00:00We have a child strategy between the government task force and we're looking at all the different
00:06issues that affect child poverty. What we inherited was child poverty on the increase but we know that
00:12housing costs, good employment, these are also factors to ensuring that children are out of poverty
00:18and we will be coming forward with our strategy later this year. We've been looking at housing
00:22for example the work that I'm doing, we've seen levels of homelessness increase, we've brought in
00:28the ending of section 21 no fault evictions which will support children. We've got 165,000 children
00:35in temporary accommodation, those costs are spiralling. That's just one element which I'm
00:39aware of in my department which will help alleviate child poverty and we're already taking action on
00:44that but we'll outline the whole government response to it later this year.
