She lets them nurse on her as much as they want. Susan told us about taking in a very pregnant Ginger over 6 years ago, and how Ginger hasn't stopped being a nurturing mama ever since!

00:30She had nine puppies and we found them all homes.

00:34We realized how sweet she was.

00:36Thought that she would be a really good addition to the household.

00:40When we had our first litter of kittens,

00:43I noticed that she was really interested in them.

00:46She was just great with them.

00:49I think she wanted to channel her motherly instincts somewhere.

00:54She would cuddle with them.

00:55She would keep them warm.

00:57And a lot of times she would let these kittens nurse on her.

01:01After having a litter, she knows what it takes to raise a baby.

01:05We've had Ginger for over six years now.

01:13If she can be 10, she can be older.

01:15We honestly have no idea.

01:17She's definitely slowing down, but she does perk up when we get new kittens in.

01:29She's helped me foster close to 200 kittens.

01:33We have not had a single kitten who did not leave here completely trusting dogs.
