00:00Hello everyone, I'm Crotuck, and I'm here to tell you what's what on Warhammer 40,000 Speed Freaks.
00:07Speed Freaks is a combat racing game featuring the Warhammer 40,000 universe's orc faction and their wild vehicles.
00:15At launch, Speed Freaks includes several of these vehicles, from armored tanks to nimble buggies.
00:22While you're racing to objectives and chasing down enemies, they'll have full control of the camera to aim your weapons.
00:28A mix of racing skill and combat prowess are needed to top the scoreboard.
00:34This game is launching with two game modes.
00:38Death Rally, which has your team fighting over capture points and then racing to the next one.
00:43And Kill Convoy, a death race between two hulking Stompas where your objective is to pick up bombs and detonate them on the enemy's Stompa.
00:52Death Rally is a short, close-quarters mode that's more focused on DACA, DACA, DACA.
01:00Kill Convoy matches last longer by comparison, and the capture-the-flag-inspired objective means that Waza is king.
01:08That being said, in the right hands, all types of vehicles can be powerful in both modes.
01:14Right now, there are eight vehicles in Speed Freaks.
01:18Each vehicle has a main weapon, a unique secondary and tertiary ability, and a vehicle ability that is shared by other vehicles in the same weight class.
01:28So for the tanks, their shared ability has the Gretchen crew performing repairs to regain some health.
01:34For all the lighter vehicles, it's a dash, a versatile movement ability.
01:39You can see these inputs on screen, and they are fully rebindable through the settings menu.
01:45Each vehicle also has a boost bar that fills up over time, and learning when to spin your boost is the key to really going fast in Speed Freaks.
01:54The basic rule you should keep in mind is, use dash to gain speed, and use boost to maintain that speed.
02:03And stacking those effects lets you build up to some real, proper Waza.
02:08To unlock new vehicles, head to the Challenges screen to see their Unlocked Challenge.
02:14To start off with, you'll have four vehicles available to play.
02:18I'll give a quick overview of each one.
02:19The Boomdaka Snaz Wagon is a short-range, daka-spewing buggy that can hurl Burna bottles to melt enemies and use its smoky exhausts to make sneaky escapes.
02:31The Ruck-A-Truck Squig Buggy is a support vehicle that can replenish teammates' health with grub squigs and protect itself or others with disruptive squig mines.
02:41The Looted Wagon is an armored tank that can deliver long-range damage with its cannon or grot-guided bomb.
02:51The Custom Booster Blaster is an acrobatic hot rod equipped with a medium-range rivet cannon and the ability to launch explosively into the air.
03:01While you're unlocking the vehicles and their cosmetics, you'll be making progress in the WAA path.
03:07Speed Freaks does not have a time-limited battle pass, so you're free to take as long as you want to complete the WAA path.
03:16If you're interested in earning more cosmetics as you play, you can purchase the Loot Pass from the in-game mech shop.
03:22That's all for now.
