Wigan Warriors released an emotive content piece encapsulating  club culture of strength in vulnerability and its unique connectivity with the fans and community it represents.

00:00I was so young, feeling so isolated and so confused as to why they were excluding me and treating me differently.

00:24I was a young boy, just trying to comprehend what was happening.

00:28I knew it was wrong, I knew he was wrong.

00:30Am I ready for this? How am I going to provide?

00:34I couldn't explain how I was feeling in that moment, apprehensive and nervous, worried that I wouldn't be enough.

00:42It was the greatest pain and sadness I have ever felt.

00:45In the space of three days, we had experienced the highest high and the lowest low.

00:51Singled out simply because of the colour of my skin.

00:54I knew this wasn't how you treat women.

00:56I was 18 year old and I was going to be a father.

01:00The day my daughter was born was the happiest and most proud I have felt in my life.

01:05Less than 48 hours later, my mother sadly passed away after her 18th month battle with cancer.

01:12I've always been proud of who I am and where I came from. Nothing anyone can say can change that.

01:18But I wouldn't change nothing for the world. I am a provider.

01:22I had a reason to carry on when it could have been so easy to stop.

01:26Your doctor was a child and I was born in the middle of prayer.

01:29And I was waiting for women for a long time to have been so easy to break down.

01:32And I was trying to get it out.

01:35I couldn't do anything to make any sense.

01:38Although that was not as difficult as possible, I was trying to throw it out.

01:43But I was trying to keep my heart.
