bit of strong grip.
03:00All right, so you can see these lines because this is the depth line where you can put your water or juice.
03:11So where water and juice can stay that means we need more details in here.
03:16So I'm going to take a spline, select the spline and we'll go to the outline mode and we'll give the outline that means the depth of the glass where I can use the juices, wine or water.
03:32So stay in it.
03:35So now I'm going to take segments and we'll delete the extra segments.
03:40We don't want them.
03:43So I have deleted them.
03:45These are the extra segments.
03:48Okay, I think we don't need to select the vertex, make them top and as well, you need to make their surface.
03:56So that was my lat modifier and I can see
04:12this is too much thick, the grip of the glass too much thick.
04:17We need to make them more inverse and then you can press minimum so it will look like this.
04:25Okay, one more thing.
04:28Well, you will have to check.
04:33Both of them make them more thin.
04:38That's I think this was good and you can see the inner surface close as well.
04:45But the one thing that we have the lack of segments, I'm going to increase the segments of 60.
04:49So it is curved and one more thing, the corners are sharp.
04:53So go to the vertices, select their vertices and make them fill it.
05:02So now this will not sharp anymore.
05:08So according to the model, my glass is ready.
05:13I'm going to unfreeze and delete this.
05:16I don't want and as well, I'm going to make them center, put them in the center of the viewport.
05:28Okay, place none here and
05:30So for the next step, I'm just going to take the camera, target camera and from the top viewport,
05:42I'm going to place the target camera like this.
05:46Okay, press C so it will be active in the viewport.
05:51And then you just need to find out their angle.
05:58How can you use this?
06:02Add.
06:04Now I'm going to create a studio light setup.
06:06I'm going to take the box and we'll draw a box like this.
06:10Okay, so for now on, I'm going to just place the box in place the glass inside of the box.
06:20And I'm going to take the perspective view back again and convert them into poly.
06:26Okay, after converting them, just take the polygon and delete their segments.
06:31So I delete their polygons and again, you may continue camera viewport.
06:39Just fulfill their borders.
06:42And one more thing that you will have to do is that you will have to curve their turning points.
06:48So select the edge.
06:53Select this edge and make them chamfer.
06:58Increase the value of chamfer and also add some segments that will going to make it smooth.
07:07And then you will have to apply a shell modifier to create double surface
07:19in it.
07:20Okay, so this time
07:25I'm going to take the camera viewport
07:28and also apply mesh smooth modifier to create some smoothness, but I don't think that we need
07:36mesh smoothness. I'm going to try this, but I think
07:43mesh smooth is destroying my setup. If I will add two edges
07:51in the studio setup from left to right like this.
07:55Okay, let's see. Now it's much better, but I'm not satisfied. I think we should delete
08:05mesh smooth, but we don't want that. Okay, so the next step is just to give materials. I'm going to go to
08:14the video materials and we'll find out the value of color has to be
08:25bluish
08:25and it's up to you. I mean it's not mandatory that you have to select this point or this color.
08:38It's up to you what kind of a color you want
08:41and I'm going to give some reflections
08:43and we'll give the value of 0.9 glossiness
08:51Make it more darker. Okay
08:53All right, then select the glass. I'm going to take video materials. Once again, go to the video material
09:06and assign the video material on the glass. Okay, so go to the diffuse and give their color value has to be
09:22the value of red will be 0 value of green will be
09:2617 and the value of blue will be 18. I think the value of green has to be 14.
09:35And I'm going to give reflection of high reflection approximately 250 or 235 something.
09:43Adding 223 is okay, but the reflection has to be high 255.
09:48So now the glass is reflected and this time I'll take the render settings and find out the render.
10:04All right, so we need to wait a little bit then that how much take a render take a time.
10:10And so this is my render which is totally a black. Why? Because there is no light in this scene.
10:18I'm going to apply V-Ray light.
10:23And from the left side of viewport, I will draw a light
10:29here and we'll put them like this.
10:33Okay, I'm going to give their value has to be
10:41a little bit bluish and invisible light and with no effect specular and reflection.
10:47So let's see the render. Okay, so my glass is looking here.
10:53We can see my glass with a glass material.
10:57But it's not totally affected. It's not affected glass.
11:01What we should do, we should first
11:06give their settings has to be 50% and also apply the check on effect reflection and effect specular.
11:15So now see the difference of the glass here. Have you seen?
11:21There's a lot of difference.
11:25Now the glass is looking like a glass.
11:27What am I going to do? I'm going, I have taken another duplicate from left to right of the light.
11:32So this is the main reflection. But there's one thing which is I have doubt in it that you can see the behind
11:43reflections on my studios. That's why I'm going to cross the lights out of the box.
11:48And also select the
11:55the multiplier has to be high. Select the studio setup has to be near
12:03because of the reflections. And now this is not reflective anymore. The glass is all just reflective.
12:09But as you can see, I'm going to take V-ray light once again and place another light from the top.
12:23Because it was not looking affected to lighting.
12:25But this light has to be 30% and invisible and no reflections of checking.
12:36But you can see extra reflections. So I'm going to remove the check of effect reflection in it.
12:41Now let's see the render and it look like a beautiful glass, I hope.
12:53And I hope you like this tutorial. And if you like this, subscribe my channel, press the bell icon.
13:01Let me show you throughout the zoom that it looks prettier and properly glass material with reflective
13:09studio light. And also you can play with some more effective colors with some more effective
13:18back players, white color, green color, blue color, it's up to you. So I hope you like this. Thank you so much.
