00:00Today, Southeast Asian leaders adopted a renewed Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the ASEAN Community

00:07Vision 2045. Known as ASEAN 2045, our shared future, the declaration is a roadmap that lays

00:14out the bloc's vision for the next two decades in the face of growing global trade uncertainty

00:19and intensifying geopolitical tensions. But today, the international order is unsettled.

00:25Geopolitical tensions, economic fragmentation, climate and technological disruption are testing

00:31the bonds between nations. Yet, these same technologies carry risks. Left unmanaged, they

00:38may deepen inequality, displace livelihoods, and outpace our roots. We must not only embrace

00:46innovation, we must learn to govern it together and with care. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also

00:54said the new vision is a shared blueprint that is anchored in realism, animated by resolve,

00:59and made possible by trust.

01:01And as we turn this page, we renew our promise to our peoples, to our region, and to the generations

01:10yet to rise. Let us move forward with clarity in our vision, steadiness in our purpose, and

01:17unity in our will to build the ASEAN we owe to future generations.
