00:00P.K.R.'s Rafizi Romney has stood his ground on skipping the party's upcoming Youth and

00:05Juanita Congress, traditionally opened by the deputy president, citing a breach of party

00:10protocol.

00:11He said the launch of the Saba P.K.R. election machinery was announced without discussion

00:16in the political bureau or central leadership council, Sinar Harian reported.

00:22Rafizi highlighted that Nurul Iza Anwar and Amiruddin Shaori were announced as launching

00:26the machinery without notice, clashing with his own program.

00:31He said the move placed grassroots leaders in a difficult position and exposed serious

00:35communication issues in the party.

00:39Rafizi stressed the importance of following proper procedures and maintaining party decorum

00:43to avoid disorder.

00:45Yesterday, P.K.R. Secretary-General Fouzia Saleh expressed hope that Rafizi would reconsider

00:50his decision and uphold the long-standing party tradition.

00:54The deputy president had reportedly sent a letter to P.K.R. President Anwar Ibrahim informing

00:59him of his decision not to accept an invitation to officiate the two meetings.

01:04He maintained that his decision was about upholding party discipline and not about blocking others,

01:09warning against breaches of protocol for political convenience, especially with the approach of

01:14party elections.
