The 1978 Spider-Man (スパイダーマン, Supaidāman) is an action-packed Japanese superhero TV series produced by Toei Company. It ran for 41 episodes plus a mini-movie from May 17, 1978, to March 14, 1979. Loosely inspired by the original Marvel character, this version introduces Takuya Yamashiro as Spider-Man, retaining the iconic costume and powers but with a unique origin story.
