00:00Great talk. It was in a speech. We talked about things. Who do you work for?
00:04Nurse.
00:05Who?
00:05Nurse.
00:06I don't even know what the hell that is.
00:09Get yourself a real deal.
00:12Let me tell you, let me tell you.
00:14I think we have unbelievable unity.
00:18I think we're going to get everything we want.
00:21And I think we're going to have a great victory.
00:23And this man has done a great job.
00:25And I think this was a tremendous session.
00:27You may want to say something.
00:28Yeah, it was a great meeting.
00:29The party is unified.
00:31The House of Republican Conference is excited.
00:33Multiple standing ovations.
00:35They love this president.
00:36The people back home love what he's doing.
00:37It's historic.
00:38And everybody understands the scope and the meaning of this.
00:41If we do not accomplish this mission, every one of you, all the American people,
00:45are going to have the highest tax increase that you've ever had.
00:47Among the debt ceiling cliff that's approaching and all the other problems,
00:51this is the bill to do it.
00:52I think we're going to get it done, Mr. President.
00:54The Democrats want to raise your taxes if this doesn't work,
00:57if this doesn't get the numbers that the Republicans want.
01:00And I think it does.
01:01I think it's all Republican votes.
01:03The Democrats are going to be raising your taxes by 68%.
01:07And they will not do the 60%.
01:10We're going to have an 85% cut in drug costs.
01:1385% cut in drug costs.
01:17The Democrats, the drug prices are going to go up.
01:20I can't imagine a Democrat not voting for this.
01:23I think the Democrats, if they don't vote for it,
01:25that means they're voting for an increase in drug prices.
01:28Think of that versus an 80% to an 85%, maybe 75%,
01:32but it could be an 85% cut in drug costs.
01:36Okay?
01:36Mr. President, will you need to reach out to individual members?
01:41Will you need to make a pitch to individual members?
01:42I don't think so.
01:43No, that's what I did today.
01:45That's really what we did today.
01:47I think it was a really great.
01:49That was a meeting of love.
01:50Let me tell you, that was love in that room.
01:52There was no shouting.
01:54I think it was a meeting of love.
01:55There were a couple of things that we talked about specifically
01:58where some people felt a little bit one way or the other,
02:01not a big deal.
02:02And I covered them.
02:03It wasn't so much a speech.
02:04I covered certain points.
02:06And I think there was, I'd be very surprised.
02:08You told them you were losing the pressure.
02:11No, I didn't tell them.
02:12Who told you I said I'm losing?
02:13That's what we heard inside the room.
02:14It's a lie.
02:15Wait a minute.
02:16Who told you that?
02:17You heard from people inside the room.
02:19Oh, really?
02:20That's totally true.
02:21I never used the term.
02:21I didn't say losing.
02:22I didn't even talk about it.
02:23In fact, it's the opposite.
02:24I said, I think we're going to get it done.
02:26I'm not losing patience.
02:27We're ahead of schedule.
02:29Anybody that told you that is a liar.
02:33Wait a minute.
02:33Wait a minute.
02:35I never mentioned the word losing patience
02:36because I'm not losing patience.
02:38We're ahead of schedule.
02:38That's why I asked you.
02:40Why don't you go back to your source
02:41and tell them they're liars if the source even exists?
02:44Mr. President, you said, don't ask with Medicaid, apparently, you can say, in the room.
03:13There is some concern among some Republicans, including Senator Josh Hawley,
03:17that this could impact benefits and that it could be announced to avoid hidden tax on the...
03:22I didn't say it.
03:23Here's what I said.
03:24Here's what I said.
03:24Here's what I said.
03:25What do you want to say to those members who are reporting off a little bit?
03:27I said waste, fraud, and abuse for Medicaid.
03:32If you find waste or fraud or abuse, we want to strengthen Medicaid.
03:37We want to strengthen Medicare.
03:40Waste, fraud, and abuse.
03:42The Democrats will let illegals be on.
03:45They'll destroy it.
03:46It will be destroyed.
03:47They want to have illegal immigrants be on.
03:50And if you do that, because it wasn't designed for that.
03:54Waste, fraud, and abuse.
03:55Can you guarantee that your voters who support the new election, working-class voters, will
04:00not lose health insurance under this bill?
04:03Oh, they won't lose health insurance.
04:04Not only that, remember, I'm cutting drug prices by 85%.
04:08And right now, I'm saving it.
04:13I'm saving the whole thing, because I did something that nobody was willing to do.
04:17Other countries pay a tiny fraction what we do.
04:21And I instituted favorite nations.
04:23We're now going to pay the lowest in the world.
04:25We're going to be the equivalent of the lowest country in the world.
04:30People go to London.
04:32They go to Canada.
04:33They go to other countries, many other countries, because they want to buy their pharmaceutical
04:38products, their drugs, at a fraction of the cost.
04:42Now, we're going to have the lowest cost anywhere in the world.
04:45Nobody else would do that but me.
04:46And that might be an election by itself.
04:50It might be election-winning.
04:51Now, when you add that in, when you put that into Medicaid and Medicare, we've just strengthened
04:56Medicare and Medicaid.
04:57And the Democrats won't do that.
04:59You know why?
04:59Because they're taken care of by the drug companies.
05:02And the ones that are taken care of are hard-line.
05:05Some Republicans get money from drug companies.
05:09And that's okay, because they're okay with it.
05:11I talked about it.
05:13The drug companies take care of everybody.
05:15It's the biggest lobby, most powerful lobby in the world.
05:18There's no lobby like that.
05:20But the Republicans are okay with it.
05:22Not only okay with it, they love it.
05:24It was time.
05:25So we're going to cut drug prices by from 75 to 85.
05:30In some cases, even more than that.
05:32You know, I was telling the story that, and some of you were at that news conference.
05:35I gave a news conference where I was the first one in 18 years to cut drug costs for the year.
05:42And they were like a quarter of a point to half a point less.
05:45And I was very proud of that.
05:46Now I'm cutting them by 80, 85 percent because I stopped the scam.
05:53This was a scam between the middlemen and the drug companies.
05:57This was a giant scam.
05:58And by the way, and other countries, because other countries fought for this.
06:03This was a giant scam.
