00:00Our coverage continues right now with Allie Reed.
00:02She joins us live from London, Kentucky.
00:04And, you know, Allie, you've been dealing with the severe weather outbreak that we had a couple days ago.
00:09And then yesterday, you had severe weather in the area.
00:12Tell me what your day was like yesterday.
00:17Well, and also this morning, it just dumped rain on us about three minutes ago.
00:21So that's why we were a little late to the party here this morning.
00:24But certainly a sense of relief, no doubt in my mind, than what we were seeing yesterday.
00:30A lot of people worried, you know, could we potentially see a round two to what we saw from Friday's tornado.
00:35This morning, we're back at the command post.
00:37You can see behind us here, crews already at work this morning to be able to clean debris.
00:41This has been a central area for officials to come in and have those conversations to make important calls.
00:47This is where we heard from the governor yesterday during his press conference.
00:51He made that mandatory evacuation for the hardest-hit neighborhoods.
00:55It may have seemed urgent at the time, but it definitely was the right one.
00:59Conditions, as you can see in this video, that's going to be playing on your screen, right?
01:02This is from overnight.
01:03It was dangerous, and officials say it simply wasn't safe for anyone to remain exposed in those conditions.
01:09The tornado risk stayed low, but emergency officials weren't taking any chances, even with that small risk.
01:15This morning, that evacuation order again lifted, and just like we saw in the hours after the tornado hit, neighbors already back at work.
01:22Take a listen.
01:24We went from one mode to search and rescue to a mode now that we're trying to start to get up the debris, clean up.
01:32But I don't think it's really settled in with anybody right now.
01:35The future is we're going to rebuild.
01:38You know, this is a resilient place.
01:40London, Laurel County is, and just the state.
01:43You know, we're Kentucky proud.
01:46So, yeah, there's devastation, there's heartbreak, there's sadness.
01:50But keep an eye on us, because we're going to rise from the ashes.
01:57And you'll hear from the mayor throughout the morning as we continue to check in with you.
02:01Again, one of those hardest-hit neighborhoods directly behind me here.
02:04Again, really interesting to see some of this.
02:07We're going to continue to check in with you throughout the morning.
02:09We'll be live in the next hour at 9 o'clock to bring you some more information from London, Kentucky, guys.
02:15We'll send it back to you.
02:17Thanks, Allie Reed, for your report.
02:18We'll be checking back in, and we appreciate your update.
02:21We'll be in the next results.
02:28Thanks, everybody.
