As the winner of our business of financing and investment, we know very much that you play in a
00:05
space that, you know, though you have a very legal background, but you play in a space, you know,
00:11
where finances, investment issues are discussed, right? Tell us a bit about, you know, having to
00:19
do law in that space. Okay, so thank you. I just want to start by saying thank you. I was extremely
00:26
honored to have received the award. It came as a surprise, to be honest. I wasn't even aware I had
00:32
been shortlisted until someone mentioned it. And then when I saw the group of women I had been
00:38
shortlisted with, it was, you know, I was deeply honored. So let me start by saying thank you.
00:44
On the issue of the workspace, for me, it's what I do. It's something that I'm used to. Because you
00:52
can work in a company and not expect to do financing and investment. Their loans to be
00:58
taken, their facilities to be gotten, and all this all come together. The documentation for
01:07
all these contracts, for all this financing, the facility agreements, they all have to happen
01:12
somehow. And they can make or break how a company grows. So yes, for us, it's just a normal day.
01:20
Okay, so, so I don't take so much of your time. What does this award mean for you?
01:26
It means, for me, that I'm seen. That the work you do isn't wasted. That the effort you put
01:37
in daily, the sacrifices you're making, somebody notices. And I think as women, it's important
01:43
for us to be seen. Because a lot of us are used to shrinking ourselves.
01:47
Right.
01:48
To, to, you know, we shrink ourselves every day.
01:51
Right.
01:52
To let peace reign, to let this go. So it's nice to know that even with all that, we're
01:57
still noticed. And I think if you ask a lot of the women that got their awards, that would
02:01
be the same thread that would run for everybody, the fact that they're noticed. Because all of
02:06
us are just doing our work. We weren't looking to be recognized for it. It is nice to be
02:12
recognized for it. Even when you're not expecting it.
02:16
So, going forward, moving forward, what more should we expect from you? Because of course,
02:22
I know that there will be more awards coming.
02:24
Amen. Amen. I'll still do what I'll do. I don't think I'll do anything different. Just do my work.
02:31
I'll just continue doing the best. Put in my best each day I go to work.
02:37
What's your advice to you? Or what more do you have for women out there who are looking
02:41
up to, you know, be on the same table with you? And also grab one of these two.
02:47
Just keep grinding. Because one day we'll all come together. Put in the time, put in the
02:55
effort. Initially, don't be in a hurry to go too fast. Because if you go too fast, then
03:01
you get to the point where you're at the top. But you don't have the foundation for
03:04
it. So, you know this thing they say, never belittle the humble beginnings. Yes, it's
03:10
important that you always remember that. Thank you so much for coming here. Thank you
03:15
so much. You're most welcome. I appreciate you. Thank you. And thank you for having me.
03:18
Thank you. And thank you so much. Thank you.
